Great location, very well kept house, perfect situation

This house is really nice, and compared with others in the neighborhood it's great! The pool was clean, the hot tub was an awesome surprise, the rooms kept clean and bathrooms as well, and the private beach is awesome! The transaction was really easy and the house is in a great location, close to town but not right on top of town. The maid was great.

3 of us couples stayed at the villa flamingo. it was a great time danny the driver was great. i would highly recommend him because driving is crazy over there. he took us on tours and showed us places to go. he even took the ladies shoppping one day at the local shops and helped with the language barrier. the rest of the staff was also nice sarah kept things clean and the pool and beach man kept it cleaned as well. security was visible all the time. frank was very accomandating on setting up our vacation dan and family from iowa

This is an awesome house right on the beach. Frantz, one of the security guards, if very friendly and personable. Had a fabulous honeymoon and would recommend this house!!

Villa Flamingo exceeded our expectations. It was our first trip to the Dominican Republic and we could not have picked a better place. The staff was incredible and made our stay even more memorable. Definitely have Danny drive you where you need to go, he's the best. Sara was incredible as far as keeping the house clean for us and Franz makes was especially friendly when we were outside at night. The best thing about staying at the villa was that you had the entire beach to yourself and its away from all the touristy areas. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone, it is truly a gem

This was our first visit to the Dominican Republic and I cant believe how lucky we were to stay at Villa Flamingo. We found it through the internet and didn't know what to expect, but let me say that it far exceeded our expectations. The house was beautiful and the infinity pool and being right on the beach made it an incredible experience. The best thing about Villa Flamingo is that is was like having the entire beach to yourself. It was the most relaxing vacation we have had. We used Danny as our driver the entire week and I would highly recommend him for anything that you need to do. We was extremely nice and looked out for us when we went to town, and recommended some great local places to eat. Sara was wonderful looking out for us in the house and Franz was especially pleasant to talk to at night when we were out by the pool at the beach. We did go on a few excursions, horseback riding, Blue Lagoon, Playa Grande, etc, but we spent most of our time at the villa. It's so nice, you don't have a reason to go anywhere else. We will definitely be back to Villa Flamingo on our next trip to Dominica, there is no other place we would rather stay, it truly is a gem.

Frank, We had an amazing time on our trip. Danny was incredible, he made it easy going to town, the store, and a day excursion to several places. I cant say enough about how pleasant he was and how much we enjoyed his company. Sara and Franz were also very crucial in making our stay enjoyable. I will say that we are completely sold on Villa Flamingo and it is the only place we will stay on return visits to the Dominican. The house and location exceed our expectations, even more so because we found it online and really did not know what to expect. I feel very fortunate that we found Villa Flamingo.

2nd Honeymoon

We stayed at Villa Flamingo for our 2nd honeymoon and it was amazing! The view from our bedroom was spectacular. The large windows faced the ocean and we were greeted by the rising sun each morning. We had morning coffee on our private patio, and evenings were spent in the roof-top hot tub under the stars. Every meal was a work of art prepared by the chef, sometimes almost too beautiful to eat. The Villa provided every possible convenience and luxury, even a special blender to make delightful Margaritas! Although the Villa had a great beach for surfing and para sailing, there was also the option of the beach in Cabarete with it's diverse collection of shops, and eateries, great for a family visit. Sosua was jumpin' for night life, and La Bocca was outstanding for its ecological beauty. Close by there was Monkey Jungle, a zip-line and wildlife adventure, and also Ocean World, a great place to have a swim with a dolphin. From relaxation to adrenaline rush, this second honeymoon at Villa Flamingo was an adventure!

Villa was fantastic - especially the pool! The Staff were all very kind and professional. Danny was the man! He took great care of us. Carlito the chef was fantastic - food was excellent. Only downside was the beach - surf was very rough and not good for swimming.

I agree that the waves sometimes make swimming not such a good idea unless you are a strong swimmer. Many of our guests hope for the waves so they can surf right in front of Villa Flamingo. Great staff, house and privacy

My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay a week at the Villa in June. Danny (driver and all-around helpful neighbor) picked us up, stopped by the grocery and helped us settle in. He speaks perfect English and was a great help during our stay. All of the staff were friendly and hard working. We spent most days reading on the hanging bed, swimming in the pool and drinking on the rooftop hot tub as the evening cooled down. We rode horses, ate at Martini's and walked to Cabarete also. We had lots of privacy but always felt safe. I'd definately return to Villa Flamingo on future trips.

A fabulous house on the beach. My family and I spent a week here and had a marvelous time. Danny is wonderful. The entire staff was so nice and accommodating to us. Great beach - but don't try to walk into town - have Danny drive you. Must visit Martinis 10 minutes down the beach. Great vacation place.

Villa Flamingo was the greatest - from Sarah (maid) to all people who worked there. The manager, Danny was wonderful, was at our fingertips at all times. He took us on a day trip that was really fun. The Villa has everything you could want and more, very clean, well kept, exactly like the pictures. You must go to Martini's, right down the beach - good food and happy hours everyday. Visit the crabs on the beach, watch the waves, find sand dollars, what more could anyone want for a vacation? Take the short drive in to town, that is a must--plenty of shops, food and drinks. We were celebrating my nephews graduation from high school and he loved every minute. We want to go back again soon.

Villa Flamingo is a Fantastic Experience!

I'm a 62 year old widow, & took my son, D.I.L. & 6 year old granddaughter here for 8 days. I usually sit on the sidelines ( bad hip) & watch my family have fun, not here! I had as much fun as they did this time because of all the kind people helping! They even got me on a horse! We had a ball, our pictures are on the website now. Down the beach, through the groves, eating lobster, fish, prawns, chicken, & veggies at a beachside hut, talk about some good food! The driver, Danny, was so informative about the people & the place, & he took us everywhere, the famous Blue Lagoon, & lunch on the beach, & to a huge waterfall, which of course my son had to climb, & we paid the young boys to dive from the top. Danny took us into town for dinners & shopping, & an island farm to see all the plants, taste real "raw" chocolate, he was always cutting coconuts for us to munch on, then my son had to get in with the crocodile there! But, don't do that! Danny was like one of my kids before the week was over, he is the best tour guide we've ever had, & I've had them all over the world, & bilingual! Sara, the maid, was charming & helped with everything, & the place was SO clean, usually they leave your things where you put them, but she would fold, hang up, or wash for us, she even lined up all my toiletries..I need her here! The pool/maintenance man, & guards were so friendly also, Franze was fun to talk to! He is very proud of his job & let's you know he's taking care of all at night! I just can't say enough about the Villa, from the hot tub on the roof, talk about an evening cocktail up there with that view, & the sound of the waves, to the lovely pool, so many steps on sides, the swim up bar, my granddaughter (see her on here) loved the "stools" in the pool. The extras outside, from the big picnic table, to the gazebo, to the other gazebo with the big hanging bed, to the private decks outside & the showers, it was just so beautiful to sit out there. In town, after dark, on the beach, is one restaurant after another, with music filling the air & the sound of the waves on the beach, & all the colorfull lanterns, twinkling with lights, it simply had an ambiance that most beach front towns don't have. And good food, BUT, the best was the private chef, Catalino, awesome, buying the food & him preparing 3 meals a day is a must do! So Frank, thank you for sharing this paradise, you care, & it shows! Frank, We had the most amazing time. Danny and Sara were great!! The whole staff made us feel comfortable and safe...which was important to us since we had the kids with us! We had Catalino cook for us most days...he was outstanding! We really can't say enough about all the staff. My kids had such a great experience and adored staff. We really had a great time and will highly reccomend your this trip to any friends or family for the future. If you ever need us to give you a reccomendation let me know. My wife and I, along with another couple, stayed at Villa Flamingo in January 2012. We enjoyed a very relaxing vacation. Frank greeted us the first evening, and kept in touch during our stay, to ensure everything was just right. Of all our stays in various countries, nothing beats Villa Flamingo's rooftop hot tub. It was incredible! We took a couple trips to Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo. Zip lining at Monkey Jungle was a great time as well. Be sure to grab lunch at La Boca Grill. It's very rustic, but they provide an outstanding meal. On days that we stayed around the villa, having a cook for all three meals was absolutely wonderful. On days we dined out, downtown Cabarete had plenty of very nice restaurants on the beach. Typically when we travel to other countries, we rent a car and explore on our own. This time, we decided to utilize the serves of Danny to be our driver for the week. I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed having Danny as our driver. His customer service is second to none, and he is truly a great person. The four of us are self-admittedly pretty high maintenance, and Danny handled us well. Getting to know him, and having his experience along on our excursions really made the trip. Beachside bonfires in front of the villa were somewhat surreal. The security staff were eager to help gather wood, and start the fire for us. Be sure to treat them for their help. There's nothing like sitting by a warm fire along the beach with the ocean breeze blowing. We spoke mostly to the one security guard named France. Take the time and have a conversation with him. He has broken english, but you will find his overall spirit and outlook on life to be refreshing. Sarah kept the villa spotless and our dishes and clothes clean. I strongly recommend Villa Flamingo, and look forward to one day returning to soak in that hot tub, and continue the friendships we made. Fabulous way to celebrate my 40th!

we had an absolutely amazing time at villa flamingo!! 8 of my girlfriends all met up there to celebrate my 40th birthday and it exceeded all of our expectations! the chef team, catalino and sarah, were wonderful and we used their services pretty much everyday for amazing, delicious meals. 100 bucks a day plus groceries, is a steal. the food was divine!! sarah, the cleaning lady, was so helpful and wonderful as well. the dvd player wasn't working but danny, the house manager, quickly came over and got someone in to fix it. danny, the house manager, was also very friendly and helpful at all times. all the friendly locals added to the wonderful dominican flavor and charm all around us. while we were doing yoga outside on the deck, a herd of cows walked by - truly a treat! we never felt unsafe for a moment, except that is when we stupidly forgot to be mindful while in the ocean. i had been doing laps close to shore with a friend for a while and was quite safe but then we got careless and weren't paying attention. frank, you were right to warn us and we almost got swept out to sea. luckily it all worked out okay and we are here to talk about it and plan our next trip back!

The weather is 75, sunny with a nice breeze. I am glad to hear that you recovered well from the ocean incident. That happened to me also. Now, I stick to the pool or go to Sosua, Cabarete, Playa Grande, Playa Calleton or Playa Diamonte. The water is much calmer there. I'll check on the cd player and it's condition. Did you see the iPod players? There are two of them. We did have the 2 airbeds in the laundry area ready to set up. This was our 3rd trip to the villa it has undergone many changes the Auror has been lost.

Owner response: We are sorry that you did not have a 5 star experience as we strive for with all of our guests. I did have the pleasure of meeting you personally during your stay at Villa Flamigo. Due to the extensive renovations and improvements at Villa Flamingo, the dining table was moved to a different room in Villa Flamingo. You explained to me that during your previous stays your preference with the table in the old spot next to the front window by the beach. The next day, we moved the dining table to the old location by the window to provide you with your preferred dining area. The table is not really suited to that spot any longer, but, in the interest of customer satisfaction, we moved it as we attempt to satisfy all of our guests' requests. After that, every day, I asked if there was anything that was needed or could use improvement with the villa. I know on the first day, the one shower head needed a repair and was corrected within 30 minutes of the occurence of the problem. This is due to a full time maintenance staff person that was never available during your previous stays and is now a permanent asset to insure our guests'comfort. Other than this incident, and despite my daily brief check-ins, nothing else was ever mentioned as being in need of repair or improvement. The villa is virtually the same; still pink and on the beach, but with a brand new livingroom and furniture, new flat screen tv, new 4th bedroom, super automatic espresso machine, solar landscape lights, 3 pitcher Margharitaville machine, landscape sculptures, new outdoor picnic table, new outdoor sail shade, new gas grill, karaoke system, blu ray player, multitude of new palms in every room, two additional ceiling fans in living area, new belgian waffle maker and a keyless front door access system. We have owned and manged Villa Leone next door and also listed on VRBO for the past 7 years with very good results and reviews. We are committed to operating our new sister Villa, Villa Flamingo,right next door, with the same enthusiasm and pride. We realize that we can not be everything to everyone, although we do try! Dear Frank! I´m so proud of the New Name of the Villa, sound really nice! =) It was an excellent experience for us to meet you and have the privilege of stay in your villa. The views from the pool and the rooftop are AMAZING… we had a really nice party on the beach and a lot of karaoke nights! and days also!… We had the best service of all the staff! The meals from the Chef; the massages were relaxing and the pedicure service was great! You´re an excellent host!! Thanks for everything; it was an unforgettable experience!... Eliana
