"The LAST RESORT" is one of Mentone's most unique rentals. We are located on the brow of Lookout Mountain, 5 miles south of the caution light in Mentone and 3 miles north of DeSoto State Park. All of our rentals have satellite TV, Wi-Fi internet access, individual gas grills, all linens, hair dryers,irons, coffee/sweeteners/creamer,and all utensils. And we DO ALLOW small dogs under 15lbs. So bring clothes and food and sit back and enjoy. All units share access to the large outdoor courtyard, complete with seating, pond, fountain and other water features.
We have three rental units available on our property. These units can be rented separately or as one large rental or a combination of rentals. So whether you need a romantic getaway for 2 people or a place for a large family gathering, THE LAST RESORT is the rental for you.

Individually, #1-the LODGE is the full house with 2 bedroom, 2 baths, which sleeps 4. With a king size bed in the master, 1 queen bedroom on main level. It features a fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils & supplies, wood burning stove, washer and dryer, two person indoor Jacuzzi tub, double-head tiled master shower,& central air/heat for $169/night
#2-The HIDEAWAY is a large queen suite with a separate bedroom that sleeps up to 4. It has a gas fireplace, a kitchenette with convection/microwave, small frig, gas grill, is suitable for making small meals. The separate bedroom features a full bed. It has one shower bath. The lights of the valley below can be enjoyed all night from the queen bedroom suite. Outdoor hot tub is shared with the Lodge guests on a private deck area for $109/weekend nights.
Both the LODGE and HIDEAWAY are located on the edge of the mountain brow and have a year round view of the valley and Sand Mountain and can be booked together as one large rental creating 4 bedrooms, 3 baths,2 living areas with TV's, 1 1/2 kitchens etc for $269/night.(Lodge has a double sleeper sofa and we can provide a cot or air mattress to accomodate 4-5 more guests.)
OR if you need 5 bedrooms add the Lovenest too to accomodate 14 guests/$369/night.
#3-The LOVENEST is at the top of the drive, about 100 feet from the main house.It has plenty of privacy and is romantically decorated for your honeymoon, anniversary or romantic getaway. It is one bedroom, with gas fireplace, clawfoot tub,& separate shower, full kitchen, and movies for your romantic pleasure. You can enjoy a winter view from the private hot tub on your deck. More deck space for grilling and enjoyment or stroll to the courtyard for larger entertainment, or charcoal grilling for $119/weekend nights.
We are located of I-59 exit #231. Follow Hwy 117 south (follow Desoto State Park signs)to top of the mountain and the only caution light in downtown Mentone, turn onto Co. Rd. 89 South. Drive (through 4-way stop) about 5 miles till you see our lighted sign on the right.
