Why the Owner Chose Mont Tremblant
We picked the 2040 la Chouette because we wanted the convenience of being ski in and ski out. This was important when the kids were small because they dressed inside and skied from the door. It also meant we could come back for a forgotten item easily and quickly. It also meant that we did not have to coordinate schedules and rides to and from the mountain. The kids could play outside and we could walk to and from restaurants. As the kids got older they were free to go out on their own without being chauffered around. As the village is right next door all the amenities are there including pool, movie theatres and shopping. We are next to everything but not on top of it so it is much quieter than in the village itself.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
As this unit is rented by me the owner I am available to ensure that the unit is in good condition and clean for every visit. I have also tried to put in place features like free Wi Fi which are very necesaary to most people these days. I have upgraded the basic cable service to include more English language stations than those offered in other units. There may be other units on the resort that offer ski in/out but they often require a shuttle bus to get home or are in the heart of the pedestrian village and therefore noisey. My unit is located where nothing is more than a couple of minutes walk away but not over top some bar or restaurant.
Owner's Map of Mont Tremblant
I have skiied at Tremblant for over 40 years. I have skiied in Europe and throughout North America and still love the unique challenges of this mountain. The mountain offers a full range of terrain and the grooming is second to none. There is no doubt that the Quebec flavour of the resort differentiates it from other eastern ski destinations. The ski school is one of the best in the country.

2 Bedroom Unit Next to the Village

This unit has everything you need for a stay and was clean and offers great bang for the buck. The only thing you might need to bring is a larger garbage bag and some extra paper towels. We cooked most of our meals in the chalet which saved a lot of money. It's a three minute walk to the spa and another 30 seconds to the middle of the village. You have to cut through the trees but there is a path. The owner was very helpful answering all the questions I had. I was not easy to deal with. For the price you can't beat this place and location. It's good for three friends, two couples or a small family if you can deal with one bathroom. The pull out couch was comfortable. I am recommending this to my family and friends I just worry about it being booked for next year.
Owner response:People reading this review should understand that I am advertising 2 units on this site. One unit is a two bedroom loft which is larger and is on 2 levels, it sleeps 6 in beds. This review relates to the smaller unit, the two bedroom, which is only one level and sleeps 4 in beds but does have a pullout couch. As the reviewer indicated, the attraction of both units is the location, at the edge, but not in the pedestrian village. Convenience, without the need of a shuttle of bus to get to and from the skiing, restaurants, shops or anything else at the center of the pedestrian village. You completely avoid the inconvenience of being stuck in a condo half way up the mountain and the irritation of trying to sleep through the noise from a bar on the ground floor of your condo. We try to keep the rates as low as possible and always quote with all the costs such as taxes, fees, cleaning and parking included. Thanks for the helpful comments! Steve Millington

This condo is part of the Condos La Chouette complex. The location is awesome.. close enough to the pedestrian village without being in it. This unit is a lot roomier than one can imagine. It's tough to see from the pictures, but the 2nd floor is huge!. My 6y/o daughter loved the 2nd floor... she referred to it as her own private cave :) I was impressed by the mattresses (all of them), all nice and firm... rare for condos in this price range. The shower head is just perfect.. not the water saving kind that only has water trickling on your back :) Most fridges in similar condos don't do a good job... so I'm used to cranking the control close to max.... OUPS... yours works just fine... I actually froze everything that was on the top shelf the first night :) I readjusted it for the next day. My only negative remark would be that I had issues connecting to the internet... but that doesn't mean the source of the problem wasn't me!.. so let's not waste time on this :) Would I recommend this to friends and familly... definately. Will I be back... for sure. I'm actually looking forward to pre-book four 2-3 day stays during the HPDE season at Le Circuit in 2012. Another note... Steve is super efficient with regards to the whole logistics issue, getting back on e-mail requests promptly with clear instructions. Great place, keep up the good work and the great condo, because I intent to do business with you more often in the future. Phil
Owner response:Wow thanks for such a glowing review! I am glad you had such a good time and enjoyed our condo so much. Come back anytime. As far as the internet is concerned the router quietly quit working and I have since replaced it with a much better model (dual processor) so it is not supposed to slow down if multiple users are on line at the same time. We stayed for 4 nights at the end of August. Great location and just as described on this site. The kids (9 and 5) loved the loft and it was really great to have 2 seperate living areas. It is pretty tight up there and not easily accessible if you have any mobility issues. This wasn't an issue for us. We had a hard time getting into the door with the lock system, but figured it out and didn't have any other issues afterwards. We were a little disappointed in the stocking of the condo, no paper towel, napkins, dishwasher soap or spices that I was willing to use. Overall a great location close to everything but far enough away that you don't hear the pedestrian village. Would reccommend to friends and family for sure. Thanks Steve!!
Owner response:The lock system is highly convenient in that it is a simple code i.e. keyless, which allows guests to come and go on different schedules as there is no key management required. I have made a special note on the information document I send to all guests to turn the latch clockwise after inputting the code. With respect to stocking the condo there should have been dishwasher soap, paper towels and salt and pepper, unfortunately the cleaning crew sometimes overlook restocking these basic elements. In fact I have given the cleaners a storage closet in the unit for just this purpose so it is disappointing to learn that they have not done so. I will follow up with them. Thanks for the feddback as it helps me deliver a better vacation experience for all. Steve Millington

Our young family had a wonderful time at this condo. The kids did indeed love the loft, it was a huge hit! The kitchen was fully equipped and a good size as were the bedrooms. The proximity to the village was great, we could walk to everything. Clean, quiet, and close to everything, perfect for a fun family weekend at Tremblant. Thanks Stephen!

The condo was clean when we arrived. The photos are accurate, but we didn't realize how tight the access to the loft would be. It's accessable via a ladder, and the ceiling is pretty low up there. The bedding is fine, and there's plenty of room, if you're not tall. One bathroom was advertized - and it's tiny. Really nice towels though - thick and good sized. The kitchen was fairly stocked - half sized dishwasher and fridge. Good location for walking to the village :) Laundry is in basement of each building - access code needed, but machines were free to use. Overall we enjoyed ourselves!
