Why the Owner Chose Corpus Christi
We decided to keep the house as a vacation rental because that allows us the most flexibility. Since opening it to vacationing families we have enjoyed meeting many wonderful and interesting people and feel that our guests have been exceptional! We also own an insurance business with an office in Corpus Christi. This allows us the opportunity to manage and care for the house ouselves, with much greater ease.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The location is the great! It is within walking distance (3 blocks) of our beautiful bayfront It's very close to shopping (two malls and several large department stores), many fine restuarants and just blocks from two hospitals (one is a regional children's hospital). Our downtown and marina districts are less than 10 minutes drive along our bayfront, where many of the most popular attractions are located (USS Lexington Museum, the Art Museum, The Museum of Natural History and Science, the Harbor Playhouse, Heritage Park, and Texas State Aquarium. The Gulf Beaches are an easy 15-20 minute drive. The house sits in the middle of a very quiet neighborhood and after a day of sightseeing or playing at the beach it's a great place to relax. The backyard is extremely private, with a mature fig vine adding layers of privacy to the 6foot fence that surrounds the back yard, you can rest assured that no prying eyes will be watching you as your relax in and around the pool.

This home has been in our family since it was built in 1956. We still enjoy our home when we are not busy with our life on our ranch located at Lake Corpus Christi where we raise alpacas, chickens and heritage turkeys and where I have my fiber studio and shop. The house was built by my grandparents. We purchased the house from my mother in 2000.
