Absaroka Guest House is situated in an 1890s historical building that was award-winning for its distinguished preservation and contemporary appeal. Recently acquired through Sotheby's, this classic place is now a luxurious and comfortable vacation rental, making it a special destination for your stay in Montana. Situated two blocks from the heart of historic downtown, Absaroka Guest House is one of a kind in this area, and truly one of the finest places for lodging in Livingston.
Draws of the area - Yellowstone Park and the Yellowstone River, Paradise Valley, mountain trails and ski slopes - Bridger Bowl Ski Area is just up the road. At the Absaroka Guest House, you will also have the convenience and fun of downtown just around the corner. Walk to the Murray Hotel for dinner, cater meals in, stroll to art galleries and antique shops, or walk five blocks to Sacajawea Park and the Yellowstone River. You can have town, privacy and the mountainous west all at once.
Absaroka Guest House is an ideal rental for a couple, a family or a group of friends visiting for a fishing trip, Yellowstone Park expedition, special event, or just to spend time in the west.
There are two stories with hardwood floors throughout. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms (one with jetted tub) are upstairs. There is a pull-out couch and half-bath on the main floor, and a parker sofa in the wine room den. The kitchen and living/dining room on the main floor are spacious and light. Stainless steel appliances and a full butcher block counter are in line with the fine touches of the place. The basement has the feel of an original wine room, complete with original stone walls and an antique table for dining or late night poker. There is a collection of books, including area guidebooks, novels, classics and nonfiction. There are also games and a flat screen t.v. with cable and DVDs.
Just a couple blocks from coffee shops, dining, antiquing and shopping, the location provides a blend of mountain get-away and the amenities of an historic railroad town. Gateway to Paradise Valley and Yellowstone Park, Livingston is also in the immediate vicinity of Bridger Ski Area, Bozeman, the Yellowstone River, fishing, hunting, and many other "must-do's" and "must-see's" of Montana.

This is a beautiful and unique place to stay. One of a kind. It is brand new as a vacation rental, and just recently restored with classic historic sensibility. Be one of the first to stay, and then one of the first to add comments! Sincerely, Katherine Dayton (owner)
