Located just outside of the village of Edgartown in a private area where all homes have 3 to 11 acres of land, this house offers tremendous privacy and tranquility. This newly constructed home offers three bedrooms, each with its own bath, a state of the art kitchen, a large and open greatroom living/diningroom that opens to a large yet cozy covered porch filled with teak table and chairs overlooking a beautiful perennial garden and lawns.. There is also a second living room with fireplace and french doors opening to extensive gardens, a bluestone patio enclosed in classic vineyard stone walls, a private 6 person hot tub with views of the expansive 1 acre wildflower meadow.
If you are tired of searching the generic list of rental homes and want something a little nicer, this may be the house for you. This (main 3 br 3 bath) house can be rented alone or with the guest house( 2 br 2 bath) thus making it an accommodation with 5 bedrooms and 5 baths). Rates and details here are for the main house alone. Call for information on renting the whole compound.
On site there is also a heated inground pool set off in a common area (not to intrude upon the privacy of either the guest house or main house) which is for the exclusive use of the guests in both the main house and the guest house. Both homes are professionally decorated with original artwork, antiques and all new and comfortable furnishings.
Casual Vineyard Style, exceptionally well-equipped, immaculate, perfect, well laid out living spaces, wonderful, peaceful and convenient location is what our guests say over and over again. Why the Owner Chose Edgartown
We chose this location to build our compound for several reasons. Our children who are now all grown were fortunate to have grown up on Martha's Vineyard. Now as adults they are scattered across the country. It has always been our hope that this compound will serve our now grown family as a place to always return to their beloved "Island" and gather for years to come with their now growing families. When our family does not use the house we rent it out in hopes to share all that is magical about the Island with others and thus in doing so help support the expenses of the house. We love how our home is equal distance to the 4 down Island towns yet we are away from the summer traffic that seems to plague the Island more and more each summer. We are in a location where you will always feel a cooling breeze off the Atlantic and when the surf is high you can hear the ocean. Sitting in a 6 acre meadow you will find sunshine and acres of wildflowers that change every day. It is a pretty amazing spot. Homes in our area all have from 3 to 24 acres of land so it is very beautiful and rural.
The Unique Benefits at this House
While you are at the house you will most likely see deer grazing in the meadows in the early morning or at dusk. Wild Turkeys and numerous other birds are to be found as well. Sunset and night time sky is a favorite of everyone who visits our property. Turn off all the houselights and sit in the hot tub for a night sky like you may have never seen before. The milky-way looks like you could just reach up and grab it.

Many of our guests come back year after year and often joke when they first arrive at how happy they are to be home! It is our goal to make your vacation all you had hoped for. Vacations are important for families these days. We all work very long hours and at a faster and faster pace. When it is time for vacation it should be just that...vacation...not a problem house that needs things fixed or replaced. We have gone to great lengths to make our home furnished and equipped to a very high level of comfort so you will not feel like you are in a "rental". From the bed linens to the original art work...AlClad pots and pans and a fantastically equipped kitchen....teak outd0or furniture and beautiful gardens to sit and enjoy...you won't be dissapointed

Our family gathered taking the whole compound for the celebration of our mothers 60th birthday. We have rented many vacation homes and I have to say this house is by far the best home we have yet to find for rent! We could not have asked for a better place to vacation. Each bedroom had its own bath and all the living spaces were so beautifully decorated and appointed. The house was immaculate and bed linens, beach and bath towels all in new condition. The setting of the property is so "vineyard". It sits in a huge wildflower meadow and the immediate areas around the house are so beautifully landscaped. The flower gardens and veggie garden there for us to not only look at but to harvest from as well. We had never seen a salt mineral pool before and now are totally spoiled. I will never swim in chlorine again! Thanks and more thanks for making your home available for rent and also for the incredible job you do in keeping in so perfect. We give you an over the top 5 stars !!!!! Thanks again.....we had an amazing time!
