LOST COLONY # 17 PORT ARANSAS, TEXAS
This home is unique in design from the surrounding units in that it has an open kitchen/living room with a high ceiling. It has been totally remodeled in the summer of 2007. Each bedroom has a private bath; two with tubs; two with showers. The master suite is upstairs and has a large jaccuzzi tub/shower. It also has an incredible view and a small deck. The middle bath off the living room can be used by guests. The deck on the front is 15 yards from the beach. You have a 180 degree view of the beach of Mustang Island (where Port Aransas is located. The is also the bedroom/bath downstairs at beach level, that we call the "surf shack"(no picture at this time). It has a window unit a/c and three windows that look right on to the beach dunes. There is a nice walkway to access the beach with an outdoor area to rinse off after returning. We have also put in a stereo receiver in the living room that will accomodate your ipod and or mp3 player.
This is a great place for children. You can see them from the house when they are on the beach. There is also a common area pool for you and your guests.
The house has some walls covered with cedar giving it a beachy feel. Also some large mounted marlin and sailfish. Tile floors in the living area with a drop living room where the kids usually hang out. The house has two dryers to keep the towels coming. Also there is an extra refrigerator/freezer in the laundry room. You can surf and fish right in the front yard! Some beach accessories are available for your use, such as eight chairs, an umbrella and a few toys. The complex has opened an overflow parking that will accomodate boats and trailers. Across the highway and north about one half mile, smaller boats can be launched in to the bay at a cut that takes you to the Shamrock Island area.
