Our stay at Fripp could not have been more perfect! We loved the home we stayed in and all decided we needed to make this a yearly trip. Our group included 9 adults and 5 children under 5 years. One of the things we liked most about the house was the 6 bedrooms on the main level. All the bedrooms were large with plenty of room for a pack and play in each. The kitchen was well equiped and although we did not do much cooking because of wedding events, we could have. The owner of the house was so helpful and quick to get back with us if we had a question.
Owner response:Thank you :)

We were so happy to return to Invincible again this year! Our group continues to be thankful for such a great open gathering space with the large tv! Also, plenty of room to eat and play board games. We love the two refrigerators and two dishwashers. The weather was beautiful and the short walk to the beach was so convenient. We also walked along the marsh boardwalk. The owner is great to work with and we hope to return again.

The reason we return to this property is because it is GREAT. It is huge. It is also close to everything important: beach club, ocean, tennis. The house is very comfortable. We've considered other properties...but after we view them...there is NO comparison. This house "Invincible" is indeed...special. We WILL be back.

I rented this house for all my bridesmaids to stay at for my wedding in Beaufort. It was such a beautiful house and it was very accomodating for a large group! Great spacious house right near the beach, and it had a huge back porch and a gameroom. Definitely recommend it and the owners are so nice and easy to deal with!

Invincible is the place to stay for your Fripp Island vacation. The location was awesome - a very short walk to the beach and to the boardwalk - which was great place to see a beautiful sun set. The house itself was absolutely wonderful. "This is a great house" - were words spoken numerous times during our vacation. There is a two of everything in the kitchen and everything you need to make your meals. The open floor plan allowed everyone to be together to eat, play games and watch tv. You can conveniently go to each of the bedrooms on the main floor or go outside and sit in the rockers to read or even relax in the hammock. The upstairs bunk room was a hit with the kids - so much space. The game room was also fun. We would stay here again - great place, great price and great owner!
Owner response:Please return anytime. Regards :)

This was a return trip for us. Both times we have loved our stay. The house is roomy enough to accommodate us (11 adults and 12 children) comfortably. We love the kitchen and game room and the large great room. When it was warm, the porch and tower stayed occupied. Riding around in the golf cart and seeing the deer and going to the park and beach kept the children entertained. This trip was cold and wet, but we still enjoyed our stay. We were still comfortable in this lovely location.

What an incredible house on a beautiful island! We recently stayed at this property and thoroughly enjoyed it! The house is huge, but it has a warm feeling to it - great for a big crowd or even just a few people. There is a huge TV in the great room and also TVs in the bedrooms which is nice if you want to separate yourself from others for a little while. I was even impressed by the comfy bed we slept in! There is a huge screened in porch in back where we sat every evening sipping on coctails, watching the many deer graze nearby. We also had fun in the game room below, where we played ping pong, foosball and billiards. The house is very close to the beach - not beach front, but it took less than a minute to walk there. And what a fantastic beach! It is so cool driving the golf cart around checking out all the deer and maybe an alligator or two sunning itself by the water on the golf course. Just off the island is Johnson's Creek Tavern. We ate there twice and it was excellent both times (if they have the sea bass - get it! Yummy!). We are definitely looking forward to returning to Fripp and this incredible house ASAP.

This pictures on this page do not do this home justice. It was huge and the bedrooms were very spacious and had a TV in every bedroom. The house is open in the common areas but the bedrooms are very private. It is about a 2 minute walk from the beach and the beach club. The kitchen was large and big enough to cook for an army. It was a perfect place for our entire family. The owner was very helpful and called us during check in and phone numbers are posted in the house in case you need to reach them. The place was very clean and neat. The golf carts were a big help getting around the island. We will be renting this place again.
Owner response:Thank you so much. Hope to see you again. :)

What a great house for a big family with children! We spent a wonderful week with our children and grandchildren at this house and everyone had their own space with plenty of room for togetherness as well! The bunk room upstairs was the favorite of the older children while the younger ones could be near their parents in the twins downstairs. The spacious living, dining and kitchen areas made our time together very comfortable as well. The hammock on the screened porch was a hit with all. The location on the island is one of the best, and just steps from the beach. There is plenty of covered parking and the golf carts were a fun way to travel to see the beautiful sunsets and deer in the evenings. We love bringing our grandchildren to Fripp!

WHAT A WONDERFUL HOUSE FOR A BIG GROUP. THE OPEN KITCHEN/DEN COMBINATION WAS GREAT.THE PICTURES DON'T DO JUSTICE TO THIS WELL APPOINTED HOUSE. THE BEACH ACCESS IS VERY CLOSE AND WITH THE GOLF CART IT IS JUST MINUTES AWAY. THERE ARE GREAT GOLF COURSES ON THE ISLAND AND SOME REALLY GOOD RESTAURANTS NEAR BY. IT'S ONE OF THE BEST VALUES FOR THE DOLLAR I HAVE FOUND IN QUITE SOMETIME.

House – Great spot for an extended family vacation. 4 primary rooms or suites come off of a large common area. Easy to be a part of the action – easy to get away. The walls are plenty thick. Upstairs suite can accommodate many kids, although there is only one bathroom upstairs for the adults who get that Queen room. Still, very accommodating. Game room is accessed off from the garage area. Don’t plan to sleep there. Kitchen can accommodate all families and is a great place to spend time catching up. Had trouble with the one fridge, but owner was very responsive to our needs. Understand there is a spare on site now just for such emergencies. With that said, the owner actually called on the arrival date to check on us and see what we needed. Not many owners will do that. Beach is great. Only two blocks to what is really the biggest part of Fripp’s beach. Good proximity to the pools and trails as well. If you are up for it, Hunting Island is only 2 miles or so away. The bridge to Hunting Island is a little tight, but one sidewalk can be plenty wide. Once on the island, trails take you to the lighthouse, nature center, and beaches. Sad to see the old cabins falling into the sea, but a wonderful spot to visit (and see turtles in the early morning hours.)

Could not have "discovered" a better location for our annual "Christmas in January" get together. Not only did the space accommodate my entire clan but Invincible did it in a beautiful and simple way. Each and every bedroom accommodated an individual family well and the older kids (6-11) thought that the "bunk room" was PERFECT!! The kitchen is to die for!! The weather was not the best, but none of us really noticed, as being inside Invincible was warm and wonderful. My hiking group is staying there in May and my family all voted to return in January of 2011.

Rating this property as FABULOUS is an understatement! We are an enormous family with lots of small children and the house and proximity to the beach were perfect for us. With 11 Adult and 9 children it's a challenge to find adquate and comfortable lodging that's luxurious...THE INVINCIBLE is all that and more. Top to bottom it afforded our family the best vacation in 15 years!

We LOVED this home! The layout was amazing and we had more than enough space for our multiple families. The kitchen with its double EVERYTHING made it wonderful to make big meals. The location on the island is perfection too! We were at the best beach with the most "beach" to enjoy all day long (and we walked the entire island to check it all out). Walking to the beach from the house was easy as pie, although we did take the golf carts, which were so much fun! We enjoyed being in the center of the island too b/c we could get to either end of the island very easily. The home was very nice, we especially enjoyed the steam shower that is in one of the master suites. Our kids adored the upstairs bunk bed room, super fun for them! Overall, fantastic place to stay and hope to for many years to come. Thanks~~

My extended family stayed at this house for a long weekend last year in May for my grandfather's 80th birthday. It was a beautiful house and perfect for what we needed and the wide rang of ages and personalities we had. It was also very peaceful. My other grandfather died unexpectedly in Atlanta right before we went to Fripp and so in the middle of dealing with grief and family craziness, I was able to relax and recharge my emotional and spiritual batteries. Whenever I started feeling overwhelmed and wanted to et away from the noise and all the people, there was always somewhere to go to be alone. I felt like it was a refuge and a respite at a time when I desperately needed one.

To put it in a word..."Awesome". This house if perfect for a large family week. We stayed at this home with our extended family and it worked out perfect. The living area and kitchen were perfect for our family. The kitchen has basically 2 of everything and we didn't have to run the dishwasher twice, and with the two Subzero refrigerators we had plenty of room for all of our cold food. This home could not be more perfect! The house is centrally located on the island close to the pools, beach club and beach. Fripp is a wonderful place to get away. We scheduled to come back next year while we were there! We didn't want to miss out!

Hi, We stayed in this property this past summer (2009). We were blown away by all of the amenities of the property and the general genteel display of Fripp Island. We had my three sons and their families with us for an entire week. This house has large rooms and plenty of space. The kitchen is a dream. The wi-fi pleased all of the youngsters. The location was perfect: basically next to just about everything you could wish for. We will definitely come back next year. Roger Boger, Atlanta, GA

7/6/08 Our extended family cam from all over the US to Fripp Island and spent a week at this beach house. The house is roomy enough and so nicely arranged that even with an age diversification from young children to grandparents no one felt "cramped". It is well maintained and located at one of the few places on the island that has a beach during both high and low tide. A real plus for us! You can also walk to the pool if so inclined. I would highly recommend this rental.

We recently stayed here for a week with 14 adults and 1 child. The house was great with lots of room for everyone to visit together or just enjoy small family groups. We had a couple of folks who liked to cook and they loved the kitchen with the commercial appliances and 2 of everything. It is a bit out of the way, but that was the way we liked it. The beaches were very nice and we spent a lot of time just exploring the area. We are looking forward to making this a gathering place for years to come.

Our entire family of fourteen was accommodated in comfort, convenience, and plenty of room to spread out inside and outside. The kitchen was fabulous: two of everything - sinks, diswashers, refrigerators and plenty of counter space. Six bedrooms, furnished with queens and twins, four bathrooms, and 4 TV's accommodated the adults in fine fashion. Everything was like brand new. Upstairs bunk beds and a 50 inch TV was home for the kids and downstairs was a rec room outfitted with ping pong, pool table, and foose ball table, many hours of fun for kids and adults alike. Three golf carts came with the house. There was a widow's walk on top of the house where we enjoyed watching the sun go down. We also enjoyed the heated pool and hot tubs at one of the clubs, the tennis courts, the internet cafe. We did not eat at a restaurant on the island. The owner was available to us and prompt to communicate as needed, most accommodating. I would recommed this house to a friend. The only downside to going to Fripp Island is that you need amenity cards to use the facilities on the Island. We would have saved ourselves some money if we had followed the owner's advice about how many of these cards to purchase. Our mistake, not his. A truly great house for our family's vacation. We would go back in a minute if we could all get off work at the same time. Thanks for the memories!!!

Our group (mostly teenagers) came 2 days after Christmas and left New Year's Day. There were a total of 11 of us and we were very comfortable. The house is the perfect location and the island is beautiful! The setup of the house is perfect for large groups -- the kitchen, the big screen tv, the porches, the parking -- a great place to entertain and to relax. The kids had a great time on the golf carts exploring the island which is full of wildlife and great places to take pictures. The beach was perfect for collecting shells and sandollars and was such a short walk from the house. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would love to come back.

This large comfortable house was perfect for our group of five couples. We all had privacy when we wanted it and could gather for our sedate brand of"fun and frivolity" when we desired. Being so close to the beach was wonderful and encouraged us all to walk off the seafood suppers we prepared. Can't say enough good about the house, the owner and the whole Fripp Island experience. We've rung in new years in Chattanooga, Asheville, Biloxi, Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island, Edisto Island, and in our hometown. Fripp was great and calls us back!

We (two families for a total of eight) stayed at this property over the Thanksgiving week of 2005 and had a blast. The owner is incredibly cooperative and the house is great for larger groups. Everyone had a bedroom and there were plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen was fully equipped and easy to use--a must when eight people are trying to cook Thanksgiving dinner together! The house is very close to the beach and the salt marshes. Fripp Island is a real treasure--be sure to rent kayaks and head out into the marshes. We would rent this house again and hope to do so. I can’t say enough good things about this property and its owner(s).

We stayed at the Invincible July 2005. We have been to Fripp for the past 12 years and this is the hands-down favorite. Close to everything. Large enough for my claustrophobic sister in law. When we compared it to some other properties on Fripp, the house was a real value. We do plan to come back. And by the looks of the way the calendar fills up, we're going to get our reservation in very soon. I would recommend it to anyone. It was great.

Outstanding retreat for our parents 50th Anniversary. 5 boys and families with Mom and Dad. House hosted 17 people in comfort without the feeling of being on top of each other. Kitchen hosted great storage and meals for the gathering, game room outstanding for that family competition, movies in the evening and the beach gave us all an opportunity to get away from it all. This house is all Tom advertised and so much more. Truly feels like home away from home. I would recommend to any who want to get away for that special occasion or just to get away from the rat race for some true relaxation.

This is a perfect house for a large family. We recently enjoyed our 5th year there. The house is modern, clean, and well maintained. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is plenty of seating for card games, relaxing, etc. The owner is very attentive. The beach is very wide and safe and is only a short walk away. Auto traffic is minimal both in the area and enroute from I-95. Golf is pricey on the island for the budget minded, but, there are nice, reasonably priced courses within 40 minutes. Rental of 1 or 2 carts is recommended for zipping around the island.

The home is absolutely perfect for large family or corporate gatherings. The kitchen is fully commercial with ample food prep and serving areas. The dining and greatroom combination, along with the large screen projection TV was entertaining and the lower level gameroom with the pool table, foosball, TVs and bar/dining areas was an exceptional way to keep everyone busy. Our family could not have enjoyed themselves more. I particularly liked the huge, screened porch for evening conversation and relaxing.
