Wonderful family getaway

We stayed at this condo with our three college-age children, one of their friends, and our infant grandson. The accommodations were clean, well-maintained, and perfect for our family. The beds were very comfortable, a highchair and travel crib were available for our grandson, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The view was absolutely the best; we were literally steps from the beautiful beach and enjoyed stepping out on the balcony to listen to the ocean waves. Julie was very responsive when there were problems with the air conditioner and it was repaired right away. During our stay, problems with internet could not be resolved, although Julie attempted and was very responsive. I have already recommended this property to friends and family and look forward to returning as soon as we are able!

I've stayed at these condos a few times over the last few years, and they never disappoint! I took several friends who had never been to SPI before and they really enjoyed the accomodations. I especially liked the deck along the beach with lawn furniture, it was a nice place to sit and enjoy the sunrise. The new swimming pool/hot tub was great too. Julie was just a phone call away when I needed her, and she was was helpful as always. Definitely two thumbs up and we will be back for sure!

Perfect getaway

We spent the long Easter weekend at this condo and had an ideal time with our 20-something son and another couple. The condo is in beautiful condition and literally steps from the beautiful beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Our friends have a small dog, and having a unit on the ground floor made it incredibly easy to accommodate him. Every day we walked on the beach, sunned ourselves, swam in the Gulf and then relaxed in and beside the lovely pool. Even though it was Easter weekend, the beach and the pool were not at all overcrowded. The living room of the condo is spacious enough that we all felt comfortable relaxing and reading together. The kitchen was just the right size for us to cook yummy dinners from scratch, then gather 'round the table and enjoy the food and company. The bedrooms were spacious, the beds extremely comfortable and the bathrooms also in tip top condition. All in all, it could not have been a more pleasant and enjoyable vacation. We all recommend this unit without reservation.

Family Weekend Getaway

Highly recommened!!! We had a family get together over the weekend and we had a blast! The condos where amazing. The views breathtaking and just loved waking up in the morning, sitting on the balcony, admiring the view while drinking my cup of coffee...! Everything was as discribed. The condos where very clean and well furnished...made us feel like home. The pool and the spa area was sooo refreshing and relaxing. Can't wait to go back!

Great Simple Place to Visit SPI

This is indeed a great little condo to base your travels from. The VRBO listing needs to be updated as some of the amenities are understated since Julie has changed the double beds to all queens which are great, new and comfortable. We were there over Christmas and we basically had the beach and property to ourselves. The pool and hot tub are in excellent condition and the property has a lounging deck that extends the length of the property with great outdoor couches with coffee tables that create nice conversation areas as well as numerous chaise lounges for sunning. The only down side to the property at the moment is the extensive renovation being done on the front end of the property. The old Bahia Mar hotel is undergoing a complete remodel or demolition as are seveal of the condo's in the front half. This gives the appearance of a derelict property when you first arrive and has left the parking area torn-up until you get to the beachside of the property. So, don't let the first impression fool you. This is a good property, especially for the price and some of the best beach access on the island. You can walk across the road to the bird sanctuary and the sea turtle rescue and the convention center is a couple of blocks away. Defintely on the quiet end of the island. Good wind and great beaches for kiteboarding, kite flying or run up the island a half mile and be in the undeveloped portion of the island - horses, quads and hiking or jump on a watercraft and tour the bay. This is a great property for families with kids of all ages since you have the pool and the beach right on the property. Also, there is security at both entrances and only guests with proper parking passes are allowed on the property so less of a worry with your kids coming and going to the pool or beach. I would move this from a good to an excellent experience once the construction is completed in the front half and the property's esthetics are back in place. This is definitely a great place to take a group to explore SPI and all it has to offer year around.
