The first floor features 2 stone fireplaces, one located in the dining room, and the other in the great room{ 46 inch TV -room seats 8-10adults comfortably!} Both the dining room and the great room are very spacious with vaulted ceilings ideal for large family gatherings. Downstairs features a fully loaded open kitchen w/ bar that seats 4, and a dining room table that seats up to 10. There are 2 master bedrooms downstairs (2 Kings), and a 3rd bedroom with a twin bed, and full/twin bunk. Upstairs features one Queen bedroom with twin bunks, 1 full bath and a large loft with a TV area and an office/puzzle/game playing area ideal for children or adults.
You can create your own home-cooked meals in our fully equipped kitchen (we love to cook, we know what you need in a kitchen for great meals) or enjoy eating out at your choice of fine restaurants of all kinds on top of the mountain or in the valley.

Resort Golf Amenities: Includes one 18 hole course at the top of the Mountain, one 18 hole course and one 9 hole course at Stoney Point, bottom of the mountain.
Monacan Lake: Monacan Lake is about 15 minutes from the house is available to the public for a small fee. They have fishing, canoeing, kayaking, water trampolines and toys, Friday night movies, horshoes, beach volleyball, lifejackets, grilling and picnic areas. Our family really enjoyed staying in this home. It is very comfortable and clean. Our children (10 and 13 years old) had a good time picking out their favorite room to stay in. The layout is awesome and would be a great place for several families to stay together. Confirm with the owners, but I think it may sleep more than the # stated in the description. Although there are great restaurants in the area, we cooked all of our meals and appreciated the fact that the kitchen has all of the utensils, appliances and pots and pans that you need. We brought our Wi system and easily hooked it up to the tv in the loft. Our children are already asking if we can come back this winter and stay in this house again. Thanks for a great couple of days!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This property has breathtaking mountain views and is very conveniently located near a small market, the ski slopes and other amenities. This home is generously furnsihed with extras --dishes, pots & pans, utensils and even a few small tools which came in handy. There was an ample supply of firewood and the fireplace works great and doesn't smoke. Don't worry about the access roads to this mountaintop aerie; they were kept open constantly by snow plows. Here's what we liked most: Bedrooms were sufficiently segregated to provide privacy when desired, but the spacious adjoining dining area and great room provided comfortable group gathering space without feeling crowded. A genuine apline experience enjoyed by all whose ages ranged from 9 to 73.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Our family had a great time! Beautiful views, great hiking and activities (golf, fishing). We couldn't get the kids to come in but they sure slept well after we finally did. Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Mark and I purchased Black Rock 19 in the Summer of 07. We fell in love with this property because it is very spacious, well lit, has 2 fireplaces, 2 living areas (which is essential when our kids are in the house), and is on a great lot. This house stood miles above the many others we looked at during our house search in Wintergreen. We have lived in Richmond, Virginia since we met in Law School in the late 80s. Mark is orginally from Durham, NC and I am from Alexandria, Va. We are very proud of Black Rock 19 and have had so much fun renting it to so many wonderful families over the years.
