Unlike many homes for rent in San Miguel de Allende, our house has incredible-spectacular-wonderful view of all of San Miguel - red-streaked sunsets. But our home also, also unlike other homes, is designed and furnished with architectural simplicity - indoor and out white walls, architect designed mesquite furniture, and Michoacan ceramic folkart. One of our tenants who rented for a year, said, "that's why we wanted your house, uncluttered with colonial stuff."
One measure of a house's comfort and popularity is return rentals. Folks from North Carolina, rentors since 2005, said "Our 2006 stay in San Miguel exceeded all prior visits in terms of pure enjoyment. The mesquite furniture was designed by the architect-owner and made in a village near San Miguel, while the stone flooring comes from a quarry just over the mountains. Classic Mexican folk art from the state of Michoacan adds color and warmth throughout the spacious, three-bedroom home, and brilliant bougainvillea blooms in the central courtyard as a fountain splashes serenely. A domed brick ceiling with roots in 16th-century Spain shelters the pretty outdoor terrace.
This elegant but relaxed home can easily accommodate a family and sleeps six. There are two bedrooms with king-size beds, one with twins, and a fold-down futon couch in the living room. Each bedroom an living room have ceiling fans. Portabl heaters in bedrooms and living room plus fireplace. Less heatng is required because home is so well isulated. Other amenities include cable TV, CD stereo system, and VCR. Internet availabe for extra charge.
Town and market lie an easy ten-minute walk downhill, and a taxi-ride back (when you are loaded with purchases) costs about $2.00 dollars. The home comes with a housekeeper, who is a great cook for the main mid-afternoon (la comida) meal or lunch. She can also help with the grocery shopping if given taxi and grocery money.

Exquisite view. Ideal location. Lovely maid. We’ve stayed in several locations in San Miguel, and this is the best value in town. Strongly recommended.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, sightseeing.
