THE DAYTONA BEACH COTTAGE IS ASTOUNDING. WE STAYED FOR A WEEK AND DISCOVERED SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING EVERYDAY. IT'S LOCATION IS GREAT. THE KIDS AND ADULTS ENJOYED THE BIKE'S AND THE PLUNGE POOL. IT HAS EVERYTHING THAT YOU WOULD AT YOUR OWN HOME. WE HOPE TO VISIT AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

Daytona Cottage

Bicycle rides on the beach, sing a longs around the piano, soaks in the plunge pool and evening walks in the sand are among the many luxuries offered by this charming, "it feels like you're in Cape Cod" cottage. I loved that the house sits on a hill. However, my sister, who has mobility problems, found negotiating the steps difficult. If this is not a concern, I would highly recommend a visit. The Daytona Cottage is delightful and a wonderful place to come home to at the end of every vacation day.

My family stayed at the Daytona Beach Cottage from July10-16, 2010. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The cottage was very charming and cozy-it was very clean and well maintained. The beach was wonderful-the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. We loved Cow Licks and Down Under--also the Drive-In Christian Church was great. We spent a day at St Cloud visiting with family-a day touring St Augustine and collected sea shells at Ormond Beach. Congo River was fun for the kids also. We had New York Style pizza delivered--it was very good. This was a great location to come home to every evening. We would highly recommend this property and would love to come back sometime.

My time spent at the Daytona Beach Cottage was heaven. The house is perfectly equipped for a family, and would be heaven for a couple. I spent much of my time there relaxing at the home, although it was a quick hop across the street to the beach. The beds are amazing, and I think I got the best nights sleeps I've had in years while there. My son (and I) loved splashing in the pool in the back, and ended up grilling out almost every night! I will absolutely be back...

The Daytona Beach Cottage

We felt the warmth & ambiance of your lovely home from the first minute we entered it. The details of decoration are exceptional and we found it to be soothing and yet exciting. We ate most of our meals on the back porch and enjoyed grilling out. The grill was soooo easy to light and to use. We were there with our daughter and her 4-year-old son, who thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the pool. It was the perfect size for him to get safe swimming practice. The adults enjoyed it just as much as he did, but for different reasons;-) I've never stayed in a home that was better equipped for everyone's needs. I enjoyed the piano, the bicycles were inviting, and there were even sand and water toys waiting for our grandson. The laundry made us feel right at home, as did the wonderfully-stocked kitchen!!!! We felt that you really anticipated our stay as though we were long-lost-friends!!!! Daytona Beach is such a beautiful setting and we loved walking to the beach and spending long and relaxing stretches watching the ocean waves as well as people watching. How wonderful to be able to walk there, with it so close to the cottage!!!! Eating out was enjoyable, as well, with so many offerings in town. We played miniature golf at the Pirate's Cove, which was fragrant with jasmine blossoms and beautifully designed - not to mention extremely fun!!!!! We didn't make it to St. Augustine, which we heard was the end-all experience, being the oldest town in the Americas. Having been to Spain, I'm keenly looking forward to that convenient trip on our next visit to the cottage......and there will definitely be a 'next trip'. We left your cottage feeling like it was 'ours'. You made us feel so welcome!!!! Thanks for everything, Melody and Gary. Your home is remarkable.

Perfect Getaway

This cottage was perfect to relax and enjoy the quiet of beach life. The home itself provides a very cozy, yet casual sophistication that makes you feel at home, yet offers the special touches that makes it feel like a vacation. The decorations and furnishings were beautiful. The kitchen was large and roomy with modern appliances. We spent a lot of time on the porch, which is surrounded by a lovely garden. We used the BBQ grill almost every day and relaxed in the pool. The outside shower was a life saver after a day at the beach, only a half block away. We rode bikes to the nearby stores instead of taking the car. We would definitely recommend this property for couples or for families and look forward to returning this year.

From the second I walked into the house, I was instantly relaxed. The house was in fantastic condition, the location is ideal and I didn't even want to leave the house for the beach. It was so relaxing to spend time with the privacy of the backyard, read in the living room with the fireplace and curl up in one of the bedrooms. I highly recommend renting this property if you're lucky enough to find dates it's available. I can't wait to go back!

A charming bungalow just a block from the beach.

On a quiet street, this charming 1930's bungalow is a wonderful place to stay. It's only a block from the beach and a short bike ride away from all the bars, restaurants and other attractions. We've stayed in other vacation home rentals and they're usually just a place to sleep. This one feels like home. My husband and I enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave.
