This historic log home is ten minutes from the Broadmoor Hotel and 15 minutes to downtown Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City.
There are numerous day trips and natural monuments, which the Pikes Peak region is famous for.
The Inn is surrounded by trails for all ages and abilities whether you are strolling with children or cross-country skiing along the gentle Gold Camp Trail or hiking or mountain biking the various single track trails in Pike National Forest out the back door. Out the front door is the stunning city park of North Cheyenne Canon Park, which is a Mecca for local hikers and sightseers as well as a great place to ride either the road or mountain bike. There is a year-round stream on the property.
The home has been recently renovated to provide the best of the modern world while retaining the flavor and character of the past.
The original cabin, "Pat's Place," was built in the early 1900s as the family home at Camp Lavely. John Lavely homesteaded the entire canon as a vacation destination, building the original cabins. Pat, his oldest daughter was born and raised in the cabin.
This historic log home has a fully-equipped kitchen, a large living area with vaulted ceilings, a romantic fireplace or wood-burning stove, dining room, laundry, a private bedroom with a queen-size bed, and sleeping loft with twin beds.
In addition, the "Lavely Room" is a beautiful, separate, private suite adjacent to the main house with its own TV, stereo, sitting area, and queen-size bed.
Finally, the Inn offers the "Library Suite" with a private entrance, two sitting areas, a large, private loft with queen-size bed, a day bed, TV, stereo, and double shower.
