Why the Owner Chose Jackson
After an active day, you can relax on the porch or decks in a rocking chair looking at the gorgeous view of the Tetons. However, it doesn't matter which direction you look. The view is everywhere. In the early morning, having a cup of coffee in the swing counting cows and horses on the north deck is fun. As soon as the house was completed late 2007, wild grasses were planted up to the lawn. It gets better every year as the landscaping has matured and naturally fits with the surroundings. Highland Meadows is 130 acres of land with 6 homes on it. Eventually, there will be more homes but it's peaceful and quiet. It's a short drive into town, but I bought this home because of the feeling you have while you're there.
The Unique Benefits at this House
I enjoy the sun on my face and breathing crisp mountain air. If I want excitment, the Jackson Hole and Teton Valley area offers every kind of recreation imaginable whether it's fishing the Snake River, river rafting, hiking, golfing, riding horses in summer, or skiing and snowmobiling in winter. Sitting on the lawn at Grand Targhee or Jackson Hole Resort in the evening listening to music is my definition of a really great time. I also try to get to the Jackson Hole rodeo at least once every summer.
Owner's Map of Jackson
I grew up in Southern Utah, north of Zion National Park. My childhood was spent surrounded by beautiful landscape. Since my father was a cattle rancher, I had many opportunities to enjoy wide, open spaces. When I had a chance to buy a vacation home,I knew Driggs, Idaho, nestled near the Teton Mountains, was the place for me. The skies are bigger and the stars brighter. I like to spend time in places where people are friendly and hard working. This home in Teton Valley is truely western living at it's best !

This house was exactly as described. It was perfect for three couples. The views from the porch were beautiful and the hot tub was very relaxing! We were surprised at the nice grocery store in Driggs. The furnishings were nicer than they appear on the web site and the kitchen was very convenient. We arrived after dark and we followed the directions as sent by the owner and they were exact. We were surprised that the house sits on a gravel road which just made us worry we may be in the wrong place! The drives to Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park were scenic. I would highly recommend this house for the vacationer who wants to get away from the crowds and save money on hotels and dining out. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful vacation at Teton View Home and the view of the Teton's is absolutely astonishing. This home was very well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful and up to date furnishing's. Very comfortable beds. Hot tub was immaculate and the view from it amazing. Especially liked not being close in right next to one house after another. The drive to town and the mountain are very easy and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting a dream vacation.

This is a superb rental in the Jackson Hole areal. Driggs is a perfect location with access to all of the main attractions. The very comfortable home is located out of town in a meadow with awesome views of the Teton Range as well as the surrounding ranges. There is a 360 degree view of the area and cows graze nearby. If you are looking for a relaxing, well appointed home, in a natural setting , this is for you. Grocery shopping and restaurants are within a few miles of the home. The house is exactly as described. It is nicely finished and furnished. It is light and bright with doors leading out to spacious decks. All the comforts of a nice home are here....big HDTV, nice appliances, gas grill and master bath with separate shower and whirlpool tub. The home was very clean and Carolyn provides a nice binder with information on the home as well as activities in the area. We found ourselves spending more time than expected here as the views were outstanding and the house so comfortable. The hot tub is great and shares many of the views. I used it at least twice a day! The drive to Jackson is not long and the views are magnificent. There is easy access to Grand Teton NP there. I was so much happier in our home than being in the Jackson area which I found to be somewhat commercial. The drive to Grand Targhee is close and only a few mountain bikes were on the road when we ventured there. We played golf at Targhee Golf Village which is close, friendly, inexpensive, and quite decent. The cost for two to play 11 holes (that's what they have!), range balls, cart, rental clubs (nice, too) was about $60. Quite the deal! The Broulim's grocery store is very well equipped and we enjoyed using the grill and cooking in and watching the sun set on the Tetons. I wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone that is looking for a well equipped and maintained home that enjoys spectacular views. People who need to be near the action should look somewhere else. Carolyn and Scott, the property manager, are easy to work with and extremely pleasant. This was a very easy, pleasant experience and one I will remember for a long time. Thanks!

MY BEST WEEK EVER

We are a party of 6-adults and 1-toddler, and we stayed here for 7-nights. This house has plenty of room for all of us. The pictures on the website do not give justice, it is a lot more grandeur. We got to Driggs, ID at midnight, and without Carolyn's (to-the-point) directions, we wouldn't find the place. It is very important to read her welcome letter line per line. When we woke up the next day, we were greeted with the MOST STUNNING view of the Teton Mountains. The house is about 1-1/2 drive to Yellowstone, 1-hour drive to Teton Park, and 45-min drive to Jackson, WY. The drive didn't bother us though, the view while driving is so beautiful and relaxing. The house is in the middle of the fields, and the views are the mountains, cows, sunrise view by the Tetons and sunset view of the west. The master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor is perfect with the toddler. The house is super-clean, and kitchen is fully-stocked with all the basic appliances. Knives and silverware are fancy, too. This house made our Yellowstone/Teton vacation PERFECT. Thank you, and I will recommend this house to my friends.

My group included 3 couples, all in our early 30's, and a toddler. The property is a quick 40 min trip through the Grand Tetons and in to Jackson Hole/Yellowstone Nat'l Park. The home is fully furninshed, with wifi, and satellite TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, pots, pans, utensils, cleaning products, etc, just like at your own house. The bedrooms had fresh linens and were very comfortable. The bathrooms were as clean as a 5-star hotel, complete with an abundance of towels. There is a 2-car garage attached to the home, a gas grill on a beautiful wrap around wood deck, with a hot tub included. The view of the Grand Tetons from the house are absolutely stunning! We attended a rodeo and music fest in Driggs. I highly recommend the Teton Brewing Co. micro-brewery just down the road from the house. They offer free tours and free tastings. The local grocery store has all the products and brands you're accustomed to. The owner of this house does an OUTSTANDING job of preparing the home and making it as comfortable as possible. I cannot say enough good things for her. My group had a great time and couldn't have asked for anything more!

My wife and three teenage kids traveled from Boston to Jackson Hole/Driggs for weeks vacation last August. We've traveled extensively throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and a bit to Europe but this trip has become one of our favorites in no small part due to the accommodations. The quality of the house and furnishings couldn't have been better. The hot tub was a bit "ripe" at one point but the incredibly friendly property manager was quick to bring it back up to crystal clear condition. The drive to JH is a bit long (30 - 45 minutes is common) but the views make the trip extraordinary every time. I normally hate spending time in my car when on vacation but this time I actually looked forward to it. A great, quality house in an incredible area.

We traveled from NC for a fall adventure in Teton Valley. The house felt like a home the minute we arrived. So comfortable and relaxing with a 360 view of the valley and mountains. The first night we all slept well in the comfortable beds and were ready to begin our adventures. . My husband and son grouse hunted while I rode horses and we all fly fished and caught foot ball sized trout. Every evening we would gather in the hot tube and talk about our discoveries in this magical valley. The aspens were in full color and the skies were big and the locals were the most kind and generous people we have every met. We will return to this house again and again for years to come. I could not ask for anything more! It was a perfect week!

The house is beautiful and the setting is so relaxing. The view of the Tetons is amazing, especially at sunrise. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The house is a short drive to Driggs, but with only 4 or 5 other houses nearby, it feels remote. There is so much hiking in the area at Grand Targhee, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone. Visiting Yellowstone in a day from here means a lot of time in the car (2+ hrs each way), but the scenery is beautiful and the visits (we went twice over 4 days) to the park were well worth it. Grand Teton is closer (90 mins to Jenny Lake). And one admission gets you into both parks for 7 days. We really enjoyed our long Labor Day weekend stay. And I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I are frequent travelers and have rented houses all over the United States. This time, we were looking for a property to use for two weeks as a home base for exploring Teton Valley and Yellowstone. We have three kids, ranging in age from 7-15. Driggs seemed like a good choice: the town is away from the tourist crowds of Jackson but close enough for day trips over the pass to Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone. We wanted a house that was roomy, comfortable and had great views. We found it all (and more) with Teton View! The owners have obviously gone to great pains to create the perfect rental. The house is homey but not at all cluttered, spacious, nicely decorated and there were plenty of linens and kitchen items. The beds were extremely comfortable - a nice treat after a day of hiking and not at all a given with a vacation rental! And the views! We were surrounded by peaceful plains with the magnificent mountains in the near distance. Very relaxing. The hot tub was a nice touch. Driggs and neighboring Victor are cute towns, with a surprising number of music and bike festivals, some great restaurants (loved Miso Hungry) and a well-stocked grocery store. Overall, I would highly recommend this home!

WOW!! What a wonderful place to stay. It is by far one of the nicest places we have ever rented. The pictures of the home were exactly as the home looks. The decor of the home is beautiful and everything was very well kept. You could tell this homeowner takes pride in her place and making sure that whoever rents it has a wonderful visit. The view of the Teton Mountains is truly magnificient! By the time the process of renting the home, staying there, and the final process of dealing with the owner, I felt like we were old friends. I just wish I had had longer to stay. I certainly would recommend this property to family and friends. We ate breakfast each morning at the Milk Creek Grill - great food.
