Welcome...... Your vacation will begin with a 20 minute ferry ride across the crystal clear blue waters of the Caribbean to the beautiful Island of Isla Mujeres. Casa Sian Ka'an is a 5 minute taxi ride from the Ferry.
Our charming studio sits on a winding Caribbean road across the street from one of Isla Mujeres's beautiful white sand beaches. From our roof top you will experience one of the most beautiful sunrises on the island. You can enjoy your coffee while listening to the sounds of breaking waves on the beach and watching the island come alive. The panoramic view of the East side of the Island is breath taking. On any day you can watch a school of dolphins playing as they search for food, watch the charter boats passing by on their way to fishing areas and large Mexican Navy Battleships are a frequent sight and just watching the waves break on the shore is a full day or relaxation.
Our studio is nestled in a private courtyard behind the main house. The courtyard has seating for 6 and is decorated with tropical plants and colorful pottery that is made locally. There are several bakeries, restraunts and grocery stores within walking distance. There you will find several markets that sell fresh fruits, vegetables and butchers that will cut your beef, pork or chicken to your desire. The gas grill in the courtyard is perfect for grilling any time of day.
The roof top area offers a panoramic view of the East side the island. Wheather sitting in the pool, relaxing on a reclining chair or sitting under the palapa, the view is exquisite. Prepare a cooler of cold beverages and your favorite snacks and enjoy your day by the pool.
Our studio has a Queen size bed, AC, dining table, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, electric skillet, crock pot, hot pot, all dishes, cups, silverware, utensils and soft cooler bag to make your stay comfortable. If your stay is longer than one week, fresh linens and towels will be provided for you to change over. There are several local laundries in the area that will launder your clothes and be ready for you to pick up the next day. Our house and studio were custom built and are just 4 years old.
Your day at the beach is just steps away. Across the street you can walk the beach and collect an assortment of different shells that wash ashore daily. Bring your snorkel gear and swim among the coral heads enjoying the variety of fish living there. Picnic on the beach, get a bronze sun tan, read a book or just enjoy doing nothing while the beautiful Caribbean waters come ashore at your feet. During Turtle nesting season (Green Turtles-June thru October or Leatherbacks-March thru June)you may find a fresh nest on the beach, if you do, do not disturb it.
If you are interested in fishing, please ask about personalized charters and we will check availability for you. Our fishing gear is all First Class. During your day of fishing you may catch a tuna, red snapper or wahoo. If trolling is not your pleasure, we have the newest electric deep drop equiment to catch the grand daddy of grouper, red snapper and trigger fish. After a great day of catching, bring your catch home and grill it in the courtyard or you can take it to local restraunts and they will prepare it for you. If you are interested in sailfishing, during the season we can hook you up.
Golf carts or mopeds are available for rental(by day or week) IN TOWN so you can come and go as you please or tour the Island at your leasure. We have off street parking for your rental.

Why the Owner Chose Isla Mujeres
We enjoy entertaining, snorkeling, spear fishing, deep sea fishing, people watching, walking, collecting shells that wash ashore daily and cooking/grilling. This area is perfect for us as we just walk across the street with our snorkel gear or dive tanks and have a great day of water fun or we will just enjoy the beach without the crowds of people.
The drive to downtown Centro is only 5 minutes. There are many shopping store selling a variety of silver, shells, t-shirs and other sourvineers. There is also a supermarket for shopping with a nice selection of grocerys.
The Unique Benefits at this Efficiency
We built the house with a roof top for entertaining. There is a full bathroom, dipping pool, wet bar and palapa on the roof top for a full day of fun. There is seating for sun tanning or shade for relaxation. The pamoramic view of the east side of the Island has the best sun rises anywhere. The privacy of the roof top is perfect for relaxing and on windy days it is a refreshing place to be and you do not have the sand blowing in your face.

Dave and I live on Isla Mujeres full time. We enjoy the pace of the Island and have many friends that keep our social life busy. We built our home in 2006 with the studio for guest over flow. When family is not here we rent it out. We love the location, the sound of the waves breaking on the beach was the selling point for us. We are on the main road but away from the hustle and bustle of the central area which make this perfect for relaxing.
