We have owned this beach house since 2002 and enjoy its confort and location more every time we are there. If this is your first time staying in Rio Del Mar Aptos you are sure to like the family friendly area. Safe beach, deli, resturant, coffie shop set in quite area. Though it is still centraly located to Santa Cruz, Capitola, and further south Monterey.

Perfect vacation for a small family... and so close to the beach!

My family of two adults and two children stayed here for a week last month and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, being less than two short blocks from the water. The home was clean, comfortable, decorated nicely, and relaxing. And the hot tub on the roof was an added bonus and we kicked back up there a couple times. I also really appreciated the wi-fi! This house was spacious for a family of four, and I'm sure it could work for larger groups if they were going to use the pull-out couch. For us, it was just right!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed during April vacation. We have four kids and we slept comfortably with the additional pull out sofas. The kids loved the hot tub. It's a great deal for the area, a lot for your money and everything is close by. We were able to eat in saving a lot of money. We would recommend and want to come back again!

We had a very nice time at the stones throw beach house. The best part was its easy one block walk to Rio del mar beach. We stayed with 2 couples and 2 children 8 and 12 years old. The place fit our needs well. The house is updated and nicely decorated. I have stayed at many rentals in the Aptos area, and most are not as updated and comfortable. The other really nice thing was the rooftop hot tub. It was nice to look at stars and the ocean from the roof deck. We will definitely be returning next year.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
