Soooo Close - You will drift off to sleep by the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. At our First Floor OCEANFRONT condo you are THERE - nothing between you and the water but sand.
NEW FOR 2011 - New furniture, cabinets, bedding, wall mounted LCD TV's, new flooring, updated bathrooms, and fresh paint throughout.
From the master bedroom you can watch the ocean thru the large window or step out on the balcony from your private entrance. Fall to sleep listening to the rhythm of the waves on our comfortable king size bed. In this bedroom all your needs are met with a color 27" LCD tv with cable/dvd, ceiling fan, and a private bath.
And you will be just as comfortable in the 2nd bedroom which also has a king size bed, ceiling fan, cable LCD tv/dvd and shares a "lighthouse" theme with the second bath.
The spacious living room has a queen size sofa bed, a 37" LCD TV w/dvd player along with a cd/stereo system. We have even left a few games and puzzles for those rainy days. You will find a rocker and recliner for your relaxing pleasure so you can sit and watch the ocean from the inside or go out the large glass door to the balcony to get the best view of the ocean. A great place to sit with your morning coffee and watch the sun come up. You'll find the kitchen fully furnished with all NEW Updated Appliances in Nov 2008 and NEW Granite Countertops, dishes, pots & pans, etc. and a new (Nov.2008) washer & dryer in the hall laundry room.
To further add to the comforts of our beach home, we have comforters, blankets and pillows for each bed and offer free use of our linens and towels. We also keep beach chairs and an umbrella for our guests use. We do our very best to make our guests comfortable during their stay. And with our place being on the 1st floor, there is no need to wait on elevators or lug coolers and beach chairs up flights of steps.
Our condo is an end unit and just outside is a convenient beach access. At the other end of the building is the full-size outdoor pool with showers, chairs to stretch out on, an area for grilling, and a second private access to the beach.
You will find our spacious beach home of almost 1100sq. ft. in a 14-unit complex near the north end of Surfside Beach. Less than 2 miles from the Hwy. 544 & US17 Bus.(Kings Hwy) intersection, our condo is close enough to all the Grand Strand attractions, but just beyond the heaviest of traffic & congestion. Known as the "Family Beach", Surfside limits hi-rises thus reducing the crowds & traffic.
Take a moonlight walk in the sand or enjoy a night on the town.
Less than 2 miles south you find "Crabby Mike's Seafood" or "Legends in Concert". A little further south is "Wild Water & Race Theme Park" & then on to Murrell's Inlet for more good seafood.
Or travel north up the Grand Strand to "Broadway at the Beach"
or "Family Kingdom Amusement Park" which are less than 8 miles away.
That's just the start, with Ripley's Aquarium, Carolina Opry, Dixie Stampede, Myrtle Waves, lots of outlet stores & so much more, you won't have time for everything.
Because of our HOA restrictions & in respect of our other condo unit neighbors, we do not rent to student groups or allow pets. Only 2 parking spaces per unit and no trailers, boats, rv's, campers, etc. are allowed in parking lot between Memorial Day and Labor Day (peak season). Also we keep our place a NON-Smoking home, so we ask that all guests who do smoke to do so outside. This is our Family Beach place when not rented, so we try to keep it as clean & comfortable for all who stay here. We have many repeat guests who have thoroughly enjoyed their beach get-away and I know you will too.

Why the Owner Chose Shores of Surfside I
We love the Grand Strand and have stayed in Surfside Beach several times and loved the quiet family atmosphere. We have family living at the north end of the Grand Strand, but when our children wanted to find a "beach place" of our own we chose to look at the south end and found a great first floor condo in Surfside. We bought the place in 2001 and thru a lot of work and remodeling have made it our "family beach home", when it is not being used by our special guests.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We really love being right on the beach where we can sit on the balcony and watch the waves, boats, and sometimes a dolphin or two. Our part of the beach is never really crowded. If we get on the beach and forget something, it's not hard to go back and get what we need since we are so close. We like having king beds in both bedrooms with attached baths for both our families. We just upgraded our kitchen with new appliances and granite countertops so it makes it much nicer if I have to cook. We rent out our place throughout the year, but we really try to keep it just like we want it for our family with almost everything there but the food. Since our building is pretty small with 14 units it's usually pretty quiet, which is fine with us. My husband and I particularly love the spring and fall seasons which is great for long walks on the beach. Our grandkids, of course, love the beach any time.

We love our Surfside Beach getaway which we own with our daughter Alison and son-in-law, Jay, along with 2 grandchildren. We live in Florence SC, not far from Surfside, so our place is a great place to escape for a weekend. There is nothing more peaceful than sitting on the balcony or on the beach and watching the waves roll in. The waves seem to have a soothing effect that makes you leave your worries behind and enjoy the moment. We believe all our guests will enjoy their "escape" at our beach home. We do. There is not one thing I can think of that would have made this condo any better for our vacation. It is immaculate and very comfortable. We loved it so much that we have booked it for 2 separate weeks for next year. Janice is a pleasure to work with, too.

This was our first experience using VRBO. We were thrilled to discover that the accolades for this condo (gem) were right on the money! There is great access to both condo and ocean. The condo was clean, well supplied in every respect, and the sunrise views will take your breath away. The location in Surfside is perfect for access to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. We are "seniors" and needed the condo to reflect the description..it did...in spades! Thank you for meeting us Janice on such short notice. This was our second year in August, 2010 and it was just as fabulous as the first! Right on the ocean, easy access and all the things to make it homey. Updated kitchen is beautiful and practical. Clean, lots of room and wonderful, wonderful balcony view right in front of the ocean! The pictures don't do it justice. The directions getting there are very accurate and the instructions about the condo and area highlights are wonderful. We used the guest information about dining and entertainment. We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends or anyone seeking a home away from home. Looking forward to next year already!

What a wonderful vacation getaway.... This condo was so adorable and most importantly CLEAN!!! The owners have taken such good care of the place and we really did have a wonderful time! We really enjoyed our stay at this rental In 30 years of beach going this has been one of the best rentals we have had, very clean and well maintained great view ,easily assessable beach nice pool and some great views very quite and relaxing. a lot of attractions and restaurants are close Communications with the owner was excellant. She even called us to make sure we were well taken care of . I would recommend this to anyone and will rent it again

We stayed at the condo 8/15/09 through 8/22/09. Weather was beautiful and the place was fantastic. It was clean and bright and had a view to die for. I didn't want to leave and will certainly return again year after year. It is a great place to rest and relax and everything you need is already there. You just show up and let the fun begin.
