Perfect Condo for our Williamsburg Vacation!

I can't say enough about how happy we were with our rental experience and stay at the Historic Powhatan Resort. Dave was wonderful to work with, and provided very helpful information, directions, etc. Our 2nd floor 2 bedroom unit was wonderful. It was great to have room to spread out, a full kitchen, and washer and dryer. The units must be well-insulated, because we never heard any noise from neighbors, even though all of the units around us were occupied. My only complaint about the property was that they need a larger indoor pool, but it wasn't a big deal. Also, my kids were disappointed that no one under age 16 was allowed in the hot tubs. For those visiting between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the outdoor pools look wonderful. I do recommend requesting a newly renovated unit, as I have heard of some bad experiences with older units. Dave requested a newly-renovated unit for us, and I also put in a request directly with the resort, just to make sure. While all units are "Smoking" units, we couldn't smell any smoke in ours (and I am picky about that). The price for this unit was very, very reasonable -- less than we would have paid for a moderate hotel. We purchased the "Williamsburg Bounce Ticket", which includes unlimited admission for a week to both Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, including free parking at Busch Gardens (a $12/day value). If you buy online at either the Busch Gardens or Colonial Williamsburg website, the prices were only $98 per adult and $89 per child! Then we bought a combo ticket to Jamestown Settlement, Historic Jamestowne, Yorktown Victory Center, and Yorktown Battlefield for $29 per adult and $9 per child. This was definitely the most economical way to see the sights. Don't fall for the other ticket packages that cost much more ($171 per person for these same sights, not including Busch Gardens parking.) I highly recommend this resort and Dave & Sandy. We will be telling our friends about this, and hope to come back ourselves sometime!

Diamond Greensprings Resort.

Diamonds Greensprings Resort is a perfect place for families of children of all ages. We traveled with a group of 30 families with children ranging from 6 months to 17 years of age. They all enjoyed the resort activities. Many times we had a difficult time convincing the teens to leave the resort. Their favorite activities were the indoor pool and the tennis courts. The security was exceptional and the gentleman at the gate made you feel welcome with his infectious smile. We had several from our group that took advantage of resort tour to Washington DC. and loved it. Most of our group purchased Williamsburg tickets at the resort and received a considerable discount. The condos were great for our families. They were clean and well equipped. We hope to return again next year. Dave has been a pleasure to work with and always returns phone calls within 24 hour to answer any questions that I had regarding reservations and accommodation request. Even during a snow storm without power he went to a local bookstore to contact us about our final plans for our trip. Dave defiantly goes above the call of duty. He assisted us with every detail of our vacation planning. We had families that traveled by trains, planes and automobiles. Dave assisted each one of us in knowing the best manner to maximize our vacation experience. Upon our arrival Dave contacted us to ensure that our accommodations were appropriate. They were perfect. We hope to use Dave for all of our future vacation planning. Thanks again Dave. You’re the Best!!!

My husband and I recently returned from a visit to Powhatan Resort. It was a great time. The two bedroom unit was clean and roomy and well furnished. We had some problems with our trip and the owners graciously worked with us. We would definitely love to rent there again.We enjoyed the location a lot. It is close to the restored area. There is a Ukrops grocery nearby with wonderful fresh bread and great carry out. There are excellent restaurants very close as well. We enjoyed the "Center Street Grill" and the "Bakers Crust". We also like "Aromas" downtown. We highly recommend a vacation in Williamsburg and staying at Powhatan Resort.

Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Dave was wonderful to work with. He quickly shared availability dates and made planning our vacation a breeze. We loved the accommodations! We walked to the pool and tennis courts and Williamsburg and the parks were super close! Look forward to returning again, soon.

Greta Place, Words can not say enough about this place.First of all Dave an Sandy are the Greatest.They went above an beyound to meet are needs,an did just that...The condo was FANTASTIC,1st floor 2bdroom condo with hottub,PERFECT....The place was clean,quite,an security around the clock..Pure RELAXATION just what we needed,I would tell anybody wanting to visit this area to check out thier web site because they truily did deliver all the web site offeres an then some.. 5 stars in my book...... Having only just booked our stay for a trip in April, I can say that service from Dave so far has been excellent. They offer an uncomparable price for the resort. Emails are answered quickly, phone contact was easily made, and conversations were a pleasure. Dealing with someone who personally stays there, as opposed to an employee is a plus. We look forward to our trip, and we'll post again once we get home.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Powhatan Plantation. The staff is efficient and helpful, the property is very well maintained, with lots of facilities,and close to Williamsburg, and the condo is large and well equipped. I would not hesitate to return.
