The recreation center a block away has lighted tennis courts, Olympic-size pool, large auditorium, and many other activities for guests. Your Green Valley Recreation pass, available for a one-time fee, provides entrance to more than 12 recreation centers, most with a fitness center, and allows participation in special lectures, clubs, special trips, aqua aerobics, and, for a fee, a selection of about 150 classes such as pottery, wood working, Pilates, cards, ceramics, cooking, dance lessons, health and fitness, painting/drawing, and swimnastics.
Golf is available at more than five public and two private golf courses. Exceptional birding and world-renowned observatories are nearby. The computer with high-speed access allows you to keep in touch with snow-bound friends who did not come south.
This is an age-restricted community. At least one resident must be 55 or older.
Tucson, the Desert Museum, Tubac, and Madera Canyon are 20 to 40 minutes away. The Titan Missile site and San Xavier Mission are about ten minutes away.
