Wonderful mountain views from the large deck on the main floor and covered deck area on the lower floor.
Our Chalet is equipped with DirecTV. This is the multi-colored remote. The on-off button will turn on TV and tuner. Guide will allow you to reference all channels. Channel up and down will scroll one page at a time. To play a DVD or VHS, hit the power button on the Go Video remote and open and insert the DVD. It should automatically switch to the DVD/video.
From October through April, the gas fireplace is available for your use and comfort. It is controlled with a remote.
Adjust the thermostat on the wall for your overall comfort. Keep in mind that the basement is always a few degrees cooler than the rest of the house.
Our Chalet has a fully equipped kitchen with all appliances, pots, pans, and bake ware along with all utensils and dinnerware/glassware. There is a gas barbecue grill outside for your use.
In the recreation room on the bottom floor, the pool table is available for your enjoyment. The downstairs bar has glassware and some snack plates for your convenience. There is also a small refrigerator and a coffee pot for your convenience in the wet bar area.
The couch in the recreation room is a pull out queen size sofa bed with an air mattress. The pump is in the closet next to the bar. There are extra linens for the beds in the cabinet by the bathroom. The bedroom on this floor has a queen size bed, so all sheets fit everything. There are extra comforters in the closet in the bedroom. There is also a vacuum cleaner in there for easy cleanup. The TV remote is the same as on the main floor and is hooked up to DirectTV along with a DVD player.
In the dining area you will find two serving bowls on the baker’s rack and various table cloths. We also have place mats located in the wine rack. Cookbooks are also available. There are various travel brochures in the drawers.
Our phone service does include long distance but you may make long distance calls using your own calling card.
Feel free to use any supplies that are available to you in the chalet
The main floor bedroom has a queen size bed and couch. The sheets and blankets are in the chest. The vacuum for the main part of the house is dressed like a bear. The ironing board and iron are in the loft closet.
The washer/dryer is behind the bifold doors by the bedroom.

- Lanai : On the bottom floor outside the recreation room the covered deck is furnished with patio furniture.
- Gazebo : Uncovered but with benches. We call it the space pod. Gazebo structure not yet installed but concrete slab available that can be seen from deck.
- View/Location
- Mountain View : Large picture windows and decks provide a wonderful peaceful mountain view. A great spot for relaxing or socializing with friends and family.

- Telephone : Please use your long distance credit card service for long distance. Only local phone service provided by owners.
- Computer : Owners do not provide a computer but bring yours and you c an hook up to printer that is available on site.

This was our second time renting this chalet. We are very comfortable staying here. The owners of this chalet are a dream to work with and very down to earth. Love having a pave road and driveway all the way to the chalet, Plenty of parking if you need that. Care takers of the property were nice and fixed problems quickly. People in town very nice. Moose Hollow --great place, and The No Name Deli was a favorite of ours. Would stay here again. Thank you Tom and Sharon.

Our GPS got us right to the front door of this chalet. That is not possible for a lot of the locations around Murphy. We recognized the building very clearly from the VRBO site photo's. All of the interior photo's accurately depict the house and it has plenty of room. The mountain views are not bad either. We were very pleasantly greeted by the property caretakers, Bob and Beth. They made us feel right at home from the beginning and we knew that we could count on them to address any problem that may crop up. The house was in move-in ready condition when we arrived. The location of the property worked out very well for us, convenient to Murphy for restaurants and grocery shopping and other activities. Restaurants we enjoyed included Shoe-booties, Murphy Chop House, Doyle's Cedar Hill, Rib Country and The Daily Grind. We also spent some time at Moose Hollow Trading Company. Downtown Murphy is small, quaint and has friendly merchants. There are many things around Murphy to do to keep you busy and entertained. We did the white water rafting with Wildwater Ltd. rafting outfitter, pontoon boat ride on Lake Hiawassee, toured the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, went four-wheeling in a national park in northern Georgia outside of Blairsville and other family-fun things. Property owners, Tom and Sharon were a pleasure to deal with throughout the renting process. We'll go back there again when we are in that part of the country.
