Walk, bike, or drive one mile to ferry slip, general store, café and ice cream shop. Nine hole Geoffrey Comish designed golf course open to the public. Five minute ferry ride back to mainland (see Frye Island town website for schedule), where you will find shopping, restaurants, antiquing, mini golf, guided boat tours and other entertainment. The cities of Portland and Freeport (home of LL Bean) are 45 minutes away.
Frye Island is an island community situated on 900 acres and consisting of over 400 vacation homes. It is located in the heart of beautiful Sebago Lake, a huge, pristine lake with over 45 square miles of boating and fishing. Our family has been coming to Frye Island for many years. We all agree this is our favorite of anywhere we have stayed. "Love this place" was a constant refrain. We appreciate your sharing our beautiful home. We would love to return!

My husband and I wanted to say 'thank you' to you and Jim for sharing your beautiful home with us! I must say it is one of the most beautiful homes on the island from what we saw. We certainly did make the most of the sit out area while we were there and enjoyed the cool breeze before we got back to sunny Arizona. Thanks once again for sharing your home with us!

Your home was absolutely beautiful. It was so warm and cozy. We have been renting on the island for over 30 years and your home was by far the nicest we have ever stayed in. Frye Island holds a very special place in our hearts. We had a wonderful wonderful time.

Your spacious and welcoming home was the source of many happy get- togethers during the week we were there. We, of all our friends on Frye Island that week, had, by far the best accommodations! We used the puzzles, games, internet, satellite, children's toys, beach accessories and washer and dryer regularly. Our house in RI has much of the same colors and atmosphere as your lovely vacation home, so we really felt at home there, as I am certain all of your guests do.

What can we say? The island, the people we met, the lake, the house - it was truly a perfect vacation. We found ourselves at the lake everyday, often till sunset. We enjoyed meals as a family out on the porch (a rarity in our 'real life' of hectic schedules) and a rousing game of scrabble. We have fallen in love with this island and will certainly be back. We thank you enormously for opening your house to our family; this was truly a home away from home.

This is our 16th year at Frye Island with the entire family -- all 26 of us!! We are up to four houses now. We four were here and enjoyed your lovely home. The weather has been perfect. Today, Friday we had one of Frye Island's dramatic thunderstorms, complete with hail.
