In Anaconda, you can catch a movie at the elaborate Art Deco Washoe Theatre; golf 18 holes at the Jack Nicklaus designed Old Works Golf Course; take a train ride on the Copper King Express or shop 'til you drop in the many fine retail and antique stores.
If you enjoy history and great architecture, then you'll want to take the Bus Tour that is put on by the Anaconda Chamber of Commerce.
Just 15 minutes away is the 2,900 acre Georgetown Lake and Discovery Basin Ski area. Enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, snowmobiling, skiing and other outdoor activities.
Visit Philipsburg for some more old western hospitality. There are stores that sell minerals, homemade candy, ice cream, antiques and more. Nearby you can mine for your own minerals or explore old mining ghost towns.
There are many local eating spots to satisfy your hunger after a day of exploring the area. If relaxation is what you need, then you can enjoy the homey and comfy atmosphere of the Cowboy Cottage. The home comes with a full kitchen with everything you could need for a short or long stay. If vegging out is in order, then you can honker down on the comfortable seating in the living room which comes with a stereo and television with DVD player (and movies). All you need is the popcorn.
