View of 2 wings of the house, spacious two level deck and large 8 person hot tub
Location: Squaw Valley (Olympic Valley), Lake Tahoe North Shore CA, Lake Tahoe California, California, USA (1 hour from Reno, 6 miles to Lake Tahoe, 10 miles to Truckee)
Accommodations: House, 3 Bedrooms + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 2 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)
Keywords: Mountain Retreat Home
Designed by well known Squaw Valley Architect, Dave Tucker, this single level house is warm and inviting, offering peace and serenity just one mile from the lifts of Squaw Valley USA. The 14 foot high floor to ceiling windows on two sides fill the home with light and a grand feeling of connection to the outdoors. Privately nestled in the trees next to the creek, enjoy watching the snow fall outside of the tall glass windows. Curl up on the day beds overlooking the creek while a fire crackles in the volcanic rock fireplace. Slip into the eight person deluxe outdoor hot tub to unwind and relax while you listen to the babbling brook. Snow shoe or cross country ski in the meadow across the street.
In spring, summer or fall walk out onto the large deck for afternoon BBQ's or a nap in the hammock. Climb on the granite boulders in the creek (or the one that comes through the deck). Enjoy lots of flat grassy area for kids to play. The house is located on a flat cul de sac offering easy access during winter and an ideal playground for kids in summer.
Squaw Valley USA, site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, is a fabulous ski resort offering a broad range of terrain. We have skied all over the Lake Tahoe area and it is by far our favorite mountain. The Village at Squaw Valley has cobblestone pedestrian walks and hosts numerous restaurants and shops. There is a shuttle that takes skiers to and from the mountain and it stops just four houses down the street.
There are two bedrooms with king beds and a bunkroom that will accommodate up to six people. In addition, there are two day beds and a pullout couch in the living room. This house is ideal for one or two families with children and is sure to leave you with amazing memories of a fabulous vacation in the mountains!

This was my second trip staying in this home and it won't be the last! From the magical creekside setting to the comfortable beds not to mention the convenience to everything, I only wish our stay was longer. Thank you for providing everything a home needs in such a beautiful spot. I will gladly pass this little gem on to friends and family!

This place was just what were looking for. Nestled among the pines and by a creek, it was spacious enough to accommodate us comfortably (4 adults and 4 kids), but still very cozy. It has lots of thoughtful touches that make it a delightful place to hang out. We also love how it is conveniently located to a whole bunch of fun Tahoe activities and amenities--our group had diverse interests and no one was dissatisfied. We definitely would rent it again and recommend it highly.

We had a great reunion at this house. The light streams through fantastic windows truly bringing the majestic outside into the well equiped kitchen and great room. There is a nice use of space here that allows for quiet separated bedrooms. It is woodsy and tasteful with nice attention to detail.

Great house! Very warm and comfortable. The surroundings were so beautiful. I loved the location– so close to hiking, the lake, river, shopping, etc. Waking up to a cool breeze with the sounds of water splashing on the rocks was amazing!

My family and I had a great weekend of spring skiing at the Tull cabin. The location is so convenient, only 2 minute drive from the Squaw Valley lifts (and only a few miles to other ski resorts and Tahoe City). It was also an easy drive from the Bay Area. My kids loved all the games and animals and bunk beds are always a bonus! Next time we come up it will be with friends and lots more kids since the house can easily hold 2 families with kids. Can't wait!! Thank you.

Please send more pictures to me. My parents, Forrest and Robin Williams, built this house in the 60s with Dave Tucker as their architect. Spent many wonderful summers/winters up there as a child and would love to show my children. Thank you very much.

This house is wonderful! The photos don't do it justice and from the outside it looks ordinary. But on the inside, it is quintessential Tahoe charm - cozy, beautifully appointed with floor to ceiling windows on two sides of the house that overlook the creek and surrounding forest. Everything has been updated and the location can't be beat for either summer or winter. The outdoor hot tub is a bonus. We were recently "stuck" there over the January storm and couldn't have been happier!
