Villa Paraiso... for the vacation of a lifetime! Enjoy the total luxury provided by our Villa on the Caribbean with its beautiful white sandy beach. The Villa was designed and built by a local architect who combined traditional Mexican and Mayan influences with sweeping arches of stucco, domed brick ceilings, terra cotta, and talavera tiles; yet includes all of today's modern conveniences in its 4000 square feet of luxurious living space.
Walk through the lush tropical garden with its coconut palms, colorful bougainvillea and hibiscus, and dozens of orchids growing on the trees. As you walk up to the entrance to the villa, you will notice a large stained glass window in a tropical motif done by a local artist. Step inside and you will look past the living room and see the pool surrounded by its large tiled terrace, the white sand beach and the incredible turquoise water of the lagoon. The dining room and kitchen with a large breakfast bar are on your right. Go through the arched door on your left and you are in the master bedroom suite with its magnificent oceanview. The sliding glass door opens to the pool and Jacuzzi, perfect for a midnight dip!
As you go up the curved stairway in the entry you will notice the three story stained glass window as it casts multi-colored light on the white stucco walls. On the second floor is a large curved wet bar and comfortable sitting area with a traditional Mayan brick dome ceiling. What a great place to watch the Satellite TV/VCR and listen to the stereo or just relax with a Margarita and enjoy the view. Outside is a second-floor, covered terrace with two handmade hammocks, each large enough for two people. Great place to read a book or just listen to the waves rolling in and nap.
On the left of the sitting area is another master suite identical to the one on the first floor. Through the arch on the right are two more bedrooms. One with an oceanview and one with a garden view. All bedrooms have a king-size bed. Continuing up the curving stairs you arrive at the rooftop terrace. The view is unbelievable! A great place for private sunbathing or just sitting around the table and having a drink while you watch the sunset.
The entire house is air conditioned for your comfort with Hunter fans in every room if you prefer to leave the windows open and enjoy the sea breeze. The villa is furnished in the traditional Mexican-style with bright colors and comfortable hand carved chairs, tables, and cabinets made by Mexican craftsman. The paintings and decorative accessories are by local craftsmen and well-known local artists. The staff live on the property in their own casita. They are excellent cooks, so be sure to try their authentic Mexican/Yucatan cuisine. They will make every effort to make your vacation truly a vacation of a lifetime!
The reef in front of the villa is perfect for snorkeling and we provide you with all the necessary equipment or you can bring your own. There are three dive shops in Akumal if you want to scuba.
