Concierge available to book tours.: The house manager will act as your concierge. He can arrange airport pick up, private chef, stocked refrigerator upon arrival, catered meals, car rental, chartered plane, etc. These amenities are made through the manager either before or during your stay, and costs of such amenities are made directly to him. He can also recommend the best restaurants, tours, etc.
Although a 3 level house with lots of privacy for all, the lower bedroom only requires one step to enter, and you find yourself on the same level as the pool, living room, kitchen, dining room, and outdoor fireplace area. There is a ramp leading from the driveway right to this bedroom, then one step to enter, and one small step to pool area from the sliding glass doors which give a spectacular view of the pool, ocean and the jungle. This is great for anyone who may have trouble dealing with stairs.
There are many beautiful houses in Manuel Antonio, but very few are located where you really walk out the door to the beach. Also, parking is right at the house, not at a parking lot. No need to hike down or up a hill, hike up stairs, or walk down long halls or through lobbies. You get out of your car right in the driveway of the house.

Just got back from a wonderful week long vacation in Costa Rica. Im so happy we chose to stay at Garden house and not a hotel. It really feels as though you actually live in this wonderful place rather than an uncomfortable hotel. Evenings were spent relaxing and watching the beautiful sunsets while every morning we awoke to the sounds of birds and monkeys. Everything we could every dream we would need was at the house, even games for when it rains. We even planned half our trip from the books and brochures that were provided with the house. I only wish I could be back watching the sunset while floating in the pool overlooking the ocean to bad real life is calling. When I go back to CR I will certainly stay at Garden House. PURA VIDARecommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Garden House by the Beach, The Greatest! This is the house to stay at if you love the ocean and swimming. The pool here is fantastic, as we were swimming in this private pool every chance we could get,even at midnight. Not having to worry about hours of use, nor having to walk any distance to use the pool, it became a haven for all in our party of a variety of ages, and we could all be in the pool at the same time and still have room to swim. It was amazing as the temperature of the pool was always warm even when we were swimming by the light of the moon. We had rented other houses in the area, and stayed once at a hotel and the temperature of the pools were not always warm especially in the evening making them not so inviting. The beach also was just within a short walk and there was free shuttle service when we wanted it for those in our group not so mobile. This was also so pleasant since our previous stays in the area we found we always had to take a car to get close to the beach and it really was not convenient. The house manager of Garden House by the Beach, Thomas, was ever so helpful with our stay and the best recommendations for tours and restaurants for our group. He was great in that he provided such privacy that he made us feel as if we were the owners of the house, but he was always available when we had any requests. The house was furnished simply with all Costa Rica made furnishings which were durable and pleasant to the eye, which made you feel like you really were in Costa Rica and not just anywhere in the world. It did have all up to date appliances, and a very nice modern table service, One great thing we did was to order through Thomas, to have the house stocked with some food and drinks before our arrival. This was exceptionally nice in that we did not need to run to the grocery store as soon as we arrived. If you have never been to Quepos and Manuel Antonio, then you are in for a treat. Get ready for being treated like royalty. Every single employee in this private gated community and with the several companies providing tours in this town did everything to make our vacation, easy, fun, comfortable and most enjoyable. First, this home is everything the owner say and more. The feeling of being surrounded by jungle at the same time having all the comforts of a well maintained home was quite special. The incredible views from every room are amazing. The rooms are comfortable, well decorated and designed for even our large group to have privacy when needed. The pool is great and we all spent a lot of time in it when we weren’t on tours or at the beach. The beach is lovely with all beach toys, kayaks, boggy boards, lounge chairs and towels all included! The kids had a great time playing in the fresh water stream running into the ocean. The best day of all was our fishing trip on The Paz Espada. All I can say is wow! Diego the owner / captain, was well organized and knowledgeable. It wasn’t a fishing day it was a catching day! His boat was clean and comfortable for everyone. He had lots of beverages and lovely snacks, even took us to a private cove for swimming. Everyone had a fantastic time. Even me and I don’t like fishing!Owner response: The staff, the community, and those who serve the area in the tourism industry in which Garden House is located, are amazing, It seems like the consensus of everyone involved in working with tourists in the Manuel Antonio area, try to make sure that visitors return from their vacation with great experiences and wonderful memories, that they will share with their friends back home.

Hi Beverley! We had a wonderful vacation and the house is beautiful! The kids stayed in the pool most of the time when we were at the house. Every morning around 6am, a group of white faced monkeys came through the trees right next to the house. The kids called it "the monkey parade". I have never seen my sixteen year old son get up that early but he did every morning! Canopy tour was wonderful and three of us went white water rafting on the Chorro river! We enjoyed the National Park tour as well! It was a much needed and relaxing vacation. Thanks for sharing your home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

What a wonderful week we had at the Garden House! The house is beautiful, complete with all the luxuries of home. It has a fabulous view of the ocean, a front-row seat to the white-faced monkeys every morning and a wonderful concierge in Thomas. The house was cleaned every day, and our laundry was done without even asking! In addition to the fabulous accomodations, we found Costa Rica to be a beautiful country full of warm and friendly people. We wished we could have spent another week in this paradise, but will certainly return! We highly recommend white-water rafting, the canopy safari, a sunset cruise and a private tour of Manuel Antonio National Park. We loved Cafe Milagro (loads of mono titi's!!!), the restaurant at Si Como Non, Kapi Kapi and Barba Roja. All of Thomas' recommendations were wonderful!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
