This authentic, rustic, post and beam cabin is located on a southern point of 11 mile long Toddy Pond outside of Blue Hill. Tucked in the woods, surrounded by 4 acres of pine and white birch trees, this private cabin is ideal for nature lovers who enjoy outdoor activities and who would like to explore the entire Blue Hill Peninsula, Mt. Desert Island, and Acadia National Park. The 4 bedrooms, 3 baths (plus an outside shower), eat-in kitchen, large living room, screened porch, and three outside decks comfortably accommodate 8 people. Cabin layout is ideal for two families.
Relax while enjoying the water view from every room in the cabin or while watching the sun rise or sun set from the large pier off the 600' of water frontage. Enjoy swimming, fishing, and boating on pristine Toddy Pond; get some exercise and scout for moose by hiking through the woods; or just sit and listen to the loons and watch the bald eagles and osprey soaring over the Pond. What a glorious place. We all just loved it. Started our week with a trip to Acadia and a visit to Jordon Pond House for the best popovers and tea. We hiked, walked on the beach, climbed the rocks. Truly beautiful. We also visited Deer Island, art galleries, Haystack (not to miss). We kayaked to the island across Toddy Pond for a picnic, went to see the beaver dam, picked lots of blueberries, learned how to cook 'live' lobsters, gazed at the most beautiful stars. Loved the outdoor shower. Don't want to leave. Hopefully next year we can stay longer. Thanks for your hospitality and for making your home such a relaxing and comforting house for our vacation.
