Thank you so much for a fabulous family vacation! The house was the perfect size for our family gathering and had everything we needed. The location is great - our kids went skiing at Killington while we went sightseeing, antiquing, hikiing and shopping. Evenings were filled with cooking together, games, music and playing pool. We spent 3 nights prior to Christmas, and even though there wasn't any snow on the ground, the slopes were open with great powder skiing. Thanks David for a wonderful vacation, we would definitely rent again! Peggy

Our family of 4 had a great time at your house over Thanksgiving weekend! The house was perfect - very comfortable and spacious! The kids loved the pool table and my husband loved the wood-burning stove! Very convenient to Killington. Down the street from the general store and a couple of good restaurants. We will definitely return! And the skiing/riding was great! 28 trails open and no lift lines!!

The house is big and has a lot of room. We enjoyed how the house had so much open space and also the natural light coming in through the windows. The house is situated in a peaceful and quiet area surrounded by natural beauty. The house has everything that we needed for a week vacation. Dealing with David was a nice experience. He was thorough and very organised. He kept us well informed before we arrived because of some road construction that was being done during our stay.

We recently rented this house over the summer and what a great house it is. It has everything you would need and the owner David could not be more accommodating. The house has plenty of room for sleeping and entertaining. It's kid friendly with games etc and dog friendly as well. My only suggestion would be a BBQ. Other then that David has thought of everything. All in all a very pleasant stay

Your home was very nice. The other 2 couples also enjoyed it immensely. Obviously, it's much better than a hotel or whatever for keeping couples together, and there was plenty of room. Right down the road is Green Mtn National Golf Course - beautiful course. Very thorough and convenient directions and instructions. Nice owner and easy to communicate with.

It is truly nice to stay in a home that is well maintained and that the owner shows a sense of pride and care in the home. We stayed a week in July and had a great time in this comfortable home. It afforded our family space, comfort and privacy. The home is clean and the neighborhood is quiet. We really enjoyed the view of the mountains and stargazing on the deck!

We had a great weekend at the house!! David was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. The house was awesome - we had a large group of 12, and there was plenty of room for all of us. We loved the layout - it was all open so we could do different things but all be near each other. We had a great big dinner at the huge table. the fireplace was beautiful and the sound system was great too - the perfect place to hang out and have fun! We skiied at Killington which was an easy drive away. I would definitely stay here again!

Hello David, Thank you for letting us rent your home, we had an awesome time! It was my first time skiing in 60+ degree weather! The snow actually held up better than I thought, although all trails were makeshift moguls by 2pm which became pretty tiring, but we still had a blast. It was a beautiful weekend altogether and we really enjoyed the calmness, especially the sound of the nearby brook/stream.

This house is wonderful! I stayed with a small group (6 of us), but there was so much space and so many exciting things to do that we definitely underutilized what was made available! Close to the slopes, spacious, filled with good fun (pool table, ping pong, darts, HUGE fireplace) with comfortable beds to sleep in once the fun is done! We loved it, and we hope to come back soon! Thank you again, Lauren and friends

My family and I decided to take a last minute ski trip. I had no idea how we were going to make a 10 person, 3 dog trip happen in 3 weeks until I found David! He was so helpful, answered all of our questions, and best of all - the house was beautiful, cozy, and perfect. It had everything we needed, and the fireplaces were an excellent touch. The house was an easy drive to Killington and also close to Pico. Thanks David, we will definitely think of you if we decide to take another trip next year.

I wanted to thank you one more time for renting out your lovely home to us. It was absolutely perfect! We had a wonderful time up in Vermont. The house was clean, well managed, completely stocked, and everything that we needed was in the house! It was also great entertainment like the pool table, and the surround sound speakers were a nice touch. Thank you once again! If we make the trip again I will definitely look into this again! And I will definitely refer your home to anyone who plans to travel to Vermont. You were a pleasure to work with. Thank you! Stephanie

What a great house in which to spread out and relax! It's comfortable, has all the conveniences, has a great view and the relaxing sound of a mountain stream nearby. It's also centrally located just off route 100. We loved our stay and hope to go back some time. Thanks David!

We enjoyed staying at the house for a summer vacation. The location of the house makes it ideal for exploring many different locations in VT. We also enjoyed riding bikes and hiking right around the house. I especially enjoyed the spacious kitchen which was great for cooking. David was easy to deal with and helpful in every way.

The house is great. We were two families for a whole week and had plenty of space for us all. The house is built so that everyone can find his own quiet space, the wonderful rocket chair near the fireplace downstairs, or the play area with the pool table, piano and a sitting area by the fireplace with a view that is everything you expect from a mountain home. We had a wonderful time and the kids loved it! The house is also very close to Killington ski area and everything you need. David was a great host, generous and considerate. It was a pleasure.

The cabin had everything we needed for an awesome ski week. The slopes were a close 15 min. drive down the road as well as restaurants/bar (access road). There was a general store at the bottom of the driveway that was well stocked, along with a pizza shop that had good pizza, and a gas station. It was nice being off the beaten path were we could enjoy nature a little more. The fireplace was every bit of 5 ft. wide, and the wood burning stove downstairs was a nice touch. I would definitelly recommend staying at this cabin if you have the chance. David was a great host and was very easy to do business with. Hope we can get back there again.

The house was great. the layout was convenient everything was clean and functioning. Dave was easy to deal with. I felt like I got my money's worth. the property was a little difficult to get to in the snow. There is a big hill before the house but most people managed to get up just fine. next time I want to visit killington this is the place I'd stay

My group had a great time at this house during the week of New Years. The pool table and piano were both great for entertainment. The setup with the dining room overlooking the living room is also great for large groups. The fireplace is gigantic. There is plenty of space with multiple places to hang out. We did a lot of different activities at surroundings areas...skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, bowling, brewery tours, wineries, ben & jerrys - all at a reasonable distance to the house. David really has a great house with a pretty nice location. If my group is back in Killington, this will be the first place we look for.

My husband and I stayed in David's house for two months this summer. It is truly in the heart of the Green Mountains. My husband grew up in the area and was familiar with the house and the man who takes care of the driveway and snow plowing. David was the perfect host. He was concerned that we were satisfied with our stay. It was clean and well maintained. The caretaker was on call if we needed anything. We will definitely use this house for our next vacation. A++++++ to you David.
Owner response:Thanks very much for a great review! If you're happy then I'm happy! I'm hoping to make some more improvements between renters, so you can look forward to next year! David

We were a group of 10 friends, and I can only tell you that we are determined to come back! We were there for only one weekend by the end of March 2008, but we had so much fun! What should I start with? The house is fit for everything. If you want to relax, just light up the huge fireplace, grab a book or a glass of wine and you're there... Do you want to have fun? The pool table is very close. We had a sled contest outside in the snow... You can even remember at the piano an old song that everybody forgot... Of course, we were most of the day on the mountain. Killington is just a few minutes away! The kitchen is fully loaded, but if you don't want to cook, there are a few restaurants not too far. The rooms are warm and the mattresses are very comfortable. A good night sleep there will get you back in shape for the next day of skiing... You will not regret it!
Owner response:Thanks so much for the (very) flattering review! Let me know when you all want to come back! The house is waiting for you. David

We had such a great time at this house. There was plenty of room for our group, it was a short drive to the slopes, and a general store 2 minutes away. The driveway was tough with my car (boyfriends truck had no problem)(but we were advised beforehand. Only thing I suggest is make sure you have good tires! The fireplace is awesome, we had a blast playing pool and the piano. The caretaker is very very nice, and the owner is such a pleasure. It was a vacation we will never forget!! Thanks David!!

The house was a terrific value! Though not updated and contemporary, we had a nice time in front of the big fireplace. Driveway proved difficult. Had to park elsewhere and walk up with our things. The house has a quaint charm that would be suitable for most.
Owner response:Thanks for the good review! As you noted, the cost/benefit ratio is currently the key selling point of my house though I am making improvements all the time - a new stove & fridge and new carpets on 1st & 2nd floors are already in. The summer has much more in store - new woodstove, new carpets & flooring in the rest of the house, new dining table and chairs, wifi, and many more upgrades on the way. But rest assured; it will definitely retain the charm! Not much I can do about the driveway, but the nighttime tobogganing wouldn't be half as fun if it were flat! The review is correct that under certain conditions it can be a challenge. Though you're not the first to have to walk up, you're one of the few - despite the incredible amounts of snow we have had this season. Snow tires are not a prerequisite, but if your tires are wide or worn you may encounter problems negotiating any of the roads in the area, not just the driveway! You're welcome back anytime! David

This house was just as described and better...very very clean and well maintained. Everything you need (from dishes to pots to hand towels and washer /dryer were available)...there were even a few snow sleds!!! Very private location but close to the action too. Just outside a quaint town with a general store/gasoline and a quick ride to the base of the mountain and the "action" if you like. Also, within walking distance of the national forest/trails...such a beautiful sight. Owner is great to do business with...such a pleasure (he was always available via phone/email). Would recomend to anyone (from young to old).

Having the privilege to use this home made a weekend of memories that will last us forever. Being able to watch one of the first major snowfalls surrounded by your best friends and a blazing fire was throughly amazing. We are so great full that we were able to rent this house because it brought us together before we all leave for winter break,it made for an emotional, yet enjoyable going away weekend. Thanks again David!!!
