Shorecrest II is a Bahamian style three bedroom, two bath home located direct oceanfront on Great Guana Cay. Our home is situated on a 25’ dune. It is forty feet from our porch to our steps to the beach, allowing for beautiful views of the crystal clear blue ocean and the sugar-sand 5 mile beach. World famous, Nipper's bar/restaurant is a 15 minute walk along the beach.
Our home is a Bahamian style two story with the second floor consisting of a king bedroom, a bath, a family room with a 8’ sliding door opening to a 12’x12’ deck. It is a great area to relax, read a book, listen to music and view and listen to the ocean. The first floor has two bedrooms, a bath, a full kitchen and a living room. Offshore 300 feet is a barrier reef, offering excellent snorkeling.
Guana Cay’s settlement has a well stocked grocery store, a liquor store and several restaurants. Dive Guana operates a dive shop for diving, snorkeling, and boat, kayak, golf cart and bicycle rental.
Our home is located approximatly one mile from the settlemnt. We have none of noise of the beach bars, people coming to visit Nipper's and Grabbers or are we located next door to a resort. We have no home to the south of us for approximately 1500' feet allowing for private sun bathing. Sun bathing on the upper deck is private as we have a wall to the north side.
A standby generator is now avaialble.

There were 4 of us that stayed here at Shorecrest. The home is beautiful and the location and views can't be beat. The caretakers were great help and Ernie was wonderful in giving us all the help we needed in getting settled! You can't ask for a better location as it was very quiet and we practically had the beach to ourselves everyday (other than the sharks that decided to swim by around 5 in the evening every night) But...we were out of the water by then! We were totally happy with this home and want to thank Ernie for allowing us to stay at Shorecrest!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

The property was amazing! We loved the privacy and quiet location, yet we were only minutes from the settlement via golf cart. The kitchen was well stocked with everything one could need for preparing meals. The views were absolutely spectacular! Morning coffee on the deck was a real treat! Internet service was great. No problems at all. The outdoor shower was wonderful. Ernie was very easy to work with and answered any questions we had promptly and accurately. Will definitely book this home again for our next visit! The grocery store on Guana is well stocked. Prices are a little higher than in Marsh Harbor, but good selection. Fresh fish is available at several locations. Just ask any of the locals and they will gladly direct you. Be sure to check out Milo's stand for fresh veggies and fruit grown on the island. Ask about his catch of the day. We were on Guana for Barefoot weekend at Nippers featuring the legendary Barefoot Man with Sea 'n B. Barefoot played a day show on Friday and a St. Patrick's show on Saturday evening. The weekend was concluded with an AWESOME day concert on Sunday by Sea 'n B. They rocked Nippers! Be sure to visit Grabbers for some great food and drinks as well as good live music.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our stay at Shorecrest II was fantastic! Ernie's home was amazing! The kitchen is fully equipped and everything was in great working order. The views from the house were simply breathtaking. Ernie & Dolly had thought of every need we might have during our stay, including having boogie boards for my kids. A family favorite was to watch the sun rise from the deck- just gorgeous. We built sand castles, grilled out, snorkeled, took long walks on the beach and ate way too many conch fritters- we could not have asked for a better vacation. The pictures don't do justice to the home or ocean- it is truly paradise! The logistics of our trip went perfectly. Ernie was so easy to work with in renting the house, and once on the island Troy and Maria made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend renting Shorecrest II to anyone who wants to spend a week in paradise.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Wanting to avoid the all-inclusive black hole, my wife and I found and booked Shorecrest as a last-minute get away. We were a little nervous about what to expect, as there weren’t many reviews here and it seemed too good to be true. It wasn’t. It was amazing. The house is beautifully maintained… clean and cozy. It looks better than all the pictures here. It feels private and relaxed, but Nippers and the settlement are only a 10 minute bike ride away. The beach right in front of the house is a bit rocky in spots, but beautiful and comfortably swimmable. And the weather was great, even in February. Booking with Ernie was a breeze and the on-site assistance of Troy and Maria was great – we were picked up from the ferry and had lots of help and advice figuring out how to settle in. With the two legs of the flight and the ferry from Marsh Harbour, it’s definitely a bit of a trek if you’re used to a one-flight trip, but well worth it if you appreciate a real community feel and a beautiful landscape. We’ll be back for sure.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.
