This Condo was exactly as described. You get to stay on the strand while not being on display like many strand properties. The view from the living room and deck was incredible. You are also far enough back from the beach that the noise of the beach is fairly muted. Regarding the property itself, the pictures are very accurate. The beds were really comfortable. Including the pullout couch. The Condo was clean and nice. Really comfortable in every way. Also everything you need is there. The property is very close to the pier so we walked to everything. We would absolutely stay here again. We might wear more sunscreen though :-)

This is our third year vacationing at Manhattan Beach in this magnificent spot. The condo is located right on the beach and is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. No need for a car! The strand and bike path are right out the door. It's an affordable and well maintained condo. I highly recommend this amazing vacation spot. The sunsets are amazing.

Can't beat this location and the view. Walk to the beach, restaurants, shops, etc. Ilham manages the property and is incredibly helpful and a joy to work with. The condo is clean and has comfortable beds. We used it as a base to see friends and family and be tourists in L.A., while also spending time at the beach on on the deck enjoying the views.

We had a wonderful and relaxing visit to Manhattan Beach. The location is ideal -- near restaurants and shops. We loved walking on The Strand. Ilham is so helpful. Also, the condo is super clean and well equipped. The views could not be better. I already miss seeing the ocean. We will be back.

We had a great stay with an awesome view. Wonderful location to beach, Manhatten Pier, town restaruants and shops. Woke up Sat morning to see 34 surfers, 3 dolphins, 2 volleyball games. Son in law biked to Santa Monica on bike provided by rental. My husband and I brought our bikes and biked both directions of the Strand. What an enjoyable vacation. Everything was as described by Ilham. She was available for any questions and recommendations. Only down side was hide a bed upstairs uncomfortable but what do you expect from a hide a bed. Couch was great for sitting and watching the beach. Definitely recommend to friends and relatives.

This was our first time to Manhattan Beach. We fell in love with it. Much better than Santa Monica and Venice. The house was steps from the beach, restaurants and shopping. The beach was very clean. The house had everything in it, you just needed to bring your clothes. We will definitely be returning to Manhattan beach!

Great location! Ilham was great, very informative on area attractions. And very attentive to any needs that we may have had (had non). Steps to the beach, restaurants, shopping, a quant beachside town. A must is the Il Fornaio restaurant at the Santa Monica Pier. Also Gjelina on Abbot Kinney Blvd and Milwood in Venice where there were numerous star sightings. Redondo Beach, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Dana Point, Mulhulan Drive not too far away. Took a flight lesson over to Catalina from Rob Williams (an excellant instructor) out of the Santa Monica Airport. So much to see and do in the area. Definately would recommend.

Manhattan Beach is our favourite part of LA and were keen to be able to stay in a beachfront apartment. Ilham was a very amenable host and the apartment was in good order and very clean. It was great having the bikes and garage to use and we were fortunate to be able to use the unit late on the day we had fly back to Australia. The Manhattan Pizza place is great for a cheap eats to watch the NBL and Mamma D's did not disappoint us and was as good as we remember from six years ago. If and when we return to LA we will definitely try and stay here again.

Enjoyed 2 weeks in Manhattan Beach and LA. Couldn't have had a better location... steps from the Strand and the beach. Could walk everywhere to eat and shop. The apartment was clean, kitchen well stocked, great views from the deck and...big plus...a garage. Ilham (owner) was so delightful and always checked to be sure everything was OK. Everything you need, including bikes, for a fun beach vacation.

We love time on the Strand, and this is a perfect location. Great views from the living room, and a nice deck for people-watching. We made good use of the two bikes! Ilham (and Rosemary) were wonderful and accommodating.

This was the third time since our first stay in 2009. And we really, really love it: staying at Manhattan Beach in Ilhams apartment is really the highlight of the year. Manhattan Beach is the nicest beach of all the LA beaches, perhaps even in Southern California. And the apartment has everything you are looking for in your holidays: the best view on the beach (the apartment is really directly located on the beach front), the full equipped kitchen, a very comfortable bed, everything you need in the bathroom, very fast internet connection, a balcony with a bbq, bikes in the garage and: Ilham, the very helpful and super friendly owner. The weather is always good in Southern California but this year we really only had blue sky and sun and not one drop of rain. Even with the long flight from Germany we will definitely come back to our paradise in Manhattan Beach.

We just got back from a fabulous week at this property. We had rented the same one 2 years ago and couldn't wait to return. The location is fantastic and the property has everything you could want - bikes, beach chairs, a barbecue and a deck which provides the best sunset view one could want! I highly recommend this property and Ilham is a pleasure to work with - so helpful and accommodating. This will continue to be one of our favorite getaway destinations. We'll be back!

My family and I just got back from a terrific week in Manhattan Beach. We were impressed by the photos of the unit, but they honestly didn't do it justice. We were so happy with the rental. The location can't be beat, right on the Strand, right on the beach, view of the ocean, 2 blocks to downtown Manhattan Beach... We had so much fun. The owner is very friendly and flexible. It is so nice that the unit has extras, bikes, boogie boards, chairs, etc. I do recommend checking ahead of time for local activities... the owner is very current on what is happening. The day we left was the start of a huge volleyball tournament that took over the town. It was fun to see but it's good to know ahead of time what to expect. We will definitely be back!

The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything. The rental provided parking,bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs and sand toys. The house was VERY clean and fully equipt with EVERYTHING you could possible need. Ilham greeted us on arrival and was there if we needed (but we didn't, cause it had everything). I rented last year through a Manhattan Beach management company for 2 weeks. Needless to say I didn't book with them this year! You won't be dissapointed if you chose this rental!!!! The photos are great but reality is better.

We had such a great time we didn't want to leave. Loved drinking coffee on the balcony in the morning with the ocean view. Enjoyed riding the bikes along the Strand. We had the pleasure of renting this lovely unit. I grew up in Manhattan Beach and was looking for an authentic beach experience to show my family where I grew up. The home was just perfect for our family of 5. Everything inside was stocked for our use with an abundance of thick towels, plush bed linen, kitchen utensils, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach charm. The 180 degrees view was outstanding. Most important of all, LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! We could walk or ride bikes to restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. We barely drve the car anywhere and just relished being right there on the beach. Having a parking place was priceless! Ilham made us feel so welcome and was eager to assist us in anything we inquired about. I look forward to making this our annual vacation away from the snowy mountains of Colorado. If you are looking for "the place" this is it, look no further...Everything about this rental is accuratly described and photographed and I would and already have recommended this place to others. It exceeded our expectations.

This rental is in a prime location close to everything. The owner is very accommodating and helpful. Since our flight was cancelled we had to change our arrival date. Luckily the rental was available and the owner had not problem allowing us to come later. You can't beat the location, view and hospitality.

This was the best vacation, all because of the accommodations!! Location is perfect!! Right on the beautiful, CLEAN, beach!! Wake up in the morning, walk up the street for a starbucks and enjoy it on the beach watching the dolphins and surfers!! Perfect!! Go to sleep listening to the waves!!!

Beach Vacations Don't Get Better Than This !!!

I would definitely come back to this Condo in Manhattan Beach. I don't think I could descibe it any better than it has been in the owner's listing. The pictures are beautiful, but until you see it for yourself, it doesn't capture the beauty of this "resort". Ilham was very kind and went out of her way to accomodate us. She has thought of everything in terms of amenities. Whether you are young or old, a surfer or chef, she's thought of it all. The accommodations were lovely, sparkling clean, beds were extremely comfortable, state of the art technology, etc.. I loved the openness of the upstairs kitchen and livingroom area. The two bedrooms were good size with lots of closet space and a good size bathroom downstairs for 4 womem to share. You are within walking distance to everything - restaurants, pier, beach, shops, rentals, markets, etc... It's location, location, location to everything!!! We ate at Manhattan Pizza, Mama D's Italian Kitchen and the Cupcake Couture, locally. A little further away we ate at Pancho's, which is Mexican and that was great also! I would highly recommend this condo property to anyone visiting the Los Angeles area. This was our second visit to Manhattan Beach and we much preferred this rental over our last. I also preferred renting the condo over a hotel property as it gave us a new home away from home. I can't wait to come back! My highest regards to Ilham. She's a wonderful host!

Just like the listing said, this property is 5 doors from the Manhattan Beach Pier, central to almost everything. We pulled into the garage, and didn't use our car the whole stay, because everything is within walking distance, Restaurants, stores, delis, the pier. Ilham is wonderful, and recommended great restaurants and events for us. I would recommend this rental unit for families and couples, it is clean and well maintained, and was just as the listing and the pictures described it.... Will definately stay here again if going back to Manhattan Beach, and recommend to our friends/family.

Location is perfect and the apartment was great. The building was built in the 1950s but it has been updated and maintained well. It was exactly as advertised and we had plenty of room. The apartment is well stocked. Ilham (the landlady) is very nice and we were confident she would be helpful if any problems arose. She had great maps and reviews on every business in Manhattan Beach. My wife and I are mid-60's and retired. We have rented several times in Manhattan Beach, and this was by far the best and exactly as advertised. Our daughter, her husband, and son from Denver joined us for a great week at the beach. There is lots of room for spreading out and that, along with the 3 TV's, allows kids in particular to do their own thing. Also, very nice is having your private balcony with great view of the pier/beach and your own gas grill. The large deck in front of the main house allows larger gatherings. Having a garage parking spot was super, as our past rentals all had street parking, which is almost non-existent. Finally, Ilham, the owner/agent, lives next door and was always available to help us and quickly answer all our questions.

This property is ideally located to everything you would want or need in Manhattan Beach. There are bikes provided to ride the path from Manhattan to Palos Verdes. Beach chairs and boogie boards for your use. Beautiful view from the balcony and full use of a huge porch overlooking the strand. Plus parking in a garage, which is really important in Manhattan Beach. Ilham makes sure that everything is covered. The immediate neighbors are friendly and considerate. We would love to stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

This location could not be any better, easy walking to almost anything you could possibly want. The photo's really don't do the location justice, the view from the balcony deck stretches out to infinity and the main deck is the perfect place to stretch out and relax. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and cooking implements, and if you don't want to cook just walk over to any of several restaurants or simply call and have something delivered! (not just pizza, almost anything is available!). Having our new friend, (the property owner/manager) on site was wonderful, she was never intrusive but always ready to provide a suggestion for places to eat or things to do and if we had needed anything else I know it would have appeared in an instant! The evenings and nights are quiet and peaceful, with the sound of the surf always there to drift you off to sleep in the amazingly comfortable bed. Having an actual garage in Manhattan Beach is the ultimate luxury, parking is at a premium on the ocean so having a spot to put your car is wonderful. Once you park it you probably won't get it out again until you leave because there is so much to do right outside your door. Dinners at Fonz's and Cafe Pierre are wonderful if you are a foodie, and breakfast at Uncle Bill's is always an experience. From sitting on the upper deck with your favorite beverage to biking up and down the strand touring the piers this strand property is wonderful for adults and families alike. We simply cannot wait to return.

This vacation rental it is perfect. It´s directly located on the beach, it´s very clean and Ilham does everything to make your stay truly enjoyable. As opposed to some other LA locations, Manhattan Beach offers everything you need in walking distance with a sunset that is simply unbeatable. If you do not want to take the car, you can spend the day watching surfers try to beat the waves around Manhattan Beach pier or you take the bikes to Venice, Santa Monica or Redondo beach. At the rental everything is as described. WiFi, barbecue, dishwasher, washing machine etc. and everything works. Coming from Europe where vacation rental is often very simple with the entire transaction through a single website, renting directly from the owner in the US can be a little exhausting (we have made our experience, signing lot´s of waivers etc.). Not so with Ilham, everything was quick, only one rental contract and we faxed the credit card authorisation. Absolutely no surprises. We will definitely be coming back.

This apartment is directly located at the beach, so you can enjoy the view on the sunset directly from the balcony. Manhattan beach to us was the most beautiful beach of Los Angeles - nice shops, restaurants and a very clean and quiet town. We loved the bike ride from Manhattan Beach to Redondo Beach. Although Manhattan Beach is not far from LAX Airport we never heard the planes. It is really a place to relax. Ilham - the owner - cares about every wish one could have. Although the apartment is equipped with everything one needs - high speed internet, kitchen for all needs, bikes, beach chairs, towels and so on - she is ready to help you directly if you ask her. The apartment is very nice, clean and offers a lot of convenience. We loved the big living room with the balcony and large windows to west and north. A note to shoppers (as we are): you will find everything you need in close proximity, there is a choice of at least 3 big malls within the range of 15 minutes driving. We really loved this holiday and we want to come back next year - what we really never did in any holiday elsewhere before!

We just got back from spending a week at this property. It was wonderful. The location is excellent - within walking distance to everything. I wanted to comment on our stay for the week of July 4th, 2009. This location is by far the best in all of Manhattan Beach rental properties. It is next to the pier and walking distance from all the great restaurants, shops and bars downtown. (You can just park the car and walk everywhere) The rate was also the best value on the Strand. The hospitality of the owner and the property manager were outstanding. You feel you are welcomed into their home and not just a paying guest. The place was extremely clean and had everything you need for a week on the beach for adults and children. Overall it was a great experience and vacation and I would highly recommend this rental to families and adults. I hope to do it again next year. David and Diane Fitzgerald

Manhattan Beach has been a favorite vacation destination of ours for more than 5 years. Our stay in June was by far our best experience yet. The location of the rental could not be better. Not only are the ocean views spectacular, everything you could possibly want is within five minutes walking distance. The rental is spacious and stocked with every imaginable amenity to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. Ilham is truly cares about her guests and is anxious to please. We will definitely return.

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed here for 3 1/2 weeks after moving back to the U.S. from a long overseas residency. The place is great. Fireplace, sunsets, the cool air from the Pacific, the pier. It's only a few minutes walk to several breakfast spots and upscale restaurants. The Whole Foods is only a ten minute drive, but you dont even have to go because there's an excellent local grocery store that stocks a wide array of fresh meat and fish. It's close to several other great neighborhoods like Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach (which has a 24 hour Golds Gym) and your only about 20 minutes drive from downtown L.A. Ilham (the manager) is a great person and was a gracious and extremely helpful host. If I ever come back to L.A. in the future, I would check this place before bothering with other rentals or hotels.

We stayed at this property for an extended weekend and had a wonderful time. The views are gorgeous,up and down the coast. The location is very convenient, steps from the beach and a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The unit is very clean, bright and comfortable. The landlady is great -- very frendly and helpful. We plan to return soon!

I highly recommend this property. The location is fabulous, it is clean and spacious, and I agree that "You will not find a better location" or a better value. Ilham was helpful and gracious and did her best to keep us happy. We intend to return soon.

A perfect place to stay. Ilham is a great person that goes out of her way to make you feel super comfortable in all ways. The view from the terrace was absolutely awesome and the sound of the waves was so relaxing. My family ( three children under 10) and I spent six weeks travelling in USA in 2008. This was the best place we stayed at. Manhattan Beach was great, the apartment was great and the Landlady (Ilham) was the best part of it. She could not have been more helpful.
