The Wavewatch is a beautiful beachfront house just 1 mile west of the main intersection in Gulf Shores. Upper and lower decks attached to the living quarters and a large deck surrounding a 16 x 30 pool give plenty of room for sunbathing and relaxing. The house is directly on the beach with spectacular ocean views. It is one of the premier properties on West Beach.
The Wavewatch is a duplex with each self contained unit designated by 'West' and 'East' sides. Each side contains 6 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms on three floors. There is also covered parking for two cars and off-road parking for an additional two cars on each side. Although both sides are very similar, they each rent through separate listings on this site and the remainder of this description is specific to Wavewatch East. From the covered parking area the ground floor may be accessed via the main entrance or the pool deck via an exterior stairway. The ground floor interior features an entry with a large coat closet and a bedroom with bunk beds and an additional twin bed with trundle.
The main floor features a beautiful open living area with a den/entertainment area, dining area and large kitchen. This level also includes a full bathroom and two bedrooms, each one with a queen-sized bed. The newly remodeled gourmet kitchen includes granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a large bar with seating plus an enclosed pantry.
The top floor contains the master suite, and two additional bedrooms. The master suite has a king-sized bed, walk-in closet, private bathroom and a private deck overlooking the beach and pool. The second bedroom on this level has a queen-sized bed; the third has a full-sized bed. The hallway on this floor provides access to the third bathroom and the laundry area as well as the bedrooms.
The house comfortably accommodates groups of all ages and is appointed throughout with all of the comforts of home in an up-to-date style. This section of beach truly affords privacy but is only minutes away from the attractions and entertainments of Gulf Shores.

I just wanted to say THANKS for sharing your little piece of heaven with our family. Our vacation in June was by far the best family vacation I have had. The house was wonderful and the memories made prices.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family and I stayed here July 14-19 of 2010. Talk about a little piece of heaven. Wave is a beautiful beach home. It is immaculate and very spacious. We had a blast! Having it's own pool is a major plus for anyone with children. Our children spent all their time in the pool. They loved it and so did we. The beach was beautiful. We had a wonderful beach getaway and will recommend Wave Watch to everyone we know. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My family rented both sides of Wave Watch in the summer of 2008. My family took one side (grandparents, aunts/uncle, cousins) and my husband's family took the other. It was perfect. I thougth going to the beach was great, but going to the beach with your own pool is even better. At the time we had 5 kids, 6 years old and under. They could only take the ocean is small doses, and it scared some of them. They were perfectly happy playin in the pool all day. The location was perfect. It was on the main drag, but in the middle of privately owned rentals. You don't have to share a beach with thousands from a high-rise facility. The house was immaculate. It felt so homey and comfortable. We had 11 on the East side and we were not cramped at all. And no one had to sleep in the living room. That is a huge inconvience, stepping over someone's things because they don't have a room to sleep in. It truely slept all of us just fine, with some space left over. It was also nice, espcially with small children, to have a full kitchen so we could stay in and eat. It saved us a lot of money as well.
