The golfer may choose from not only the local golf course, but seven other courses within a 15-mile radius of Arizona City. Two casinos are 30 minutes away. During the winter months, several thousand winter visitors make Arizona City their preferred winter location. They have discovered that you can have both the very simple quiet life and/or be on the go seven days a week in major two cities with their shops, restaurants, concerts, theaters, museums, zoos, racetracks and other attractions.
Several state and national parks are within a day's travel including the Grand Canyon and the Saguaro National Forest. Mexico's Rocky Point beach resort is just down the road less than three hours drive, perfect for a weekend of margaritas, sun and sand. If you get homesick for some snow, Flagstaff is also within a day's drive with its ski area popular with many Arizonans.

Arizona City itself has its own small convenience grocery stores and restaurants, and a local Moose Lodge. However, the town of Casa Grande about eight miles away offers a wide variety of amenities (restaurants, shopping malls, chain stores, hospitals) that one would use for day-to-day needs. |
