  We have stayed in VRBOs in Paris on five different occasions and this one was the best. The other reviews, description and photos are dead on. To summarize, this unit had the combination of things we were looking for: amazing location, safe area, enough space for our family, close to public transport etc. It will be memorable for its fun loft with views of the city (and Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower) through skylights and for making us feel like we were really living in Paris. As others have commented, the stairs are are a little narrow and steep which wasn't a problem for us but might be for some.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We stayed at this charming flat with my in-laws to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. The flat had all of the amenities we could have asked for, including very detailed instructions and maps for the area. It was a one block walk to the metro, three blocks to a great bakery and supermarket, four blocks to the express bus to the airport and minutes away from delicious, non-touristy restaurants. The owner was really fantastic, very accommodating. We would absolutely stay there again without hesitation. It was a wonderful, truly Parisienne experience. Each night, I would pop my head through the skylight in the bedroom and watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle on the hour.

  My apologies for not sending my review sooner. My husband and I and one other couple decided to rent this loft for our first trip to Paris. We had a wonderful 2 week vacation and could not have asked for anything else in our accommodation choice. Phlippe was helpful throughout the process, helping us make some decisions on day trips and answering all our questions. When we finally met Philippe, we felt as though we had a new "ami". The loft has everything you need to feel at home. Everything has been thought of - instructions on how to use everything, decor, cleanliness, supplies etc. The location is absolutely fantastic!!!!! We have all told others about our wonderful loft when talking about our Paris experience. I hope to visit Paris again and would not look for any other accommodations. Merci Philippe for sharing your loft with us - hope to see you soon!

  I loved this apartment for our family (Mum, Dad, two daughters 17 & 20). Firstly, the position is great; the entrance was 40 meters from the CDG E'toile station, close to the Arc de Tromphe and one street away from the Champs Ellyses. In spite of this, it's still very quiet. The apartment itself is very good, with a lot of thought given to what is included. Everything we needed was there, from a fully equipped kitchen (with ample crockery, glassware and cutlery) to an eating space, large TV with a comprehensive collection of DVDs and imaginative lights. We were there in early January and the apartment was always cosy with the heating being very efficient. The sleeping areas are upstairs in a loft, and once you get used to ducking your head, you really can see the top third of the Eiffel Tower through the skylights/windows which have been installed. The owner, Philippe, was very helpful, meeting us at the apartment at the agreed time (actually we were 30 minutes late due to train delays and he was waiting patiently when we finally arrived) and returning our deposit at the agreed time. The only small reservation I'd have is that this apartment may not be suitable to people who might have trouble with the steep, narrow stairs leading to the loft (seniors perhaps, or small children may find them difficult), but for us it was a great apartment and I'd be happy to return there again.

  Started with this apartment. The location is great. The space is modern, clean, cozy and has wonderful personal touches. The apartment is quiet and very well taken care of. We stayed a week in Nov 2012. The neighborhood felt very safe, A very short walk into the surrounding streets and you can find high-fashion, regular shops, lots of restaurants/services and the Metro station. Walking out onto the street and seeing the Arc de Triomphe upon you was a magnificent site that we never tired of. A couple of other points: - 110/120v: Yes! There is a power bar in the main living room. Three USA outlets that are very important for any American with a bunch of computer devices. - Bedrooms: There is a main bed which I think feels more like a King Size bed. The second bedroom might be a Queen but might have been a Full Size. It’s a nice space regardless and you can easily get a couple of people in there. Our 15 year old stayed here. The last bedroom lies right behind and it’s small but stylish. Twin size. Our 9 year old daughter took this one and loved it. It was ‘her place’ and she was quite proud of it. Now, I’m 6’4 and weigh more than I should. The upstairs, while short on height, really wasn’t a problem at all. The bed was great, the three skylights give awesome views and I never felt cramped or crowded up there. - Steps: The building is 6 stories and the apartment is on the top floor. As mentioned in other reviews, the elevator goes to the 4th floor, then you have to use steps for the final two floors. It’s minor but if you have trouble with stairs you should consider this. You will also have to use a small staircase within the apartment to reach the bedrooms. - Movies/Music/Television/Internet Access: Movies in French and English, CDs, A very nice TV w/cable. Wi-Fi was excellent. There is also a Mac PC with a printer upstairs. Easy to use and came in handy a couple of times. - Smoke Detector: Yes - Documentation: Know how to work the washer/dryer all-in-one unit? Neither did we. Well there are simple, picture based, instructions for all the necessary items/appliances. One of those nice touches. - Kitchen: Fully furnished and the wife enjoyed it. I’ll just finish by saying we LOVE this place. The pictures offered are spot on. The owner is very nice, easy to work with and offers rapid communication. We recommend this place highly and, should we return to Paris, would first look to take this place once again.

  We stayed at this appartment for our short vacation at Paris. Since this appartment is situated in center of Paris, it provides excellent transport access. The appartment is very clean, beautifully decorated, confortable linens, very charming upstair loft, incredibly quiet, sunlight from every 3 large windows and 3 roof rear windows. This appartment also provides almost everything we traveller need such as WIFI, DVD palyer+huge selection of DVDs, local free call, cable TV, well equipped kitchen...our kids still talk about the gorgious night view of Eiffel tower through roof rear window(they actually cried when they found out our departure). We especially appreciate for the Owner, Philippe's personallity. He has been extremely helpful and sincere during our stays and even untill the moment of refund our deposit. We absolutely recomend this appartment to everybody who thinking to stay at Paris!!!!

  This was a girlfriend trip and we stayed here for a week. Met Philippe upon arrival. He showed us around the flat which was well equipped with washer,dryer, microwave, coffee maker etc. Very secure location and the metro stop is two minutes away. Great chocolate shop practically next door. Stairs to the loft may be a bit tricky for the elderly. All in all, a good experience. Philippe was a good host, and very prompt with answering emails.

  Our stay at 32 Av.de Friedland will be remembered as an agreeable one. The apartment was well-outfitted, tastefully decorated and assuredly cosmopolitan. Philippe was very helpful and his signage within the loft proved absolutely didactic. The Forsters

  Many thanks to Philippe. Incredibly organized and commnicative with superiorly detailed instructions. He met us exactly at the time stated and left us to enjoy the flat without interruption. The flat was very quiet, clean and the beds & linens were extremely comfortable. My husband and I both enjoyed the endless supply of hot water for the bath tub. One street over from Champs-Elysees and literally a stone's through from the Metro. Was able to walk to the start and finish of the 2012 Paris Marathon. It was a dream vacation. Small note: Stairs to bedrooms could prove tricky for older travelers or families with small children. Otherwise ideal.

  I just came back from Paris after one wonderful week of staying in Phillipe's beautiful apartment with my wife, 2 kids and my sister in-law. The location of the apartment was perfect and the motto location, location, location couldn't be more apt. It is just steps away from the Champs-Elysees and 1 minute walk from the Charles De Gaul - Etoile Metro/RER line which makes travelling so easy. We never had to take more than one change of Metro lines to CDG-Etoile and almost all of the places we wanted to go (Disneyland etc etc) was a direct line from CDG-Etoile. We came back from Disneyland Paris at Midnight and within 12:05 AM the kids were in bed sleeping. Phillipe is such a wonderful host. He was so helpful and his map of all the nice stores surrounding the apartment was a life saver. His "guide" on how to use all the utilities in the apartment was just brilliant. We had no problem using the dishwasher, the dryer and the washing machine. The apartment itself was so beautiful but just a note of caution, the top floor is a bit low so watch your head (we didn't have a problem because we are not tall). It does however add to the charm of the place as one of the guide mentioned in our Paris Walk tour, a lot of people converted the attic to be their bedroom and that's typical of the "Paris Pad" that everyone wants these days (and we get to stay in one ...) The elevator goes to the 3rd floor and you will have to go up 2 floors of stairs so be prepared for that. We only had difficulties when trying to bring down the luggage after one week of shopping but that is just 10 minutes of logistical planning that is no big deal. I have stayed in London and New York apartments and I have to say that bar none, this is the best apartment we have stayed. There is no doubt in my mind that if we were to come to Paris again, we will most definitely stay in Phillipe's apartment again. Maybe for 2 weeks this time :)
