COZY LIVING ROOM - Baja, Mexico Vacation House This charming beach cottage is located in the quiet, secure seaside community of Punta Banda, along a beautiful sandy 6 mile beach on the bay across from Ensenada. A short 300 yd walk brings you to the waters edge where the natural entertainment provided by seabirds, seals and maybe even a migrating whale is a fabulous bonus of this area. Our super clean, freshly painted and decorated cottage with a comfortable open kitchen/livingroom floor plan offers a great way to all be together. Just 8 miles away is the World Famous La Bufadora,(one of only 4 or 5 in the world) a natural sea cave that sends the waves shooting up to 50ft in the air in a spectacular show of cascading water on to the rocks above. A MUST SEE! The open air shopping,great restaurants and lively bars are a lot of fun too. Nearby Ensenada is a great place to find shopping, museums, art galleries, fabulous restaurants and taco stands. Home of the Ensenada style fish taco- A GREAT CULINARY CREATION! Cruise ships port here several times a week adding to the ambiance. Papa's and Beer and Houssongs Cantina are just a couple of the lively spots in this city that is always ready for a fiesta! A great day trip for wine lovers is Valle de Guadelupe, approx. 90 minutes away, it hosts more than 30 wineries, many offering tours and tastings. Sportfishing charters available just 5 minutes away with local fishermen or at the marina in Ensenada. The weather in Punta Banda is similar to San Diego- averaging 82 in summer and 64 to 70 in winter. Winters are absolutely gorgeous - clear, comfortable and quiet, except for the sound of the breaking waves of course. Summers are warm and welcoming, with so many activities,it is a fabulous vacation spot. Because we are on a bay, the waves are smaller and safer for children to play in. Building your best sand castle, boogie boarding in the waves or just reading a good book by the shore - Punta Bunda is a wonderful place to spend some special time.
