My family had a wonderful weekend at the cabin. The waterfront views were breath taking. Our trip was beautiful and the cabin was cozy and relaxing. Our dog had a blast playing ball in the front yard, can't wait to stay there again.

We loved the cute, cozy cabin, wonderful windows out the back of the house, with great views of the river. I loved how quiet it was at the place, and the feeling like you’re all by yourself with nature! I loved waking every morning and being able to see the river out of the window!

Margaret and Steve - thanks for a wonderful stay at your nice cabin. It was nice to have ready access to both the Au Sable and Manistee River systems for my week of trout fishing. The location was fairly close to a major road, but still quiet. The water in the the river in front of the cabin was too warm to hold many trout, but it was nice to see out the window before taking off for nearby adventures. Being from Wisconsin, the cows made me feel at home...
Owner response:Dear John, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Riversedge Cabin. Thank you for sharing your experience with future renters. Please come again! Margaret and Steve

We had a lovely time. My favorite spot was on that little bed on the "sunroom/porch"....what a great room. Glenn tied flies on the table while I read a book or played solitaire. It was so quiet there. We watched the woodducks and the mallards, and lots of birds. I think the size of the cabin was ideal for us. It's set up so cute, the amenities were perfect. The weather was chilly but we managed to fish on Friday, the Manistee and Saturday, the Manistee, North Branch and the stretch in front of the cabin. Not really good fishing on Saturday, but Friday we did great. The cabin was warm and cozy. Perfect. Thank you for sharing it with us.

My wife and I spent a very enjoyable relaxing week at the Riversedge Cabin. The location was incredible, just as described in the listing. You saw no other buildings, lights or people, all around was simply woods and water. The Au Sable is perfect at this location for fly fishing and simple wading. Cabin was clean and well maintained. It was well stocked with basic glasses, pots, pans, outside grill, and chairs for sitting around the campfire. Picnic table near campfire provided wonderful site for evening meals or morning breakfasts. Firepit was excellent for outdoor cooking, but you do need to bring your own grate for ease in cooking over the fire. All appliances worked very well. Air conditioner was very good as well as heat. Go figure, when we got there we needed air conditioning at end of stay we needed heat. Oh well, it is Michigan. We saw lots of animals in the area. Deer were in the yard. Wild turkey walking on the driveway and in the woods across the river. I did see one eagle flying around the area. If you are a golfer, then the area is home to a lot of great courses within 30 mins of driving. As previously noted, fly fishing is right outside the door. Bike path to Hartwick Pines and downtown Grayling is an easy 3 mile ride on the wide shoulder of the main road. Drivers in the area are familiar with bicyclists and gave us a very wide berth when we were riding. I would highly recommend this location and the owners. They answered all questions quickly and completely. They did allow us to rearrange our schedule at almost the last minute without any extra hassle or charges. Our security deposit was returned within the week. I would return here without any hesitation and recommend it to my family members and friends.

Everything was great. The views out the windows were fantastic, a very picturesque, truly up north setting. Loved the magazines. Would recommend to friends.

We did enjoy our stay at your cabin. It was peaceful and relaxing. We visited the Hartwick Pines, and flyfished several areas of the AuSable river. . . So we had fun. Thanks for the use of your cabin.

Thank you Margaret & Steve for sharing your cozy cabin with us. It was the exact kind of get-a-way we were looking for to do some cross-country skiing. We've stayed in the area before and were subjected to the sounds of snow mobiles all night, but your cabin is tucked in the woods where it is very peaceful and quiet. We saw lots of deer and even had coyotes doing their beautiful call outside the cabin one early morning. We definately want to come again next winter.

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your cabin. Time went by fast but we felt comfortable because your cabin has a feel of up- north comfort.[in the woods, on the river, warm, and cozy] We saw a doe with her yearling cross the river on tues morning. We also saw a turkey eating your grass seed under the straw. We waded upstream and fished down to the bridge. We spent a lot of time just watching the river flow by. We even played cards, and celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary. We would like to rent again in the future when we want to get away to a nice comfortable cabin on the river in the woods. Thanks for sharing your cabin.

We returned home late last evening from a very enjoyable and restful two days at Riversedge. Thank you for sharing this beautiful homey space with others. We used our canoe almost constantly when we were not hiking through the rotting snow at Hartwick Pines. I think all the dogs up and down river were beginning to recognize us. We saw a pair of wood ducks meandering in front of the cabin on our first morning and several pairs of mallards after that. An energetic family of river otters played on the bank just upriver from the cabin and ten deer forded the stream in view of the dinner table on Monday evening. Though we live in a rural area where deer are more prevalent than the people, it was still fun to see them legless and belly-dragging through the river.

The cabin was WONDERFUL!!!!!! We enjoyed every blessed moment of peace and solitude... When we awakened on Friday morning and saw the river- oh, so close, the snow softly falling and the deer browsing under the cedar trees, we knew we were in AuSable Heaven!!! We barely left the place; we were so cozy and comfortable. We read, did crossword puzzles and watched DVDs which we brought. We brought a CD player also and kept the Beethoven going all weekend. We cooked up some dynamite meals (and got the smoke alarm going!) and we SLEPT! I haven't slept so well in months! We did make it to the Keg O' Nails to watch part of the RedWing game and we snow shoed through Hartwick Pines State Park for about 5k on Saturday... Thank you, thank you for sharing your beautiful spot with us!!

Very cute and cozy with all the comforts of home. Having the cookware was great! The bed was very comfortable and I loved all the windows with the river right there!
