The condo was exactly as advertised, clean, nice decor all the amenities of home..including the blender! We sat on the lania each morning and drank our coffee while watching the whales!!! Just gorgeous! The condo was perfectly located and nice a quiet. I would highly recommend this unit and working with Kathy, the owner was without stress.

Vacation in Paradise

Kathy, I want to thank you for opening your Hawaii home to us. We felt very welcome when we step through the doors at Kaanapali Shores. We spent two weeks in paradise. We had a wonderful time with our Daughter and her husband the first week and just my wife and I the second. I might suggest your potential customers, to do their research on the Island of Maui. It can be very expensive to dine. We spent several weeks prior to our vacation and went online, we found that most restaurants, clothing stores and activities have coupons. We saved a lot of money using these. The snorkel equipment was “2 for 1 rental” at Boss Frogs. Black Rock was the best place to snorkel. We rented bikes for a week and went on a snorkel trip to Molokini. Our kids decided to drive to Hana; we have done this in the past, you really only want to do this once. We really enjoyed the Aquarium; you get to see turtles, the exotic fish and sharks with a clear walk thru in the tank. I have in the past played many rounds of golf in Maui. Some of the best golf courses in the world is located on Maui. This year I decided to leave the clubs at home and spend more time with the family. You were correct that if you leave the sliding doors open for given time, you may find visitors. The little birds have no fear of humans. On the Lani they will sit next to you and talk up a storm. If you give one a piece of bread they will tell 50 of their friends and you will have a concert. The pools were great, we liked the one in front (square one) with the bar. Gary our pool hostess took care of every need we had. What a thrill watching the NBA playoffs next to the pool with a cold drink in your hand. Your home was nicely decorated in Hawaiian culture. We loved the flat screen TV in the master bedroom. The jetted tub was great after a hard day of shopping. Also we found out that when you check in and pay in advance for parking for our vehicle a second vehicle was no charge. Thank you again, we will be back! Mahalo,

It was a great trip and the weather was perfect until the last 2 days, when it got kind of cloudy and cooler, Even still, it was in the high 70's on those days and the other days were in the 80's. We returned home to a high of 40 yesterday! Your condo is very comfortable and well furnished and equipped with everything anyone could need. We especially appreciated being able to use the beach chairs. We loved the location and the view from the balcony is spectacular."

Spectacular Stay

This property has it all! I will be going back to Maui and I will request this condo. It has everything you need for a fantastic stay on one of the most beautiful islands. My husband and I loved the secluded and private location at the Kaanapali Aston Shores which set back away from the beach but still within a breathtaking distance to the ocean. It really felt like home and I was emotionally attached by the end of our trip. I didn't want to leave! I highly recommend this condo for anyone travelling to Maui. Everything is within walking distance and the scenery is the best.

my family of 6 stayed in this condo from 8/31 - 9/9 and didn't want to leave. The condo was exactly as it is described and the grounds are beautiful but nothing beats the views from every room. I enjoyed sleeping with the windows open and listening to the waves. Kathy is very helpful and answered every question that I had prior to our vacation. I will rent this condo for our future vacations.

Vacation paradise

We rented this unit from Kathy and didn't want to leave. Right off the bat Kathy was very professional, making sure we understood the room rate, taxes, parking, etc. She responded to every request very promptly. The condo was so comfortable and spacious for our family with two children (5 and 10). They loved their bedroom and the little TV after a long day of beach and pool. We loved sitting on the lanai in the mornings and evenings and watching the ocean colors change with the light and wind. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook a couple of dinners in and the supermarket across the street - while slightly more expensive than the Safeway in Lahaina - had everything we needed too. The master bed was so comfy, I slept better than I do on our bed back home. Skip the overpriced (and somewhat snobby) resorts of Kaanapali Beach and drive a couple of minutes further north to this condo - the Lower Honoapiilani Road is great for walking or running in the morning, plus just down the street is a farmers markets, street vendors, Boss Frogs and Bad Ass Coffee. The shops at the resort are also great for picking up a dress or Hawaiian shirt for a Luau and little gifts for friends back home. The Paradiso Pizza across the street was really good (and we tried the owner's new restaurant, Cilantro, in Lahaina - also good and cheap). The pool may not have waterslides or pirate ships, but there were always chairs and they have good happy hour Mai Tais at the poolside bar. This condo really made our first Hawaiian vacation a memorable experience. We felt like royalty but I loved that we were probably paying less than half what the other people on our floor were paying for their rooms! I'm definitely bookmarking it and we're already planning our next vacation - trying to get more family to come with us this time. We recently stayed at this condo (6/19-6/26) and it was perfect! It had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed all the extras (such as: coolers, beach chairs, snorkeling gear). The view was beautiful. It was nice to have 3 TV's in the condo, so the kids could watch whatever they wanted to in their room. Very roomy. We never had to turn on the A/C because the trade winds were blowing through and that was just fine with us. We will definitely stay at this condo again. THANK YOU for a beautiful stay! We recently stayed in the condo, and had a wonderful time!!! The condo was clean, comfortable, and the grounds of the resort were amazing. The staff was very friendly, and the resort is in a great area. We really enjoyed being away from the over-crowded Kaanapali beach resorts, yet close enough that we could easily enjoy lots of restaurants, activities, and beaches. We were able to watch whales from the lanai, and loved the amazing view. This condo has everything that you'll need for your stay, and is especially well-suited for families. We would definitely plan on renting here again in the future.

We were able to enjoy 6 wonderful nights and had a great time. The condo was well equipped to meet all of your needs. it had the boogie boards, extra snorkels etc.. the washer and dryer were very handy especially with a 11 and 13 year old kids. Great view from the Lanai great! The Room was quiet and cozy. The nice thing about staying here was the fact that we were able to use all of the hotel facilities even though we rented through the owner. it is centrally located and you could walk across the street to the many shops/restaurants. The kitchen had more than enough utensils and cookware for cooking. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Very nice condo! We stayed in mid to late october and had a fabulous time =) The kitchen was well equipped for cooking great meals (and the condo had grills located by the tennis courts for use). The bedrooms were decorated very pretty, and were comfortable. The walk-in closet was big enough to put our daughter's pak-n-play. Bathrooms were nice and clean, and pretty with good water pressure. The washer/dryer was great (bring some laundry soap though-not provided). I agree with the other Portlander-seating was scarce in the living room. We ended up using one of our pool floaties for extra seating. It seems like the living room was left out of the updates that the rest of the condo recieved. The view was pretty good of the ocean. The beach and pool were excellent (they have 2 pool areas: one garden and one beach side. Both very nice!! and open until 10 PM) The beach is rocky, but that means good snokeling: bring your reef shoes =) The fish Market across the street and to the left is DELICIOUS =) The STARMART was very expensive and there were flies buzzing in the doughnut case (do you grocery shopping in Kahalui).

We stayed in this condo for over 9 nights while our friends stayed at the same property different condo. Boy, were they jealous! This condo is well decorated and well-equipped (with beach and pool toys as well as the kitchen) and a level above other condos at this property. We appreciated the information you provided us before we arrived. Our only suggestion would be to add another seating area (sofa or chair) in the living room area. Besides that, our kids loved their surf room and we enjoyed the flat screen TV in the master room after a long day at the pool or beach. This condo is close to the elevators, making access easy. A suggestion for the property would be to upgrade the pool area; it's pretty blah. So nice to have the beach right there- we walked down after dinner to watch the sunset every night from the beach. Thanks again. We would definitely stay here again.

What a fabulous experience! We concur with the other guests' comments, and would like to add a few more. Our family of 6 had a very enjoyable stay in June of 2008. The use of a washer and dryer in the condo was helpful for our busy family. We loved the location, the beach, the pools, and the restaurant food was some of the best we had on the island. We had plenty of hot water for showers (something noted as a risk in the vacation books). We highly recommend this condo and appreciate the cleanliness and ease of renting. Susan was helpful and so positive. This was our first family trip and thanks to Susan, it was a trip of a lifetime! Mahalo.

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) loved our stay at Kaanapali Shores last month (April) and we would definitely return. The condo was beautiful. The master bed, bath, and huge walk in closet area were all spacious and fully updated. The second bedroom (two twins) was a little tight for teens but would be perfect for smaller children. The surf theme in that bedroom was whimsical. The family room and dining area were nicely appointed and adequate for a family of four but would be tight for larger groups requiring more seating. The living room lanai was wonderful. Sliders open almost all the way to make the lanai an extension of the family room. The view to the beach/ocean was not unobstructed, as Papakea resort rootops and a parking lot are visible, but the view still is spectacular. Whales and boats can be seen in the distance as well as a great view of Molokai. The view behind the resort (from the lanai...turn and look up and around) featured a rainbow daily. The kitchen was modern, spotlessly clean, and offered every amenity you would need for meal preparation. The resort had a nice pool, two good hot tubs, beach/sand lounge chairs provided at no cost, a decent beachfront (not very wide and also sloped) with some shade trees and excellent people watching. There are bathrooms accesible from the beach and a full service restaurant (Never tried it but heard good reports) on the property. Parking is $9/day and offers a covered deck as well as outdoor spaces. This condo was centrally located to Sheraton Black Rock (5 minute ride) for snorkeling, just over half an hour (no traffic) to/from the airport, 10 minutes to Lahaina, and other points of interest. A grocery store and other shopping/dining places are minutes away. Sunset viewing and star gazing from the beachside lounge chairs is highly recommended. Buy "Maui Revelaled" (or flip through the condo's copy) and see for yourself.

Thanks to Susan and family for sharing your beautiful condo. We spent 2 weeks in March 08 with our family of 5. The condo is spacious and well stocked with all of the items that you would desire, including kitchen tools, guide books, and local advice. The renovation is obviously new as all of the items were in top shape. The resort is very nice and is a medium size compared to some of the huge buildings in the area. Kaanapali Shores is very much a resort/hotel building and has the atmosphere and amenities to match. You will not be able to charge meals and drinks to your rooms however because of the private ownership. Not a problem for us. The area is very nice and has easy access to local restaurants and grocery. We also found the local road a very nice place to go for a run in the cool mornings. The owner of the resort was very easy to deal with and was very responsive to any requests and appreciative of feedback.

We just returned from our stay in this beautiful condo. It was obvious that this unit had recently been rennovated. It is absolutely beautiful. It is spacious and airy and the view is absolutely stunning. We were exceeding pleased with both the condo and it's location. It is conveniently located to many restaurants and shops. Also the resort itself was beautiful. We had a wonderful vacation.

This was postively a great condo great resort all the amenities of home on the beach. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery store and shops. The condo is beatiful, gorgous beach. I took my grandson and we had the most wonderful relaxing time. I will be back. We saw 7 rainbows in one day

The condo is airy and spacious. We visited during December and did not even need to put any air conditioning on, just opened the sliding balcony doors and listened to the ocean and birds. We saw beautiful rainbows everyday from the balcony. The master bed was so comfortable I felt like I could sleep forever! The information left on restaurants was very helpful, we even went to the Gazebo Restaurant for breakfast and that is a must! The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful too.. Thank you for a nice peaceful relaxing stay! Aloha

The condo was very nice and clean and well maintained. Just wanted to point out a few things, it would be nice to have a few more small garbage cans in the bedrooms or the big walk in closet area. My husband had a headcold and he had to constantly walk around to the bathroom or the kitchen to throw away kleenex. The instructions left by the owner should include where you can put the garbage, we found a maid and was able to find the garbage drop shoot around the hallway. Also a warning about the very early in the morning garbage pick up.. right outside our windows.. ugh..those trucks are so loud.. it is nice to hear the chirping of the birds, but the garbage removal just reminded me of busy Chicago! If we were warned maybe would not be so frustrated by it. Lastly, the apt was just newly painted and new appliances and wanted the owner to know of two things that should be fixed if not done yet. One is the towel rack in the master bedroom by the tub.. if you look at it it is hung right but if you take your towel off of it from the tub the bar comes off the rack, so something needs to be screwed tighter. Also my daughter said the closet door in the small bedroom was off the track. The Gazebo restaurant was fantastic a must go eat breakfast place! Thank you for recommending it! We did not like Cilantro's in Lahaina for Mexican food, over priced for the quality and thought it was a nice sit down to get there and find out it was a fast food type. I would advise others before going to see the Crater in the National Park to call first and ask about visibility, especially if you are in the winter months visiting. We got all the way there and just in a white cloud.. oh well the shop at the ranger station had great postcards, and souvenirs! I would definitely recommend the property to a friend, we saw rainbows everyday from the balconies and my daughter got to see the humpback whales too from the beach! :)

This condo was perfect! It was stocked with all the necessities. The rooms were clean and roomy. I truly enjoyed my stay in this condo. I loved waking up to the spectacular ocean view. Watching the sunset from the living room lanai was absolutely beautiful. The variety of shops/restaurants/grocery surrounding the condo makes for a perfect and convenient location. I have recommended this place to all of my friends and coworkers. I look forward to returning.

I enjoyed a marvelous stay in this condo. Each room is spacious and clean. The ocean view from the living room and each bedroom is magnificent. We enjoyed sitting on the bedroom lanai in the morning drinking coffee, and sitting on the living room lanai in the evening during sunset. The condo had every amenity we needed. The ambience felt like being at home; very comfortable and cozy. I have recommended this place to all of my friends. I am counting the days until I can return.
