Nestled in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia is BUSHY BEAR BUNGALOW offering spacious rustic luxury along with seclusion and a year round mountain view. All just 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and Ellijay. Minutes from hiking trails, horseback riding, Whitepath Golf Course and much more make this a great base camp for exploring our area.
As you enter the MAIN LEVEL an open living plan reveals a well equipped kitchen for those who wish to stay in and cook. The dining area comfortably seats six with two barstools at the island providing additional seating right next to the table. The living area's plush leather sofas and gas log fireplace provide an inviting spot to chat, watch TV ( many satellite channels including locals plus DVD's to choose from) or simply relax and enjoy the view. Get closer to the view by opening the french doors that take you out to the wrap around deck with log adirondack chairs and rockers. One of the three Queen bedrooms is on this level with its own french doors leading out to the large deck. A laundry closet is off from the kitchen with detergent and softener provided for you. The full bath on this level has plenty of quality fluffy towels, a hairdryer and hand and bath soaps for you as well.
The UPPER LEVEL has a spacious open loft overlooking the living area with its own picture window of the beautiful mountains. The chest by the futon provide all you need to turn this area into an extra sleeping area. It also makes a great spot to sit and read or play the wooden checkers provided. Also on this level is a private Queen bedroom with french doors leading to its own private balcony. The master bath is spacious with a jacuzzi tub, seperate shower and double vanities.
The LOWER LEVEL patio has the private 5 person HOT TUB that can be accessed from french doors off the third Queen bedroom or the game room. Off from this patio is a firepit for roasting marshmallows on summer nights while others soak in the hot tub nearby.The Queen bedroom on this level has the SECOND TV with its own satellite and DVD player. The game room provides a ping pong table and foosball table with CD player and music library. This design allows for three couples or family with kids to have more privacy with their own bedroom, full bath and private entrance to outside decking on seperate levels. Have a group larger than six to eight? The next driveway over offers a sister cabin, BUSHYHEAD LODGE, vrbo # 144497, that also sleeps six to eight. HIKERS-- A bonus to this already great cabin is its proximity to a well known trail. Walk/drive half a mile down a quiet gravel road and begin your journey on the Benton Mackaye trail. Literature and specifics are inside the cabin along with info on other nearby trails and waterfalls.
For your convenience all linens, soaps (except shampoo)and paper products are provided so all you need to bring are groceries and personal items.
