Oh my goodness...where to begin??? This home and property is stunning and it will be difficult to capture our experience with words, but I'll do my best! We have visited Silverton several times with our family and it's difficult to stay elsewhere! The homeowner has impeccably designed the home for incredible comfort and fully captured the stunning natural beauty of the San Juan Mountains. We were all in heaven during our stay and the access to winter (or summer) activities is unparallelled! Do yourself and your family a favor~book this house and you will not be disappointed...you'll also be creating memories to last a lifetime!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This house has a variety of architectural styles that are nicely blended and accentuated by a wide ranging collection of furniture and art. There is one aspect that they don't mention, and that is: there are no doors to any bedroom or bathroom. Absolutely bizarre for a rental to groups(city dwellers may be freaked out by the absence of curtains, but you are fairly alone). The master and third bedroom are joined by the masterbath, separated by a curtain. There is little ongoing maintenance, so once fancy fixtures and chairs are falling apart-not many. The kitchen is well stocked with implements, but no soap or toilet paper is provided for bathrooms, not to mention that staple of skiing vacations - Kleenex. Bring your personal reading lights. Hot water is good and plentiful. The heat is in floor, which is generally very nice during waking hours, but tough for those who like a cold bedroom to sleep in. The views are fantastic and the lot is very pleasant to wander around during non skiing time.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband, a few friends and I had a great time at Betsy's place! The house is beautiful and warm, filled with fabulous architectural details collected with passion all over the world. The kitchen is large and comfortable, perfect for cooking great meals and gathering with friends. Bathrooms are beautiful, beds comfortable and location is peaceful and amazing ! Everyone was happy and loved this home. The manager, Nicole, is not very friendly but the owner, Betsy, is great to work with! This is truly a special Place! Thank you and I hope to be back MartaRecommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
