Why the Owner Chose Cripple Creek

I chose to buy this home because of its exquisite setting atop a mountain with 360 degree views on 8.59 acres. I also love that it is solid log, well designed and a great "canvas" for decorating. I also love that it is only 3.5 miles from conveniences yet remote and private. Finally, I love that it is surrounded by pine and aspen and a great place for my dogs to run freely.

The Unique Benefits of this Log Home

The unique benefits of this property is the privacy, unsurpassed beauty, and proximity to attractions, scenic byways, protected areas and conveniences.

    • We enjoyed a great week at the cabin in the winter ... The setting and view are strikingly beautiful and the cabin itself is filled with light, not to mention a convenient wrap-around porch. The property is off the beaten path, but not too remote: there is plenty to do in the area. The owner was easy to work with: straightforward about procedures, helpful and responsive to questions, and conscientious about maintenance. She has furnished the cabin generously and tastefully, complete with WiFi and big screen satellite TV ... I don’t know what more anybody could ask for!

    • We had a great Thanksgiving at the cabin. We enjoyed playing board games, watching football, taking walks on the beautiful property, and resting. The cabin was perfect for the six of us. We would definitely stay again.

    • Your beautiful house provided the perfect venue for our family reunion, held in early August 2007. Eight of our family were immensely comfortable as full-time guests during that week. Our entire gathering of 20+ guests thoroughly enjoyed the roomy layout (we were able to provide for three distinct conversation/seating areas where adolescents, young adults and then us middle-aged folks all had "our space", yet easily mingled with all other guests. Your house was delightful, reasonably priced, and provided a memorable and beautiful high country setting for what proved to be a very successful family reunion. Thanks so much!

    • I have had the pleasure to stay in this cabin a number of times! It is a wonderful mix of cozy yet it has plenty of room to spread out. The view of Pike's Peak is amazing and the wrap around deck is a fabulous place to drink coffee and/or bbq or play cards like we do! It is one of mine and my friends favorite places to "get away". Every season is gorgeous up there! I would live there year round if I could. Regards, Amy Archer
