  We wanted to get away for a few days and this rental was perfect. They had everything that we needed to be able to stay home and cook. The house was clean and we had no trouble finding extra blankets or pillows. Linens were provided and they had a washer and dryer that even though we didnt end up using them, it was nice to know that they were there in case we did. It was a very short drive to Jay's peak and I would definitely love to stay here again if we do a ski weekend next year because it's so close, yet we can cook for ourselves and have much more privacy. I will definitely try to rent this property again upon our next visit to Jay's Peak.

  the house was very nice. everything you need at a good price. The only down side was the mile of non paved road. There was no frost in the ground and the road was quite rutty. car needed a real cleaning when we got home. This would not keep me from renting there again.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  Unfortunately, one person in our party was ill, and we had to cut short our stay at this property. So, we really are unable to fairly evaluate it. It is a beautiful, comfortable home - well furnished and updated. It is not a good place for older people and/or people with disabilities, however. There are too many stairs, and a lack of railings (especially from the basement to the main floor).

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

  The property was very clean and fully surpassed the groups expectation. Communication with the owners was excellent. (they know how to be straight to the point) Very efficient heating system and had no problem getting comfortable. I am not one to say things were perfect but I can find a bad thing to say. I hope it is available to my trip next year.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

  Stromhaus was great. It was everything my family needed for our get away. Our days were spent at Jay Peak, and our nights and mornings at Stromhaus. Jay peak is only minutes away. With 4 kids and 2 adults, each day we had a lot of wet equipment. After skiing we backed the car into the protected portico- easily unloaded, entered the lower level and change into dry clothes. The washer is right there for our clothes and we put the equipment on the floor. Because the floor is heated, everything quickly dry and was ready for the next day. Very comfortable and extremely convenient.

  The StromHaus is fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay as a base for skiing at Jay and enjoying a winter escape in VT. The cabin is perfect for a large group with plenty of common areas to hang out and all the amenities you could ask for. It is immaculately clean. Ignore your GPS which might try to take you the long way to Jay to avoid dirt roads - the drive is really quick and just a few miles over N. Jay Road, a well maintained dirt road. We want to come back again! It's is the third place we've rented in the area and certainly our favorite!

  The house is very nice and was a great place to rest after a long day on the slopes. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and the house is very well maintained. The location is great. If you want to take a break from Jay you can just go to Owl's Head which is just over the boarder in Canada. I will be most willing to stay again next time I am planning a trip to Jay. All in all everyone enjoyed their stay and was very impressed with the house. Might have to plan a summer trip to enjoy the massive deck.

  Spent five days skiing with friends at Jay Peak. Fortunate to have some of best early-season ski conditions in years. The house was perfect for a medium-sized group. It was convenient to have all necessities right there at the house (i.e. paper towels, clean linens, etc.) after a day on the slopes. Clean upon arrival. Lots to do at Jay Peak as it continues expansion towards a family environment. If I do not get out West next year my friends and I will surely be checking in to see if the Strom Haus is available! Note: Make sure your car is equipped to drive in VT weather before navigating the NEK!

  Stromhaus is a wonderful property located just minutes away from Jay Peak resort, hiking trails and restaurants. The house itself is very clean, and well equipped with everything needed in a vacation home. We had a great time hiking local trails with our dog, and we also visited the water park and ice skating rink at Jay Peak resort which is great when weather outside is not cooperating. We are looking forward to staying @ StromHaus when traveling to Jay area in the future.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with young children.
