BEAUTIFUL LAKE VIEW
BEAUTIFUL LAKE VIEW
Stayed two enjoyable nights with my wife and daughter at this spotlessly clean and well stocked house. The lake view with mountain background was beautiful and property was a short drive from the Georgia Mountain Fairground and a couple of very good restaurants, The Chop House and Brothers Restaurant. Stay was too short and I would definitely stay here again. Also, Ruth was very easy to deal with and very helpful with information on activities.

This was our first visit to Hiawassee. We came for the 2013 GA State Motorcycle Rally and tried to get a room at the host hotel. As there was no rooms available, I checked the vrbo site and found exactly what we needed. Our two bedroom garage apt was tastefully furnished, had beautiful hardwood floors throughout and had all the amenities we could need. The owners live next door and were available if we needed anything. We were provided a place to park our bikes out of the rain during our stay. There was a wonderful view of Lake Chatuge. Would definitely rent again.

A great place to base yourself for Georgia Mountain Fair events and sightseeing in the area. Also perfect if you just want to relax on the deck or in the living room and enjoy the view. Everybody including the family dog enjoyed the quick walk across the road to a small beach and great swimming or lazing in the lake. Early morning walks in the neighborhood were very enjoyable. Our hosts kept us plied with fresh peaches from their tree which caused our daughter to bake her first peach pie. A very clean home and a pleasure to visit. Located on the lake side of the mountain so very quiet (no traffic noise). The sky at night was a stargazers dream. The Chophouse Restaurant about two miles away was our favorite place to eat with an imaginative chef and great service. A well stocked Ingles supermarket is an easy 2.5 miles away.

The owners were very helpful and very friendly. The house was very clean and well-suited for our needs. The location was perfect for us to see the area. Nothingwas lacking for supplies in the house. We had a wonderful time. The listing and photos were accurate. We would recommend this property to a friend or relative. Several of the restaurants that the owners recommended were very good.

Wonderful place with fantastic view of lake and close to town
This place is very clean and cozy. Fantastic view of the lake and great quiet street to walk dogs. Also, close to town - only a few blocks from moveis, and restaurants. Fully stocked with cleaning supplies, coffee filters, soaps, etc. Stayed in April and saw the beautiful dogwoods trees from the porch.

My husband is on a scooter almost full time because of MS and this accommodation fit us well. It is all on one level. The bathroom has a small step into the shower. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous!!! The picture in the add is exactly what you see from the couch as you rest and relax!! The owners are very accommodating and willing to put down ramps as we needed. We went to Brothers just outside of Young Harris to eat..it was GREAT!! If you are looking for a relaxing, well maintained home this is a good place to try!!

A wonderful, inviting and very clean house. Perfect for a family of four. Beautiful views and a tranquil atmosphere on the wraparound deck. Ideal for sunbathing or relaxing in the evenings. Ruth and Glenn were so accommodating and generous. You could not ask for a kinder hosts. Everthing you could possibly need while on vacation is there. We will definitly return to the Dogwood Den on future visits. We would encourage all travelers, visiting the area, to choose this as your resting place. You will not regret your choice.
