Napa Vacation Bungalow in Old Town Napa Walk to Dining/Shops

Year Purchased: 2007

Why the Owner Chose Napa

Bill and Paul visited friends in Napa and fell in love with Napa's geographic beauty, world-class restaurants, wineries and its proximity to San Francisco. They searched for many months to find the perfect home. The Napa Vacation Bungalow turned out to be an ideal location balancing privacy with access by foot to downtown Napa shops, spas and restaurants. With so much within walking distance and wine tours available to pick you up from our home, you can enjoy an auto-free vacation!

The Unique Benefits at this House and detached studio

Guests who stay at the Napa Vacation Bungalow have told us that the pictures on the web don't do it justice! They find the home peaceful, relaxing and quiet, with everything possible provided and that they'd come back in a heartbeat.

We've strived to create a special place that isn't fussy or uptight and doesn't feel like a rental but feels like your home might feel. We've created a place that we love to visit when we can and we reasoned that if we really liked it, others would too. And it worked! We are always thrilled when guests arrive at our house and we watch the reaction on their faces as they see the property for the first time. It's always fulfilling and reassuring to know that guests are totally delighted with their selection. That is the start of a memorable vacation!

When we can't be present to greet you, our greeter, Dori Bianco will arrange to meet you when you arrive. She'll get your oriented to the home and all the amenities and start you off in the right direction. A local Napan, she knows how to get you that last-minute reservation to the finest restaurant in town and she'll direct you to the best wineries and secret haunts to make your experience really special.

Owner's Map of Napa

Both Bill and Paul are artists who live in the Bay Area. Bill is a full-time photographer and Paul works at the University of California San Francisco directing research projects. As an alternative to the buzz of the big city, they love the peace and quiet of Napa. Bill loves to cook and both love to sample good wine. In their spare time, they survey the back roads of Northern California on their motorcycles and love to go motorcycle camping. They designed the Napa Vacation Bungalow to be as comfortable and relaxing as possible and figured that if it met their expectations, chances are, it would meet other's. So far, it's been a great success. Almost everyone that visits says the property is much more beautiful than the pictures on the internet led them to believe. Practically everyone seems to fall in love with the peaceful, attractive setting. Seriously -- read our reviews! Bill and Paul are excited to have you stay at this oasis while you visit this amazing area. They welcome everyone. (They're supportive of marriage, for everyone, and families, of all kinds.)

    • We had an awesome time at this rental house. It was nice to be able to cook own meals and not go out every night. The house was situated near everything and you could walk downtown. Also the hot tub was a nice feature to be able to unwind with a glass of vino after dinner and trekking in the valley. The home looks newly decorated and tastefully done I might add. It came equipped with everything needed. Dori, the host was also excellent. She had info for pretty much everything Napa and also had connections and recommendations for Napa and the area. Would definitely recommend this property to family and friends. Don't hesitate to book. Thanks again and wish we could have stayed another week. Mark W.

    • Wow, I cannot say enough about this house or its owners. The property is beautiful. The yard gives an amazing zen like feel. There was nothing I needed as the house is stocked with everything. The design in the house is beautiful, and the artwork makes the house feel upscale. I would stay in this house again in a heartbeat.

    • This bungalow is better than the description! It is a walking distance from Downtown Napa and still a very quiet neighborhood. It has everything one might want or need to wine tasting or gourmet cooking. The house is tastefully decorated and is very comfortable. We had the chance to meet the owner and the property manager and they are both adorable, providing an excellent customer service. I would not only recommend to a friend, but I also want to come back. We had a wonderful time!

    • We were so lucky to find this wonderful home. Bill and Paul are the best. They were at the home to great us when we checked in to make sure we could find everything we needed. Their level of detail is extraordinary! The finest 5 star hotels could learn a few things from these two. This home is totally stocked with everything you need to enjoy a home away from home. The hot tub is so inviting after a hard day at the wine tours! Not to mention the linens and down comforters to slip in between at night. Bill and Paul have described their home very well in this listing, but you really have to see the home to appreciate it. It is nestled in a very quiet neighborhood, yet so close to all the conveniences. We highly recommend this home. We hope to stay here again!

    • My family and I recently stayed in Bill and Paul's bungalow, and found it to be perfect for our needs! Six adults comfortably stayed for a week without any problem. The house was nicely furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed for meal preparation. The location was ideal - a close walk to downtown Napa, and an easy drive to both San Francisco and wineries throughout the region. Having a home to go back to at the end of each day was so much more pleasant than hotel rooms and the perfectly landscaped backyard and spa were a definite bonus!

    • Our group traveled from all parts of the US to spend the weekend in Napa and our stay at Bill and Paul's bungalow was key in making our trip a great experience. They have thought of every detail to make their guest comfortable. The house is beautfully decorated and spotless and is set up in a manner conducive for socializing. We esp enjoyed the backyard spa and BBQ. The house is stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, bathrooms, office, etc. Plus, it is centrally located and convenient to all the activities we did while in Napa. I wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone interested in a vacation rental.

    • What a great place to stay while touring wine country. A group of friends traveled to spend an extended weekend and could not have asked for a better location and house. Everything was provided... a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, fluffy towels, a shaded backyard with a cozy deck, and a hot tub. (To name a few!) And our experience with the owners was great as well, from obtaining the contract to meeting them on day one at the house. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

    • Beautiful, clean home full of every convenience possible. Its like being at your own mini resort.Close enough to the wineries and great restaurants in downtown Napa but without the 'busy' of town. The decks, private landscaped yard, grill and hot tub make for a perfect retreat after a day of visiting the wineries. The owners are very accomodating and helpful from signing contracts to arranging check in/out times and anything else you might need. You cant ask for a better place to vacation!

    • My extended family and I spent a week in mid-June 2008 at this great bungalow in Napa. It's tucked away on a quiet street in a semi sleepy part of town. Close enought to downtown, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The main house has a great shower/bathroom and the living space was open and airy. The house was VERY CLEAN. Comfy beds and furniture. The owners are very attentive and available. When we go back to Napa again, we will definitely try to stay here.
