Yet another great time here-so glad to have been able to come back again, same time last year. We have hope to be "regulars" now! We had a rainy start to the week, but we enjoyed ,just resting in this beautiful home. We got in several days of skiing at Shawnee Peak- Beautiful weather!We hope to see it again next year!

We had a great week! Thanks for making the slight change in the normal schedule to allow us to leave on Sunday. We were here to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. The setting was perfect for some family time. We gave the canoe a good workout! The fire pit was lots of fun and the s'mores were the best.Everything we needed was here and we felt at home right away. Our party was a total of 8 people and the cabin was plenty big enough. Maybe we will come back in the winter. We'd love to try snowmobiling. We had a lovely dinner at the Oxford House in Fryburg. They were very accomadating and the food was exceptional. Good luck with your family fishing tournament. Thanks again!

visiting friends for a week during their stay in the cabin was a real treat. The lake is beautiful and the walk through the woods to get there is beautiful!Thank you for making it all possible.

Dear MCcabes, I had another great vacation here and I always do. Every year I get so excited to come here and I have so much fun. I also saw a bunch of deer and some snowmobile trails and some turkeys. I also had a very fun time skiing at Shawnee Peak it was a blast and hopefully next year we will be back for more fun.

We stayed this week here.This was our honeymoon.which we spent sightseeing the White mountains primarily. It rained a couple of days and was sunny the rest. The house was accomodating in all conditions, the view was very enjoyable, and all in all a nice trip. we suggest Merlino's in North Conway if you get a chance. Good luck with future endeavors.

Had a great time for our Christmas vacation. The cabin was so cozy and the decorations were amazing. we did get snowed in for a day but still had a great time. Thanks so munch!

First time in Maine. Weather was beautiful! Cool mornings and evenings,and warm days with no humidity.We hate to go home to the 100 degree weather.We enjoyed walking down Main Street, fishing in the lake. Most of all we enjoyed getting away from the hectic pace of our lives. The cabin is gorgeous and comfortable, the scenery spectacular, and we hope to someday return". Thanks so Much!

The best thing about this place is the way the path to the water looks at night with all the colored lights strung from trees and bushes. The outdoor fire pit was very enjoyable. It is located on a dead end street which makes it quiet. However, this place was a disappointment to our family. Whoever is cleaning for the owners is not earning their pay. There were spider webs and dust everywhere. The bed linens on at least 2 beds had not been washed. That may have been because someone made the beds before leaving which would have led the cleaners to believe that they had not been used. The washer and dryer are very old and not working up to potential. The sprayer on the kitchen sink was leaking badly. The outside stairs both front and back were very steep. I would not recommend this place to a family with young children. The porch and stair railings were very widely spaced and needed to be better secured. The wooden walk way to the bog was is disrepair and we had a number of slips and falls. It just was not safe. I would not consider this place as a summer place at the lake, but more a winter get away. If you are looking for a place to swim you won't be doing it here.

Owner response:We were not aware of such problems as we are only hearing this now 3 months later. We let people know up front that there is only a boat dock, great for canoeing . Because of the high rafters we do our best to keep the cabin in tip top shape. We have had several families with children that have had great experiences with there stay at the cabin as we have a guest book that the children have wrote in themselves time after time. The cleaners did not make us aware of the leaking sink. We are in always trying to improve , and are updating on a ongoing basis.Thank you for your honesty we will take this information and keep improving.

I have been to the cabin many times and loved it. It's perfectly decorated and beautifully maintained! It's warm and cozy ont he winter nights after a long day of Snowmobiling and the perfect refuge on a summer night after a day on the lake!!! I just can't say enough about McCabe's Sanity!!!!
