From the time you arrive at Vista Bahia you will witness the view "Wow Factor". From our huge front terrace, living and dining area and each bedroom you have extensive views of the beach, bay, city and ocean. Our 2,300 Sq.Ft, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom condominium is located on the 6th floor of this complex over looking La Ropa Beach.
One of our nicest features are the folding glass doors that span across the living area and separate the living area from the terrace. Fold them up and you have a very large room that with the breezes and ceiling fans make air conditioning usually not needed. If it is still too warm ceiling fans and air conditioning are in each room.
A complete modern kitchen with granite counter tops and plenty of room make cooking an easy pleasure. The kitchen is part of the living area so you can entertain and prepare meals at the same time. Six people can dine inside or outside on the large terrace. Or at any number of fine restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the condo. There is a water purification system that provides drinking water to all inside water taps. The condo has white marble floors inside and hand made terracota tiles on the terraces. Each bathroom has a huge marble walled shower and marble counter tops. Each bedroom has a king pillow top bed with Casablanca type doors that when open view the entire bay, beach, city and ocean.
You are close enough to the beach to here the waves lapping softly yet not over whelming. Security consists of a safe in each bedroom, a electronic key coded entry gate, inside private elevator and a night security guard. The 2nd floor is taken up by our very large infinity pool that views the entire bay, beach, ocean and city. A covered table and seating area at the pool works well with Margaritas and food during the day or at sunset.
From the condo you can watch all the beach activities from swimmers, banana boat rides, skiers, para sailers, boats coming and going, jet skiers, hobby cat sail boats and about twice a week during the winter months a Cruise Ship will anchor for the day. The bay and surrounding area offers many options for snorkling, diving, shopping and fishing. You can spend an afternoon on the catamaran "Picante" for snorkeling or for an evening sunset cruise.
Ixtapa offers quite a night life, two great Pete Dye golf courses, more shopping and restaurants, a marina full of boats from all over the world and Ixtapa Island where you can spend the day at a beach restaurant and snorkel. Taxi's are cheep and numerous. Our condo can be rented as a one bedroom studio with a microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender and small refrigerator. The studio has it's own TV with satellite service, DVD/cd player and phone. This studio is also our 3rd bedroom. It has it's own locking Casablanca type door and private bathroom. It has a small terrace that is separated from the main house terrace by a wall of potted plants. Or the condo can be rented as a two or three bedroom complete home. The main house has it's own TV with satellite service, DVD/cd player, phone and a washer/dryer.
There are only 6 condo's in this complex with 3 owners living there year around. You will find this complex to be quite and tranquil. Making it more suited to adults. However we do accept kids of all ages.
Prices are in US dollars.
High season is November 1 through April 30; low season is May 1 through October 31. Holiday weeks are Thanksgiving; December 16 through January 8 and the week before and after Easter. Check-in time is 3:00 pm. Check-out time is 12:00 pm. If you have later flights you can store you luggage at the entrance area and enjoy the pool using the pool bathroom to change for the trip home.
