Our house is situated in the sleepy town of Nicholson, only a 4 minute drive south of Golden, off highway 95. Our mountain getaway is a wonderful way to escape your busy city lifestyle. Enjoy a glass of wine on our new 600 square foot deck while taking in the beautiful view of the Purcell mountains and Columbia Valley. Or relax your tired muscles in our new 8 man hot tub, after a day of skiing or snowmobiling. This full acre property is excellent for vacations with family or friends. However, our newly renovated master bedroom is a cozy retreat for that romantic couple.

My husband and I got married in Golden and rented this beautiful home as our little getaway from the chaos of the rest of weekend. The experience was awesome! Our wedding party enjoyed a relaxing hot tub party under the stats the night before and my bridesmaids and I got ready at the house the following day. The accommodations were relaxing and cozy- just what a frantic bride needs! And of course the scenery surrounding the property was breathtaking!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Arrived at the property early evening to find it heated for us and extremely welcoming. The property was spotless and there was coffee just ready for us to press the "brew" button. The photos on the website do not do the views justice - they were breathtaking. We stayed there for 3 nights for our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet - we will definitely be recommending this property to our friends and family.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.

Arrived at the house and it had not been cleaned. There were ashtrays with cigarette butts and ashtrays everywhere. There was garbage and beer cans on the deck with wasps and maggot in them. Went inside and the countertops and floors where filthy. Beds had old linens on them and had obviously been slept in by the last renters. The fridge was so gross we had to clean it before we could put any of our own food in it. I contacted the rental agency and they sent a cleaner who did a terrible job and in no way brought it up to satisfactory shape. The rental agency was very unapologetic as well. A terrible experience and I would warn any others far away from this place. The beds were uncomfortable and old and the furniture was worn out stained as well. It is in a ugly part of town and there are far better deals and nicer places to be had. Again I would very much suggest you steer clear.Owner response: We make all efforts to our guests feel comfortable. We pride ourselves in cleanliness and comfort. This property is located immediately next to one of the most outdoor adventure parks in BC, Golden’s Eco Adventure Park and is nestled at the base of one of the most famous hang-gliding mountains in western Canada. The views are spectacular. Should you need anything during your stay, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will have someone there to assist you within the hour. We welcome all guests and families; however, if you are planning to bring pets, it is necessary for you to advise us so we may take appropriate action to ensure the comfort of future guests. This property is excellent for families and ski groups. Contact us for additional seasonal discounts.

$250/night up to 5 people - 2 night minimum (Jan 16-Dec 14) $300/night up to 5 people - 4 night minimum (Dec 15-Jan 15) 25$ per person per night for each additional person (6 years old and over) Unregistered guests will get a charge of $45/night. $500+ damage fee will be charged to credit card if premises is damaged, items missing or left in filthy condition. $20 admin-changes to processed creditc 25% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 10 days in advanc If you cancel less than 7 days in advance, no refund unless re-rented.
