Pena Mar Ocean Club is located on the east coast of Puerto Rico just 35 miles from the San Juan Airport. This 3 Bedroom, two bathroom fully furnished apartment overlooks Villa Marina. From the balcony you have views of Palomino Island and Culebra.
Enjoy a nice relaxing cup of coffee on the balcony as you watch people board million dollar yachts and catamaran's as they depart out into the ocean.
All three bedrooms are air conditioned with Trane Brand Air Conditioners. Flat Screen TV, High Speed Internet and DVD for your enjoyment. Enjoy all the comforts of home with our leather couches and recliners, King Size w/ Memory Foam (Master) Queen (2nd) and 4 twins (3rd) 1500 Sq Feet Living w/ balcony.
For security and piece of mind, our condo is located on the 4th Floor and is the closest to the armed guard station that is occupied 24 hours a day. Most of the parking spots in Pena Mar are stacked one on top of each other. We offer 2 side by side parking spots for you or guests. Leather Furniture, Flat Screen TV with upgraded cable, True High Speed Wireless Internet & DVD, Desk/Secretary, new stainless steel appliances. You will love the huge fridge.
Pena mar offers a ton of features not usually available in other condos in Puerto Rico. Gated Entry w/24 hour security, Elevators in all units, Only two units per floor, Granite, Bidet, Huge Balcony with Ocean View, 3 Pools (One shaped like a boat, an Infinity Edge Pool with a Jacuzzi and one with a built in slide which the kids love. For those of you who like to exercise, a full gym and basketball courts are available. Pena mar is the most desired location in Fajardo because of it's Resort Style design and Security.
Black outs and Brown outs are common in Puerto Rico. It is not uncommon to go an entire day without electricity and water. Because of this, our condo is also backed up with an automatic generator that will kick in so there is no interruption during your stay. The Generator is designed to power all of the utilities in the condo and can last for several months. This includes the reserved water supply. While it has only been used in a couple of instances, it is nice to know it's there just in case.
Our apartment's location is excellent. Only one hour drive to San Juan, 15 minutes drive to Luquillo Beach, 25 minutes drive to El Yunque, the only tropical rain forest protected by the U.S. National Forest Service, 5 minutes to 'El Conquistador Hotel (Great Golf and restaurants). 5 minutes from the famous blue flag rated 7 Seas Beach. We are located right next to Villa Marina, where a wide range of sailboat and catamaran charters are available to take you on daily trips to the cays for snorkeling.
Some interesting places to visit: Loíza (bomba y plena), Canóvanas (the racetrack), Río Grande (fabulous golf courses and El Yunque, the Caribbean National Forest), Luquillo (the best-known beach on the Island, Balneario de Luquillo), Fajardo (day sailing to the cays of Icacos, Palominos and Palominitos), Culebra and Vieques (exquisite beaches), Ceiba (the Ceiba Forest), Naguabo (the seaside boardwalk), Humacao (a strip of excellent seafood restaurants), Juncos and Las Piedras (local artisans), Yabucoa (Lucía Beach) and Maunabo (the start of the Luis Muñoz Marín Route).
Known as "La Metrópolis del Este" (Metropolis of the East), Fajardo is a major tourism and recreation area. The location is ideal, with easy access to the archipelago of Vieques, Culebra and the nearby day-sailing cays of Icacos, Diablo, Palominos and Palominitos. In addition, there are a number of large marinas in the area as well as an airport and a major nature preserve. The 316-acre Las Cabezas de San Juan nature preserve features a lighthouse that has been in continuous operation since 1882. The tour of this area includes the lighthouse, the mangroves and the Bio luminescent Lagoon. Reservations are required to enter the grounds and take the tour.
Fajardo is well known for its excellent day sailing, snorkeling and diving. The day-sailing trips normally take you to one of the nearby cays for a day of snorkeling, sun bathing and feasting (food and soft drinks are part of the deal). For the divers, there is excellent clear water all around the cays, with plenty to explore. For a nocturnal trip in the Bio luminescent Lagoon. Of course, the seafood in this area is fresh and delicious.

Why the Owner Chose Fajardo
We wanted a place that near all of the popular tourist attractions for Puerto Rico. We have waterfront and access to all of the islands just off the coast of Fajardo such as Icacoas, Palomino and Palominito. One of the best things is that the ferry is very close and for only 4 dollars you can get a round trip ticket to Culebra. Shopping in Old San Juan or Hiking in the Rain Forest, the list goes on and on. Basically if it's happening in Puerto Rico it's happening near Fajado.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Pena Mara has an upscale resort style atmosphere to it. You have a choice of 3 distinct types of pools, exercise room, 24 hour gated access. One of the few Blue Flag Rated Beaches on Puerto Rico. This crescent shaped beach is one of the best beach on the island for your entire family.

Want your own secluded Island... This is one of our favorite places to spend the day snorkeling and sun bathing. Just anchor up and soak up the sun.

Definitely stop here to load up on all of your food and drinks. This entire shopping mall around Super Wal Mart has Everything you need.
Why eat here? I recommend eating the local food which is amazing but if you have some picky kids and only a happy meal will hit the spot... well here it is.
This is walking distance from the condo in case you need to pick up something quick. There's a bakery and a sandwich store also along with a marine shop.
Good Food with a great view. Nice place to hang out for drinks and to watch the boats come and go.
I don't remember the name but this is also walking distance. High Priced but worth it. I would recommend to dress up and maybe call for reservations.
The satellite view was taken when the property was first being built back in 2007. It's of course completely finished. Be sure to take a look at the photo's of the property.
This is the end of the Route 66 Bypass. Take a Right at the end to continue on Highway 3
Be sure to follow all of the signs to take Route 66 Bypass. I think the toll is 75 cents. C Lane (which is usually on the right)is for Change. A is for Exact Change. Don't go through the Auto Expre
Step 1 After exiting the Airport (Luis Mu��z Mar�n International) take rd. #26 east. Step 2 When road #26 ends, stay to your left and take route #66 toll road, or if you prefer take route #3 to avoid
Right when you have pasted the Fajardo Ford Car Dealer you will take a left at the light to go on 194.
This is a heavy traffic section with a deep ditch. Make your left turn here.
There is a "FARMACIA" at this second light. follow Calle B up and down the hills to the very end.
There is no light at this intersection so be very careful. Pull out slowly and take a left where you will drive down a little bit to see Pena Mar Ocean Club on your left.

We're a young couple who have 3 children. We wanted a safe and secure location that our children could enjoy during our vacations to Puerto Rico. We purchased our condo because of the upscale amenities that it has to offer. Things like a 30 day back up generator in case the electric goes out is one of the many things that you will come to appreciate when you rent from us. Check out the many wonderful comments from our previous renters and you will find out that our condo will be the home away from home at a very affordable price.

My husband and I loved this place! The condo is really nice and the balcony is a great place to have breakfast. There is a beautiful view for the balcony. You have the marina and the beautiful ocean. You can open the sliding glass doors and let the caribbean breeze come in. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, and fitness room is clean and well maintained. It is really safe too, you have to go through a security gate to get to the condo. Also, you have your own parking space. It is very close to El Yuque Rainforest. I would recommend this property. you get a great condo for a great price.

We were two senior couples traveling together throughout the Island. Our time at this property was pleasant. Top of list of pluses are value--it is, as marketed, moderately priced--and location. It is very close to major attractions of El Yunque, bioluminescent bays, ferries to Culebra and Viequez, highly rated beaches and 3 major resorts with all their available amenities, restaurants, golf, etc. The condo is nice for families with 3 BR's, several child friendly amenities (portacrib, etc) and 3 pools on the premises. Kitchen is equipped with all basics, making it easy to prepare your own meals and further stretch your budget. You can also enjoy some downtime on the balcony overlooking the marina, watching a bit of tv or a movie, or surfing the internet. We did encounter some problems on arrival: condo was very dirty, the 2nd BF queen bed was broken so mattress was on the floor and usable only if you were willing to climb over the rail to get out of bed at night, the internet didn't work and several other things were broken or in disrepair. We also had no toilet paper. Since we arrived late, 8:00 and tired after long day of travel, needless to say we were quite upset. We immediately called John. Initially he felt that we were exaggerating--we weren't--but he agreed to have someone come in the next day to fix the bed. By the next morning he'd decided to fly to PR from FL. He took care of all our concerns and more, adding several extras like an iron and board, bathroom and closet accessories, and new modem so we were able to enjoy use of our iPads for research. He even refunded us $110 for the inconveniences. Thanks to John's responsiveness, we were able to fully enjoy our stay. The biggest negative of the condo: street noise. Almost a must to leave the balcony door open to get sea breeze in the living room--there's no A/C there--and the noise makes it very difficult to hear the tv and at times to even have a conversation. Considering the strengths, we'd recommend this property.

The condo provided a secure, clean, getaway from our touring with its relaxing pools and convenient location. The balcony view is fantastic with the ocean on the left, the marina stretching to the right, iguanas and birds in the flowering trees edging the marina. (Caution: The balcony window-wall can be easily walked into if you get too enthralled by the view.) El Yunque, bioluminescent bay tours, beaches, restaurants, grocery/essentials and souvenir shopping are all available just minutes away. Our group of five adults and a two year old were truly pleased with the condo and our total experience.

The condo is exactly as pictured. It was perfect for our family of 6 (3 adults, 3 kids aged 5, 3, 3): ample space, comfortable beds, great pools. We were there during a quiet week in October and had all 3 pools to ourselves - lots of fun and perfect for young kids (and big kids - we loved the slide pool)! Very close to Seven Seas beach and Las Croabas. Grocery shopping nearby (Amigos and Walmart). Very easy access to Seven Seas beach. We had a great time and definitely would consider a repeat visit.. The only minor things I would note: the unit abuts the road, so there is some traffic noise. They were a little short on cups and cutlery, but John is so responsive I have no doubt they will add more to the condo. Great value for your money!

My family and I arrived later than anticipated due to heavy rain and traffic. Since it rained for the rest of the day we got to familiarize ourselves with the apartment. It looked just like it was depicted in the photos. One thing that should be mentioned is that only one room has a dresser of drawers, the other two have only closets for clothing storage. Other than that, it was as stated, neat and clean and well maintained. The owner was easily accessible by e-mail and answered all questions, as well as made recommendations for things to do and places to see nearby. The pools were gorgeous, warm, clean and kept well. Security gurards were accessible and friendly and also offered information, directions, etc. when asked. Almost all of them spoke English, too. I would definitely recommend this unit for anyone looking to go to and stay in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

Hi John - Thank you so much for listing your condo on VRBO. We had a fabulous time in Puerto Rico and the location, comfort and cleanliness of your condo was beyond our expectations. Plus the pools were out of this world!! We will definitely visit again. I hope you found our check out and cleanup to be satisfactory. We did wash the sheets and left them in the dryer before we checked out. We also left a small container of sugar which we dated in a sealed container in the cupboard to the right of the stove and a few clean dishclothes in the kitchen as there were none when we arrived. From the moment we stepped through the door we were impressed. Very clean and lots of room. Nice size bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice view of the Marina accross the road. The people at the gate were very courteous. Beautiful view of the ocean from the infiniti pool, although it could've been better if the builder had planned better.
