Why the Owner Chose Dauphin Island
We chose Dauphin Island because it is a great getaway only 45 minutes or so from our primary residence, yet seems a world away. When we cross the bridge to the island we feel like we are on vacation, even if it's just for the weekend! We love that the island has some of the best food around! We love cinnamon rolls from Lighthouse Bakery (if you ride a bike to get it the calories don't count), and pizza from Island Rainbow. Fresh shrimp from Skinner's is a favorite dinner.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home is located on the East end of Dauphin Island, in a quiet, residential area with private neighborhood pool and beach. We hope that visitors to our home will feel like they have their own beach house for the week they are there. Our home is well equipped with everything WE need, so you will probably find everything you need! This is not just a "rental home", it is our second home, and we love sharing it and Dauphin Island with our guests.
Our home is located at the end of Isabella Court, with gorgeous dune views and views of the golf course to the west and the gulf to the south. It's a short walk to the community beach, pool, tennis co

Owner's Map of Dauphin Island
Our family loves Dauphin Island. This is a photo of us on the back deck of our home. We built our home in 2002, and have enjoyed many fun times at the home. Our boys enjoy skimboarding, playing on the beach, and having friends down to the island to visit. We love to relax on "the most comfortable sofas in the world" and on our screen porches and back deck.

We spent a week of R & R. Easy access to a private beach. Loved the pool for night swims. We cooked our meals and enjoyed the mini reunion of our entire family from 2 yrs to 80 yrs. Plenty of room for everyone. Went fishing and everyone caught something. The locals were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed Hamburgers from The Loon Restaurant and pastries from the Local Bakery. The guys went golfing - bring your own clubs. The ones you rent were not much to write about. Otherwise is was enjoyable. The girls took the Ferry to Gulf Shores for some real shopping. Everyone enjoyed the relaxed home feel of the house and the quiet community.

We rented this home for a 3 generation family get together and get-away. Family ages ranged from 2 to 60's and we had everything we needed; from crib through bikes & toys, dvd player, gas grill, etc. Short walk to beach passing the pool and tennis court along the way; all of which got good use. Quiet beach island, but enjoyed fun day at water-slide and jet-ski rentals. Highly Recommend. Owner very friendly and helpful.

Our family, and 2 other groups of friends, just returned from 7 days of Heaven at the Harmony Beach home. I have never stayed in a place so well equipped to provide every possible need!! We loved the bikes, the outside seating, the hammock and we seriously appreciated all the beach chairs, umbrellas, and wagons!! What a huge help for traveling to and from the beach. Our weather was perfect. Only one day of clouds. We highly recommend eating at the Island Rainbow, the Pelican Reef, and Beaudeens. All serve great food. The house is as beautiful as the pictures show. Very comfortable beds, and plenty of room in the house to spread out. There were 9 of us total and never once did we feel cramped in the house. The owners have done an amazing job of keeping everything organized and made us feel very welcome to be there. It was an excellent experience and we highly recommend Harmony Home to anyone looking for a relaxing place to spend their vacation.
Owner response:I'm so glad that your family and friends had a wonderful time at Harmony Beach home! I especially loved seeing the photos you posted on our Harmony Beach Home facebook page! We look forward to having you visit again. Thanks so much for your stay and your kind words!

The house is spacious, comfortable and we totally loved our stay. We were out for relaxation, quiet walks on the beach, a little biking of the island(bikes supplied)...all of these we had. If you have children there is so much for them to do. We were a group of adults, but we had fun with the puzzles supplied...but there are lots of games etc. Highlly recommend the local seafood shop for buying fresh fish and the bakery shop on the island was amazing. We like to cook and the kitchen was well stocked. (my mom made homemade pasta and my husband made a gumbo) . My favorite was sitting on the screen porch and reading- very comfortable. Thank you Julie!
Owner response:Thanks Ann Marie, for your kind comments. I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed our home. It was so nice to get to meet you, and I hope you'll return!

The Harmony beach hous was exafctly what we were looking for in a family vacation - beautiful home with everything we needed for a week at the beach. Easy access to the pool and beach, great deck nestled in the dunes and breezy porches on the main and upper floors for reading and relaxing. Everything in the house was in excellent condition - the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking all types of meals. We had a great time exploring Dauphin Island, playing golf and walking the beach. Great Home in Quiet, Semi-Secluded Area

This home offers enough space to comfortably sleep 10 people and give everyone a little privacy. The house is a five to ten minute walk to the beach, which is beautiful and clean, but doesn't have much in the way of waves. I took off a star for "Accuracy of Listed Amenities" because the dining room table may seat 12 small children, but will only comfortably seat 8 adults.
Owner response:The dining area of our home, as indicated on the Homeaway amenities list, includes the bar with 6 barstools, a large dining table with 6 chairs plus a bench. The bench comfortably seats 3 adults or four children, for a minimum total of 15 (which is a larger group than our home rents to or is indicated). Thanks!

The house was amazing! We had teens, toddlers and young adults with us and all had a blast. Plenty to do on the island. It is so quiet and beautiful. We had everything imaginable at the house - games, beach toys, books, bikes, etc. No one complained of being bored! Thanks so much Julie and Steve. The Yorks, LaGrange, KY
