Welcome to "Huron Lake Getaway", the most relaxing & fun get-away cabin! Situated on 100+ ft. of crystal-clear Huron Lake beach frontage, this "house in the trees" provides all you need for a memorable vacation.
Huron Lake is a 40-acre no-wake, pristine, spring fed lake. The exceptional water quality of this deep lake, make it one of the best small recreation lakes in the area! It is perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, or just floating your cares away. Fish off our pier, swim off our raft or beach, enjoy our "luxury" paddleboat, or just relax with a good book. Autumn is wonderful at Huron Lake Getaway too! Enjoy the beautiful leaves changing color, picturesque fall bike riding adventures, walking/hiking, farmers markets and pumpkin farms, antiquing, hunting, fishing and coming back "home" to the firepit or the cozy wood burning fireplace! When the snow falls, enjoy cross-country skiing or downhill at nearby Mt. Morris/Nordic Mountain!
Huron Lake is in Waushara county in central WI. It is far enough to have that "up north" feel, yet convenient and close enough to not have to drive forever to get here! We are a hidden gem located down a serene country road (remember to bring your bikes!). It is a remote country area. Yet this quiet lake is only 22 short miles to the "action" of Waupaca Chain 'O Lakes and only 12 miles from the town of Wautoma. In these towns, you will find plenty of restaurants, golfing, shopping and other fun things to do.
The lake cottage is clean & comfortable. It is not fancy or fussy--it is a simple cabin getaway place. The large attached screen porch is ideal for drinking your morning coffee, playing a game of foos ball or meeting for happy hour. Walk off the screen porch onto a large deck, spanning the entire length of the back of the house, which overlooks the lake and the beautiful wooded "back" yard. Sixty-seven wooden steps from the deck guide you down to the lake and there is a bench 1/2 way down to stop a spell & enjoy the view!
Finally, enjoy a wonderful campfire at night to eat smores and watch the most unbelievable starry sky! We know you will have a memorable time at Huron Lake Getaway!!
