Come to a relaxing mountain setting with a sweeping view across a peaceful meadow, just a short walk across the fields from the Trinity River. The riverfront property is at the end of a quiet country road, located just ten miles south of historic Gold Rush Town of Weaverville.
The Ranch is a great place to visit in all seasons of the year! Your family can enjoy time together, with each person choosing their own level of activity, whether it be fishing, boating, birdwatching, walking, gold-panning, or reading. A good spot from which to take trips to the nearby Trinity Alps, Lewiston or Trinity Lakes, or just stick close to the Ranch, the river, and the quiet. Mt. Shasta is to the northeast, Eureka on the coast and a beautiful road trip to the west, Mt. Lassen to the east. The town of Weaverville has some good restaurants, a museum & various historical gold mining sites.
The fishing is great, the peacefulness complete, and there's no traffic!

Had a lot of fun at this great cabin. Feels refreshing to get out of the stressful city. Goats were a nice surprise. I bet you could draw some more visitors if you had kayaking available here. (Kayak rentals are available at Indian Creek Lodge on Hwy 299) We loved tubing the river. Thanks!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The 4 of us all needed to refresh our bodies and souls and we found that here at the Arttus Ranch. The amazing beauty of the trees, the river, the goats and cows and of course the pot belly pig next door, were a wonderful surprise! We did a float down the river, ate at Weaverville’s finest, and toured the town.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dear Arttus Ranch, Thank you ever so much for the wonderful house and being so clean. Your attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Today I am writing of my wonderful day of rafting. Level 3 is a must. Swimming in the warm spot in Helena is a must. Hiking to the waterfall was a great experience. Being 70 is wonderful, full of adventure. The experience was total serenity.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thanks for the donation to CUESA! It is very appreciated. We had a great time! Wanna ride horses? Go with the “New Paul Revere”. Great for the experienced trick rider and rocking horse enthusiast! We had a great time here at the Arttus Ranch! We spent time fishing the river and exploring Weaverville. We also went to the secret swimming holes (Paradise Pools). They are beautiful and worth the trip! Two of the guys went on a fishing trip with the Trinity River Outfitters. They caught 3 large salmon. They also caught some small trout down at the river here. The dog that corrals the goats is all business. On Friday, after the Douglas City Cattle Drive of 2012, apparently the cattle should not be frollicking in the water while you are fishing (meaning the cattle got out of their pen and they’re not supposed to be down there!). Overall our stay here was fun and relaxing.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you lovely people of Trinity County for a relaxing 2 weeks. Despite “killer heat”, we enjoyed the river, the night stars, the County Fair (wonderful journey back in time), and grey fox, a miner’s cat, rattlesnakes, deer, and of course, the goats. And a pet pot belly pig. The house was comfortable. If you have a dog, watch out for burrs!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We arrived in the midst of a summer rainstorm. Air freshened and our bodies refreshened with the lovely smells of nature. Our boys went on a guided fishing trip with Huber’s - caught limits of salmon. Tasty! Enjoyed peaceful walks, fishing by the river, watching all the animals and birds, drawing the beautiful scene, and being with family, watching some classic movies, and lots of laughs. The house was fine for our needs, nice kitchen/table for gatherings. a bit short on the paper products for 7, beds a bit hard, but we all managed well enough with happy hearts. Thank you for a wonderful time!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This week was so much fun at the ranch! Wonderful fireworks in town, and a day kayaking on the lake. Best vacation ever! We brought our telescope this time to take advantage of star-gazing.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
