This is the Grand Desert Resort, one of the most luxurious resorts owned by Wyndham (formerly Fairfield). The resort is just blocks from the strip near the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. A resort shuttle goes to the strip approximately every 30 minutes until 11:30pm . NO CAR NEEDED! It takes 5 minutes on the shuttle to the strip. The resort itself is gorgeous. See the pictures.
The unit is beautiful, 5 star luxury hotel quality, but larger with a full kitchen. There are three beautiful pools, 3 hot tubs, multiple patios, outdoor games, a masseuse, exercise equipment, a deli on site, game room, videos, etc. There are even supervised activities for kids, and a concierge.

We rented the two bedroom/two bath condo here. We checked in on Saturday and by the looks of the crowded lobby, we figured that our stay would not be as good as we hoped. However, we could not be more wrong. The condo was neat, clean, updated (pictures do not do it justice) and very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped, with everything from dishwashing liquid to baking dishes. There is an activities center where the kids can rent video games and movies, as well as play board games, ping pong, air hockey, and pool. Incidentally the resort was not crowded and noisy during our stay. This is a timeshare place so I guess most of the crowd from the first day was related to a timeshare presentation. We did get called everyday at 8 am for the timeshare breakfast invitation and this was only because I was declining, while my husband would tell them we would think about it. The guest services reps had great coupons we could use to get discounts on food and attractions on the strip. Although we did not have housekeeping services everyday during our stay, we could ask for clean sheets, towels, bathroom toiletries from the front desk as needed (that was nice). On the last day our dishwasher started leaking and the maintenance crew was on it immediately. There is a shuttle available from the resort to the strip but the last trip back to the hotel is at 10pm. We didn't use it because most of the hotels (if not all) have free parking. There is a CVS right around the corner and a grocery store within a short drive - super convenient. There is a 24hr nails salon, a foot massage place and hookah bar by the CVS which was also pretty nice. The owner, Jim, is a great communicator and really good at answering questions and getting back to you in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend renting this condo, esp if you have a large family, kids, and want to stay in a non-gaming family friendly resort not far from the strip.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed 5 nights at the Grand Desert with our two teenage daughters and were very pleased. Most importantly, Jim was great to work with and extremely responsive. Flawless execution from booking unit, making payment, checking-in to checking-out. Was able to call resort in advance to confirm reservation and request high floor unit in Tower 2 which is the main tower. Tower 1 is also convenient to the pools and fitness center. Would not want to stay in Tower 3 which was inconvenient to the family and adult pools. Grand Desert is halfway between Hard Rock Hotel (10 min walk) and the Strip (also about 10 min walk). Felt safe walking to and from the Strip at night. Also a convenient shuttle that drops off and picks up at Harrahs. Very clean and spacious unit. Highly recommend the Grand Desert for younger families with children or if you are looking for a quite nonsmoking place without a casino. If you want lots of action and a pool party atmosphere then this is not the place for you.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The resort is very safe, off the strip. Very nice customer service, everybody were very helpful and friendly. Jim (the owner) was very nice and helpfull as well, fast and great deal ! thank you Jim, was great to have business with you !Recommended for: Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I stayed two nights at the Wyndham in July and had a fine time. The rooms were as advertised and pictured. The owner, Jim, was easy to communicate with and I had a fast and smooth check-in. Though the Wyndham is off-strip, it's in a good location. The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is within easy walking distance so that was an added plus. I'd stay there again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Very Spacious and Very Accommodating. Perfect for large group of people with children and teenagers. We would stay here again. It has a shuttle service for the strip. The facilities has their own cafe for breakfast, lunch and etc. The facilities also has their own small store for quick necessities. Jim was very accomodating and very quick to response on your questions.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
