This lovely family home was built in 1828 and is furnished with fine antiques. Located on nearly three acres of gardens, lawns and meadow, the house is just down the street from the historic Bennington Battle Monument in the Village of Old Bennington.
The first floor has a formal library-styled parlor, perfect for a quiet read. The family room, the original Old Kitchen, has a wood burning fireplace. It is a great place to gather for enjoying a drink and watching the fire or a bit of TV. Meals can be enjoyed in the separate dining room or in the newly updated kitchen at the antique kitchen table. One bedroom, with a new queen bed, and a full bathroom are also conveniently located on the first floor.
Upstairs, one bedroom overlooks the back garden through a big bay window. The two bedrooms have antique twin beds with new mattresses. A cozy TV room is also located upstairs. The sleeping porch is enclosed and usable throughout the winter. The upstairs full bath has a deep claw-footed tub. A half bath is adjacent to the sleeping porch.
